Then you go get red card every game you play against  Kierlon.
I doh see what all de uproar is about...when man sharing sex and wrong address right and left nobody complaining about how he gallerying. If de move legal then take yuh beats like ah big man and stop facking up de game wid yuh ruffian tactics.

Agreed. He look like he like gallery, but so what.....licking dong de fella is a tacit admission that you have no answer to his tactics. Also the man small so they feel they could rough him up. If tall, strong fellas like K. Jones was to do that how much physical treatment you think he will get.

Wim lines up Mexico, El Salvador

Meanwhile, Lincoln Phillips, T&T football's technical director, feels that T&T should have played many more such matches at this stage.
At this stage we are still ahead in the ball game, but not by far. We have never started our programme immediately after the World Cup, we usually wait two years before doing something. It would definitely be better for us to be playing games, regardless of which teams we play."

Mexico my ass.

How are we ahead when Jamaica supposed to be playing Nigeria and we playing El Salvador. And as for the Mexico match this is at least the 2nd time this year TTFF announced we playing Mexico, maybe we will get the Mex Women's u-14 this time.

Nice to see Jones doing well and recieving praise.

But acclaim is a two edged sword, where you find that you also find criticism. I'm sure he understands that the intensity of the criticism will be just as strong, if not stronger, in those times he suffers a lack of form. Remember when Beenie commented that even Jones does not know how good he is? He should have many good years in the EPL and hopefully a few in CL.  :beermug:

Ok but didnt the Government give money to them and if so could they not investigate.

As I understand it the gov't donation did not come with any legal bearings on the specifics of how it was to be spent. A kinda "free" money thing, like donating to a charity that claims to give $$ to orphanages. If no specific claim is made as in "we'll give $100 to 2 orphanages", then if they give $.01 and spend $99.99 on salaries then they can legally claim to have fullfilled their mandate. I am not in law, so others could tell me if I'm off on that one.

AKA in N. America as corporate welfare

Close...except the government money wasn't a donation per se, but a 'goodwill gesture' if you will.  The government was just buying some political capital by piggybacking on the outpouring of pride and nationalism that followed the Germany campaign.  They didn't want to lose face to one of their biggest political opponents (Jack and the UNC) so they was trying to be in thing by giving away public money.  Unless there was some type of stipulation as to how the funds were supposed to be spent then the recipient (TTFF) is free to spend...or not spend, as they see fit.

I used that analogy b/c this situation reminded me of the fire an' brimstone Southern preacher who encouraged people to send him money so he could donate it to an orphanage in Haiti. He even showed video footage of himself visiting the orphanage. You know de scene; poor black children with distended bellies, far away look in their eyes, cobo rushin dem, yadda yadda . De man was huggin dem up, blessin dem; he bawlin big tears an all kina ting, beggin people to sen $$$. The priest in charge of the orphanage say how the preacher is de sword of God, how he save X amount of children life etc, etc. Well 60 minutes or somebody do a expose on him. Yuh know mih boy was sending  only $20-$30/month to de damn orphanage and pocketin MILLIONS! They even talk to the priest. The priest tell them he had to smile and let the man gallery because $20month better than nutten.

The poeple that donated this money, much of whom were elderly African-American widows looking to do some good in the world, were not legally entitled to a single penny in compensation. Robert Tilton was his name.

I wonder why the government cant charge the people in TTFF with fraud.

TTFF is a private entity...whatever they do with their money is not an issue for the Government.  Would be differently if they misappropriated public funds...or the funds of investors.

Ok but didnt the Government give money to them and if so could they not investigate.

"Oliver Camps, the T&TFF president, could not explain the vast difference between the two financial statements. He was driving when contacted by the Express and, he explained, could not concentrate on figures at the time.

He did not feel he could help if the Express contacted him later either.

"I would prefer if you call (T&TFF general secretary) Richard Groden, who should have all that information," said Camps, who has led the local body for over a decade.

Groden was not at the T&TFF headquarters when the Express called and the staff were not certain when he would return.

but Hardest saying Rangers should have called him in first and hear his side of the story which according to Hardest( or TI)...is that the Passa Passa Football was like "community Service"....maybe a point ...but this is Pro football son.....

