Dr E. Williams refered to Indians as a 'stubborn and recalcitrant minority'.

2] When Bhadase Sagan Maraj/Maha Sabha started to build and operate primary schools, Eric Williams referred to the Hindu schools as 'cowsheds'. ... See More

3] Dr E. Williams said that Indians have ring worm in their brains.

You have credible sources for these?

Sat Maraj probably....

What he, meaning Trinity Cross, isn't going to tell you is that he is taking someone's response from an article in the guardian and posting it as if it were true.......

General Discussion / Re: Full list of Cabinet Ministers
« on: May 31, 2010, 07:03:13 PM »
Brilliant article.  It not only points out our convoluted system for the administration of justice but also makes the subtle yet clear point that the creation of the position of 'Minister of Justice' is a bit of a waste.  It's almost as though Kamla searching for wuk to give to Volney.

From what I can tell our AG is supposed to be like the US AG... except that they've taken away the prosecutorial job of the AG and given it to the DPP.  The DPP can be retained, but in my opinion should be aligned under the AG and should report to the AG.  Directives should be given by the AG and there should be little discretion to depart from those directives.  A parallel position should be created for the litigation of civil (non-criminal) complaints.  For instance, when prosecution environmental or other class-action claims (similar to the US Justice Department's suit against 'Big Tobacco' a decade ago).

Now since the AG is a political appointee this begs the question, what if there's a conflict of interest?  Say in the case of Ish Galbaransingh, a reputed UNC supporter.  Now that a UNC appointee is prosecuting his case (under my proposed model) how do we resolve this?  Simple, by the appointment of a Special Prosecutor to be selected upon the advice of the High Court and whom will be free to direct the inquiry as s/he sees fit.

This will only compound the redundancy of the proposed Minister of Justice... and should help confine it to the scrap heap of history once the next administration is voted in.
So how  ppl like we could come up with these ideas but they can't??

General Discussion / Re: On CTNT world. check it out now!!
« on: May 30, 2010, 08:10:49 AM »
sorry i missed it. what was it about?
It was based on the first indentured indain workers who came to the british colonies particularly guyana, only these indians were kidnapped and stolen from calcuta by unscrupulous plantation owners and forced to work for free.

it also dealt with the separation process that the british plantation owners wedge between indians and former african slaves. when the indians arrived, the africans were angry BC they lost their jobs to the indentured workers, they tried to protest but their pleas fell on deaf ears.

same thing happened in TNT, when the indians arrived , the african left for the urban areas tuh find employment, that was the first stage of the ill blood between blacks and indians, the 2nd was when the british, who did not want the indians and the africans mixing with each other for fear of the africans spilling the beans on the true nature of the white british mentality, began spreading propaganda to each group about the other, it was ah safe and effective way the keep the two groups @ odds with each other, you know, divide and rule..

the british did this shyte every where they were! they did it in indo-china, palestine, and in the west indies, they are real mischief making bastards and is responsible for the isreali palestinian feud, the chinese indian fued in nepal, singapore and tibet, the west indies with the african and indians, and in india between the pakistanis and the indians !

they are no good lying crooks!
doh forget how they treated the indigenous peoples of north america and austrailia

« on: May 29, 2010, 10:06:42 AM »
This whole thing is just silly... this is the inevitable result of politicizing trivial matters.  People criticized Manning for building the PMs residence saying it extravagant and how he building palace to himself.  At the time I tried pointing out to the few here that whenever he leaves office the building stays behind for whomever his replacement would be.  But people shortsighted and when they get they "ignorant" up it ent have no reasoning with them.

We have "First World" aspirations but doh want to foot the bill for that.  I agree that some of Manning's priorities can be questioned and that his officious attitude in governing was rightfully rejected.  That said however, on this particular matter, upgrading the PMs residence and integrating a conference center with which to host foreign guests and dignitaries makes perfect sense except to those who refuse to acknowledge it.
I always thought the controversy about the PM's residence was unjustified and yet another attempt to make Manning look bad , not that he needed help. The PM's residence is the PM's residence not anyone's personal property, case closed.
Jah Gol, I totally agree
my question was "why did it have to be that extravagant?"
It seems to be at a scale of say a country as big as the USA
