Football / Re: Whim's biggest challenge
« on: July 13, 2006, 11:48:58 AM »
He biggest challenge go be de dotishness dat does pass for sports journalism in T&T.

Is jes a matter of time before Andre Baptiste start repeatedly playin de Nakhid interview accusin Wim of bein a racist.

Den yuh go have de usual suspects like de one's who was on he radio show de oddah day talkin bout Wim never coach nobody and dey eh givin local coaches no opportunity....conveniently bypassin Anton Corneal birthplace in de process in addition to dem own failure when dem had dem opportunity wit de national team.

He biggest challenge go be all de insecure, bad mind, neurotic, and xenophobic ex footballers, local coaches and supporters who go be out to spread de message of de "white man" and how he still keepin de "black man" down.

couldn't have said it better myself..............

Football / Re: Beenhakker has a Selection Problem on His Hands !
« on: January 25, 2006, 11:13:39 AM »
Out of that 19 u call I feel u a little quick to include Cornell and Warner. If Hecotr Sam start to rip when he come back from injury, Cornell spot in trouble. Plus, doh forget Scott Sealy when the MLS start back. And Colin Samuel if he wants to be a striker now. Warner and Ince fighting it out...and I feel warner hadda real impress cause Beenie seems to show loyalty. So tha's 19...then we need a backup at cb, lb, lm, dm...so rougier stil in with a chance for the defensive mid.(Spann is the cover for right back or atiba charles could play both right back or centre so his spot probly safe too for that reason)

warner is the only top flight regularly active GK we have right now. ince aint playin, shaka sometimes and jack aint playin

Football / Chelsea get Barca repeat
« on: December 16, 2005, 06:15:47 AM »
chelsea will again face Barcelona in the last 16 of the UEFA Champions League, while Arsenal will play Real Madrid and Liverpool play Benfica.

In a repeat of last year's controversial tie at the same stage, Jose Mourinho's men will this time play host to the Spanish giants in the first leg.

The Premiership champions will then head to Camp Nou for the second leg, which was the scene of last year's controversy involving referee Anders Frisk.

Another England versus Spain tie will see Arsenal face Real Madrid with a place in the last eight at stake. Real will host the first leg at El Santiago Bernabeu after coming second in their group.

Reigning champions Liverpool will travel to Lisbon for the first leg of their tie with Benfica, who disposed of Manchester United in the group stages.

Another glamour tie sees last year's beaten finalists Milan facing German giants Bayern Munich, with the first leg in Munich.

Rangers have been handed a tie against Spanish side Villarreal after becoming the first Scottish side to come through the group stages.

Ajax will play Internazionale, while Juventus will play German side Werder Bremen.

Interesting that T&T's participation in the World Cup helps to provide "food" for our CONCACAF neighbours, especially some neighbours who are in dire financial need according to them.

Yet they still begrudge our qualification.  Not ALL....but a significant amount.

Those who come here to talk about "they wonder if Jack will get upset seeing that Jamaica helpin to beat T&T" just betrayin their ignorance and jealousy.  Which is the better opportunity?  Bahrain or England?

Dumbass.
