Show me Gayle's score in a match I will tell u how significant the match was. The higher he scores, the less the match means/meant - and vice versa >:(.  No surprise he looks fantastic today (still batting with zero foot movement, but what do I know about moving feet)

I have never seen a pro athlete who needs a shrink more.

Steups!  >:(   yeah boy.....that waste a time come and make a few runs today when it eh count..... and i almost sure dem dotish selectors go make him vice captain for england tour. GRRRRRRRRRRRR  >:( &%*%^&*@^@**!@*!

Y the selectors feel we have to leave things to chance by putting men who does voop and not men who does bat with skill? Anytime u see a batsman doh move his feet...is cause he is a wild man, and is chance we taking with them every time them kinda fellas go out to bat.

hmmm... dont be surprised if they come and make chris gayle Captain or vice captain.

Does anyone have this feeling that the Australians and South Africa teams are taking steriods, something is not right.

Frankly, i wouldnt put it pass them.

However, thats not excuse for WI playing shit. Is KFC fault.

Cricket Anyone / Re: Its between Ganga and Sarwan for WI captaincy
« on: April 20, 2007, 07:11:20 AM »
the problem if Ganga becomes captain is that the current players and the rest of caricom commentators will undermine him. I feel dem fellaz would do shit just to spite the man. I honestly feel that he would perform better as captain.

The best bet is to fire all a dem and pick a new young side put ganga as captain give them a good fitness trainer and protect them from the bad habits that will be passed down by the "star boys" . After all what is the worst that could happen? we go lost? - bad?

Cricket Anyone / Re: Lara retires from ALL International Cricket
« on: April 20, 2007, 06:59:54 AM »
Brian Lara is one of the greatest players the game has ever seen.

In my opinion, all things considered, now is the right time to go.

I would have liked him to carry on in Tests but given that a new captain had to be put in place, because Lara was not a good leader, for both forms of the game- was Lara prepared to 'lower' himself to play under a captain like Sarwan or Ganga in Tests?

And how many more years did he have in him at the age of 38. Maybe its best that he has bowed out whilst he is still one of the greatest batsmen in the history of the game. Like RRamdin said a few days ago- he has gone out leaving us still wanting more- and i dont think this is such a bad thing.

Even if Lara played on until he was 40 he would prolong a few test match defeats to the 4th day instead of the 3rd but this is no benefit for me.

We need to hit the bottom of the pile in Test cricket and then maybe the administrators of West Indies cricket might finally put some proper systems in place that will improve our cricket in the long run. Now that Lara is gone we will reach the bottom of pile sooner which may be a blessing in disguise.

^^^^ True.

i glad he retire, though i wished he had gone out on a high note. The man could overs that stress now and just spend he money and dont have to study nobody trying to undermine him. The last time around, he shoulda just come back as a normal player and concentrate on making plennnnnty runs.

watch how boines and dem gone take credit for it now and look like heroes for sending them eh

Touches point taken though, yuh have to score goals at this level.  Latas missing to much too.  As it relates to Beenie I honestly believe that Beenie have an ace up his sleeve.  He has too because our players aren't as good as our opposition. simple:  I feel Beenie's Ace is a feller called Cornel Glen. I feel he resting Glen on purpose to make him hungry and to surprise England because Rio can't run with Glen.  Since we don't have the players maybe we should have a plan.  What if nuttin ain't wrong with Dog knee or Cornel?  Would we be the first team to use the media to through teams off?  I'll beat that against Czech Beenie ent do nuttin special.  T&T team done pic fellas all this is mind games and exercise.  I feel so.

Hey, most times i does just read and doh post...buh i have to agree with preacher .... look how Beenie rile up England saying how they is under acheivers etc...and now he have our players playing out of position and dis-organised.....maybe/ hopefully he just trying to fake them out...i know the commentator yesterday done get "fool" about we already.

I find Stern does throw way tooo much goals... i know he score most for us in the past, but he really needs to put away the few chances we may get against big sides like England Sweden etc.

Wha allyuh think about Carlos Edwards playing a more attacking role instead of the wing...? - taking on defenders with skill and speed and then shooting? He ever play a role like that b4?

Football / Re: ROONEY!!!
« on: January 24, 2006, 07:46:19 AM »
Look I is h Trini as much as any man here but ah eh stupid. I think that many of us getting a lil carried away by the euphoria of the moment. I would want nothing better than a Trini victory but c'mon man, men here saying that Dog and Andrews go hold down Rooney. I would like nothing better and maybe it could happen on the day of question, but our defenders have a great deal of problems handling de lil shit men in Concacaf, and we saying these same men go handle Rooney...

Despite the improvements by Beenie, who here remember David Suazo, Donovan, etc.. and none ah dem ent even have half the skill that Shrek have in one flickin boots. Like we forget de numerous debates we've had on dis site talking about Dog and Tallman's lack of mobility and their difficulties dealing with strikers with a lower center of gravity...

But ah guess we go wait and see...

i agree with yuh dey boss.... apart from speed....Rooney done play and score in big tournaments already...so he eh go be as nervous as we defenders.....evenself i hope they hit him real hard jam.... and use some brains when defending  8)

Football / Re: Soca Warriors gun amnesty plan
« on: January 17, 2006, 11:41:00 AM »
1. Guns and jail in my opinion is ranks to those fellas...so I dont think they would take a chance to trade in their guns knowing that their rivals may not do the same.
2. Whilst swift justice might help the situation.....Im sure some of them will come back out and boast that they was in jail and therefore have more ranks.

I think the way to deal with crime is to have the police force cleaned up by auditing the officers and having a system where a serparate body of ppl investigate the poilce for bribes, corruption etc...- like the internal affairs division that operates in the states.
Then the police service should be "sold" to the public as career choices meaning good salaries, perks etc. so that ppl would want to become policemen there fore allowing the police force to grow. Then swifter justice system with stiffer penalties....so jail should be a place where it is sooooo teribble...men wont want to go in there.
Also i think that ppl should really stop and take a look at the ppl they vote into power....this party loyalty thing is crap..cuase those politicians dont really care about us.. People real naive out here. Shorter terms for the constituency representitives, ministers etc........so they have to work or else get vote out quickly....Come on..which politician does goto the general hosipital when they get sick????????? or go through the process of having to call the police and get the message that they dont have a vehicle.?

Football / Re: Nakhid's Warriors Pledge
« on: January 13, 2006, 12:45:20 PM »
Yes plenty ppl does die each year there, but we all plan our activities daily, just like the ppl in Hajj who died......but muslims & ppl always have to remember that God does plan tooo and sometimes we may not understand it...but his plan is the one that counts. So while muslims all over the world "feel" for the families of the ppl that died - Allah is the best of planners and we all believe that. Also we pray that everyone who made the pilgrimage have their Hajj accept by Allah.....because the reward of an accept Hajj is forgivness and Heaven.

In terms of Nakhid and his reason for Hajj...Allah knows his intention ...and we all sometimes find our self in a bad situation where we might pray and say " God if u bring me out of this i go never do 'so and so' again" so its like a pledge to God u making there. If u go back and do what u said u wouldnt do ..then u breaking u pledge with God. So in Nakhid's case, if he pray and say he go make Hajj if we qualify...then he have to honour it.....buh the thing is....it all goes back to intentions....it come like he didnt make the pilgriamge on his own...he may have done it cause we win ...- if yuh understand where i coming from....so then he might have to go for Hajj again with the intention of fulfilling his faith and not an oath.  If he had made the pilgriamge b4 and now he going back to honor his oath...then no problem.

I not preaching eh...jus some info  ;D
Peace brothers.
