However, given what he has had to work with, the big issue is that blame isn't being evenly allocated to the players, the board and all the stakeholders that have our cricket in the sorry state as it is.
Whatever the case, the captaincy thing should in no way infringe on his dues as one of, if not the greatest batsman that ever lived. We should be lauding him and showering the accolades, because the best batsman of our generation has left us.
It is shameful that he has to leave in such acrimonious circumstances.

April 26th, 2007.
Another incident at the Club Zen has resulted in one man being wounded during an incident which is said to have involved a popular Soca Artiste and his bodyguards
25-year-old Russel Pollanais is reportedly suffering from skull fractures and other injuries after he was allegedly beaten up by the Soca Star and his entourage.
According to reports a party of fourteen persons, several of them British Nationals, was visiting the Club when one of them accidentally spilled a drink on a female who was dancing with the Artiste.
It is alleged that the Soca Star walked up to the individual and slapped him in the face.
Bouncers responded immediately ordered the party of 14 out of Club.
Reports are saying that the Artiste followed and attacked Mr. Pollanais who was with members of the group at the time.
Mr. Pollanais was reportedly thrown to the ground and beaten.
Police visited the Club but eyewitnesses say they did not question the Star.

As for ganga.....he better of not captaining and mixing with those fellas on the current team....cause they go push him out of the team ...esp if he make captain before them.
Anyhow I hear a talk last night about an incident that happen in WI camp before the last couple of game. I eh know if i should repeat it cause I cant really verify itnor did I ask if i could repeat it. If is true, then all Trinis in for a HARD time in the WI squad. So no way i want Ganga to take licks from them fellas.

but seriously.....umpires has to watch a man action to see if he pelting, then watch the line to see if he over step, then watch to see where the ball pitch, then see the spin of swing of the ball and which direction it travellling, then watch if the ball hit the edge of hit the pad first then watch to see if the keeper was going down leg side and see how he appeal etc etc etc... u have to be real talented to be an umpire yes.

The founder of legendary hip-hop label Def Jam has called for three sexist and racist words to be banned from songs.
Russell Simmons said there was "growing public outrage" about the use of the terms, which he said should be viewed as the same as "extreme curse words".
He asked broadcasters and record companies to voluntarily remove, bleep or delete the words from music.
And he suggested setting up an industry watchdog to recommend guidelines for lyrical and visual standards.
'History of oppression'
Simmons, the pioneering entrepreneur whose label has released music by Public Enemy, Run DMC and the Beastie Boys, objects to the use of "nigger", "ho" and "bitch".
He said: "The words 'bitch' and 'ho' are utterly derogatory and disrespectful of the painful, hurtful, misogyny that, in particular, African-American women have experienced in the United States as part of the history of oppression, inequality, and suffering of women.
"The word 'nigger' is a racially derogatory term that disrespects the pain, suffering, history of racial oppression, and multiple forms of racism against African-Americans and other people of colour."
Last week, Simmons called a private meeting of influential music industry executives to discuss the issue.
'Social responsibility'
But no music executives were associated with the announcement by Simmons' Hip-Hop Summit Action Network.
Simmons added: "It is important to re-emphasise that our internal discussions with industry leaders are not about censorship.
"Our discussions are about the corporate social responsibility of the industry to voluntarily show respect to African-Americans and other people of colour, African-American women and to all women in lyrics and images."
His comments follow the sacking of US DJ Don Imus for referring to the players on the Rutgers university women's basketball team as "nappy-headed hos".