You right, in in a way he was right  ;D. The Pro league could worse than to have some of its players visible in the sporting life of the community that they supposed to represent. Especially if they are well known sons of the community itself. Maybe more than the players padnahs go show up to watch PL ball. But he signed a contract and his actions were not sanctioned by the terms of his contract. Jemmott passion seems to lie in the type of football where he makes less money but where he is an important member of the community; that is a strong consideration for some people, worth more than $$$.

Pro league reserves? I have not seen any games but I follow the scores. can't be too bad as some regular subs in PL play sometimes. I believe some current  and former  SSFL players like Trent Lougheed and Elijah Manners play in reserves.

1) He spoke of the inconsistency of the weather, probably patterns that had a decline in temperature. A warm summer morning that turns into chilly conditions can be very miserable

2) I once did a media interview after a big tournament and handed in a written release offering my summations. The news story was quite different from both my written and verabal comments. It was not the first time that happened nor the last, but it was startling how different their version was.

Peace

I'm sure anybody whoever play University or college ball in the "Great White North" could relate...Since the season is in the fall...lehme tell yuh, even as yuh love the game, sometimes social and environmental factors ca be a slight distraction...especially during practice...then if yuh live at distance...sometimes yuh doh wha leave the warmth of yuh humble home, sometimes yuh hit ah slight depression,  then yuh realize shim "ah better get going yes", especially if is yuh bread & butter....so yuh late.....BOOM...traffic in yuh sc**t....so now yuh stressed, yuh hustlin, cause yuh doh wha get buff etc....
30 yrs in the same Company, an everyday (except in d summer) ah late ! Lucky ah had the mind to try to be the best at what ah do, otherwise they woulda fire/drop meh arse long time...Even for semipro sports was hell if we had ah early morn. wknd practice or game..
Yet ah fine Roberts sound like he coping well, considering he may not have a wife/family like mine to harass meh arse every morn (throw cold water, play horsey times 3 jockey etc....it was always a welcome distraction to dis day, for me to sometimes - even during practice - to daydream how ah could maintain all this opportunity, and get back home..
Fight-up Mr. Roberts, it go make yuh better an stonger..xperience will serve yuh well down the road...

Now since ah was ah hour late this morning, ah better show these ppl why they shouldn't bench meh oui

I played University ball in Ontario and it not easy runing around in short pants in quite October, sometimes  November. Especially when man giving yuh talk for shivering, teeth chattering etc, not mention sittin on a bench so you can't even sweat to get warm.

Yes, Cuba will be in our group at the next stage.  They go cut we tail and we go go home. No Beijing.  I guarantee it. Such is the state of our soccer.

Just pray that T&T are the hosts again for the next round.

Like how Jamaica was host of the WC U 17 qualifying?
Yes! And T&T hosted both the U-17 and U-20 World Cups. The 2007 Digicel Cup Final round and CFU Youth Cup for the past 3 years. ;D ;D

TWO-TIME champions Joe Public has taken a decision not to compete in the National Super Football League next season.

The other clubs also not benefiting from the fund include Defence Force and WASA, both government institutions.

Warner said when the club asked for an explanation as to why Joe Public would not receive the fund, a totally unacceptable reason was given.

The insult and utter disregard meted out to Joe Public by the relevant authorities in this regard as well as certain persons associated with the Super league cannot go unnoticed and unaddressed.”

Hmmmm.....is the Warner's stranglehold on football slowly coming loose? Or just politics. How dat medicine taste going dong yuh throat Daryll

After our youth team appearence in Korea Uncle Jack told me he was visited by the ghost of football past (Dom Basil) and had an epiphany.....he has finally seen the error of his ways and has vowed never to raff another penny from T&T football. He now wants only to do good for his national team and his country. He has sworn a blood oath to defend our football against its real enemy, the GOVERNMENT. Inspired by the ethical principles of FIFA,  he is asking Oliver Camps to retire to pave the way for a younger, independent person such as Shaka Hislop whom he has less chance of influencing.
