D plot continues
A plot by who?do you think a certain association should shed some light on this since it's players we talking about?

jeez boy Coop's you on FPATT case like TrueTrini on Wim.
I would like to know how you think the union should comment on why a grown man, who is a professional athlete did not turn up for a game.
jus now yuh go want them to comment on why some players cyah trap and pass at this level.

I type this rant based on the assumption that the 'association' you refer to is FPATT.

« on: March 25, 2008, 01:18:20 PM »
This situation has become very interesting,i'm going to support the TTFF on this issue because clubs have been taking advantage of them over the years and denying us of our players when ever we need them, the TTFF is within their rights to have the players just like clubs have their rights to not release them outside of the international window,if we ask RK to release them outside of that international window he would act the same way,it's time the TTFF have some balls, weather players fit,not fit, club paying salary, club fighting relegation, what ever the situation if TTFF say they want them we want them let them go.

I can't understand some people, one minute Sunderland is their employers,we does employ them too, they just got a big check and give it to charity, everybody feel they can do TTFF what they want and when they stand up they wrong,i'm supporting this on a matter of principle,it didn't have to reach to this is time people respect us.

All I'm saying is that unlike Warner, Camps and Maturana, Keane played for one of the biggest clubs in the world and one of the smallest nations. He knows how easy it is to work together. I'm sure his contempt is not for the players or people of T&T but for the amateurs in charge. As he would describe them, "The prawn sandwich brigade"

I think you giving Keane alot of credit, and based on this scenario he doesnt deserve it.  why he didnt show the 'amateurs' how to be professional and respect the FIFA laws and send the players instead of faking injuries.  Come on a groin strain that he refuses to have a 3rd party verify...stueeps.
Two wrongs dont make a right.
I dont think the TTFF needed to call these guys, I kinda wished they didnt.  But its a FIFA date and they did, doh matter if SocaWarriors was playing John D 1st eleven they were within their rights.  Instead of all them quotes in the papers he coulda pick up the phone and maybe called Jack or Maturana and work something out.

I still don't see the problem in the whole scenario....maybe I'm blind.
3. TTFF probably doesn't have the best of liquidity positions, which is normal for many non-profit federations probably resulting from a timing mismatch from funds flowing in, & flowing out....or a result of budgets, & covenants that dictate the use of certain liquid assets, so they ask the regional federation made payment on their behalf- wha wrong with that?
Kicker,
if the money was to come for all the WC money from 2006, why then to the need to ask the regional Fed to make the payment on their behalf? it should have been just sitting and waiting to be disbursed.
Why are they haing money problems if part of the reason for the players getting such a small payout, was because a percentage was withheld for the 2010 push, where is that money?
so Kicker could I ask where you think all that $173 Million gone?

That has nothing to do with this present issue...it's two completely different set of monies in case you haven't been following along.

well i must be having it wrong.
$173 million is the figure assumed to be the total collected by the TTFF for WC2006
from this the whole WC experience was paid for.
from this the players were to get a % to be divided up for their bonuses
1 equal share was to be set aside for donation to charity.

so by my thinking the charity money was to come from the WC2006 money, we all agree there is serious concerns about how the WC2006 money was spent and where it gone.

how then is this issue of the charity money being paid out of a Concacaf or CONCACAF account unrelated.

we should jus be happy that Jack pay some money and not question it? not me.

ohh horrr i get it!!
with the arbitration case coming up soon, TTFF released the money as orignally agreed to almost 2 years ago.
So now that is one less point the players can argue to the arbitrator.

I would like to know know why we are not hearing from FPATT on this, people just speculating as to what's going on,

Coops I think FPATT has decided to refrain from posting on the forum, as some of the comments were being seen as 'confrontational' and its best for them to proceed in a more businesslike manner.

if they deducted the money from the WC money and never made a donation to any charity, why is the money being paid back from future money?
it should be sitting in the TTFF account untouched, not a CONCACAF or Concacaf account.

this is real shady business, watch when come times to pay this current team some money this payout will be deducted.

To organize d under 17 WC in 2001 Jw opened a company named CONCACAF. So is dem who pay d money.

why is our world cup money in an account of one of JW's companies?
if its not the WC money, why all of a sudden JW so generous?
why was this not paid from the TTFF account?
it all seems shady to me.

Miramar man dies in fatal crash in Davie
By Macollvie Jean-François (Sun-Sentinel.com)

A 27-year-old Miramar man died in a car crash so severe investigators had trouble identifying the type of vehicle at first, a Davie spokesman said Sunday.

The collision that killed Jason Nelson happened in the 4300 block of Southwest 47th Avenue about 9 p.m. Saturday, spokesman Lt. Wayne Boulier said Sunday. When officers arrived, they found Nelson's gold 1994 Lexus broken into numerous pieces. The Lexus had apparently struck a tree.

Nelson was pronounced dead at the scene.

Boulier said investigators did not yet know which direction Nelson was traveling when he lost control and struck the tree. He was the Lexus' sole occupant. No other vehicles were involved.

Boulier added that investigators could not verify whether drag racing led to the crash.

Anyone with information on this crash is asked to call the Davie Police Department at 954-693-8200.

Five Cuban soccer players missing in Tampa
Associated Press

Updated: March 12, 2008, 8:11 PM EST

Five Cuban soccer players went missing Tuesday night after the under-23 team played a key match against the United States, a team official said Wednesday.

The missing men had not yet reported to authorities.

Zachary Mann, a spokesman for Customs and Border Protection, said it's unlikely the agency will learn the men's whereabouts until they come forward.

Under the United States' "wet foot, dry foot" policy, Cubans who reach U.S. soil are allowed to remain in the country and apply for U.S. residency after one year.

The Cuban team is in Tampa to play in qualifying games for the Beijing Olympics this August, sponsored by the Confederation of North, Central American and Caribbean Association Football, or CONCACAF.

A CONCACAF spokesman declined comment, saying only that the situation is under review.

The five men, including a goalie and team captain who helped Cuba tie the United States 1-1 Tuesday, are expected to be in Miami by this weekend, said Marcos Ommati, a spokesman with professional soccer team Miami FC.

He said he had not spoken with the players and did not know their whereabouts, but said he had spoken with someone who told him to expect the players.

CONCACAF and team officials did not identify the five missing players. But looking at players' jerseys Wednesday's practice revealed those who were absent: Jose Manuel Miranda, 21; Erlys Garcia Baro, Yenier Bermudez, Yordany Alvarez and Loanni Prieto, all listed as 22-year-olds.

Tampa police spokeswoman Andrea Davis said the agency had not received any missing persons reports from the team, and officers were not called to the team's hotel to investigate the disappearances.

A Cuban team leader would not discuss details and said he was most concerned about Thursday's match against Honduras.

"Tomorrow we have a very important game ... and we are concentrating on that," said Luis Hernandez, president of the Soccer Association of Cuba and the only team official to address the media.

When asked what the team planned to do without the players, Hernandez said, "Win - with the five, without the five - win."

WHat kinda money men pulling down in League 1 and Championship?

if the money is similar, especially the leage one money home might not be such a bad idea, but i would give MLS and A-League a try first, seasons aint start yet.
