He hasn't been with a club consistently since 2015 and hasn't been with a club since 2020. Might as well retire from football altogether.

Dumb move at such a young age. Should have come along when he was a little more established and had more power. Those clubs hate when an english born player choose to play for another country as they see it as lowering their value. Especially if that country isn't highly rated.
Hope he isn't victimised for this decision.
It's the player's prerogative - I could only surmise as to the politics of playing or even getting an opportunity to represent England .As someone else mentioned, there have been overtures to well established foreign players who were deemed as greater possibility to represent a foreign country, yet they held out form the TnT invite and still were not given an opportunity it's to represent the country of birth.
I don't believe that those who saw an opportunity and took the chance to represent TnT were ever " victimized" - that is speculative and unwarranted.
I could see potentially one backlash if a player turned down an invite to play for his country of birth and chose TnT instead - however I don't know of any such situation where that may have occurred.
Kudos to the young man for contributing to his ancestral homeland.

yup very true
Maybe true. Football is about making decisions. Damn if you do, damn if you don't. Is he ever going to make England ? Was Birchall ever victimised for his decision to play for TT. We have asked some foreign born to play for us in the past, and the very good ones have always held out. So I pray that this guy shines in all his games and bring up his financial value. Forward youth man. God Bless.
@congo
You stated:Quote"Firing DL at this point shouldn't even be the priority."
Statement 1:
It isn't sufficient, but it's necessary.
or
Statement 2:
It's neither sufficient nor necessary.
Which of the statements do you agree with?
This has to be TT biggest defeat in a long time I remember TT getting 7 in Mexico city in 2000 but that was TT B team this is more like our A team there is no way DL should be allowed to coach this team after this.
The man has zero claim to a job in England.
He tries to make it a race issue but the problem with that is that HE is a foreign national.
He isn't British/English.
Lampard/Gerrard etc may be curry favour but also remember they are both club and country "legends".
Does anyone in the UK take Dwight seriously? Football is a business and managers are in control of multi million pound assets. Would Dwight's personal affairs affect the brand of the football club etc.
It may be a race issue for black british footballers but it may not be an issue for Dwight. It may just be a case of Dwight being a non EU national from a country with significantly less football capital.
The man has choices like people rightfully said. He can start here in TnT or even try the lower leagues in England. I do recall him saying he rejected an offer from the lower leagues a couple years ago but I could be wrong. He can also try the far east and asia etc.
He seems to want to hold on to Man U as much as possible but growth and opportunities may require migration.
According to the Home Office, what's Dwight's status?
I'm not convinced that Dwight is being punished or suffering the consequences of Katie Price - certainly not exclusively. It also has not impeded the media from having him play a role on match day pre-match and post-match. After John Terry becomes a manager lehwe talk. Giggs also had salacious coverage that directly concerned his conduct and he is along the way.
congo, isn't your position regarding Dwight and branding undermined by the reality that he essentially serves as a brand ambassador of several entities, including Manchester United?
A kid is in high school from 11 to 16, during that time he might (or may not) play with a club in the non-school season.
Pray tell, when will one expect him to develop and improve. Sure there is further and much more to be done after, provided he can afford to stick with football. Not many can afford such a privilege, even in TT where many Nationals feel , if one wants it, yuh just go and get it. However in the real world ..after high school, yuh better start getting yuh vehicle to yuh life in gear and stop playing period. If football is yuh vehicle, on average, yuh can’t be now learning and developing at 20.
Add: my point being, developing should occur during yuh school years, that’s what school supposed to be for, anything else although fun and glorious, may not be correct. You try to keep learning all yuh life.
Just my opinion
congo, if not "develop", how about "improve"?
Brother if you feel our players are shithounds then why even bother commenting or watching our football?
TT should be a fete team, there’s no need for any passionate discussion bc you’re wasting your breath on shithounds, watch epl la liga you will get your moneys worth
I have a positive attitude and I believe in our players and people, and I have seen talent above other nations in concacaf with my own eyes..l
I have had cousins who have played at Holland national level and in Europe for Ajax etc, uncles who have traveled to almost every World Cup...
All of them are non Trinis but have seen and followed our team, all have said Trinidad has the talent to be in the top 3 every campaign
I have seen it for myself... and we all agreed, coaching, training and the admin are to blame... our dictator for a prez and politics that keep our team back...
So brother you can believe what you want to believe and I’ll stick to my beliefs .... bc I know how talented we really are
Madness! USL players are professionals plying their trade in a professional environment
Realistically USL is probably at the same level as pro league in terms of quality? So they may be seeing it as a like for like switch for a local goalkeeper.
You really think so? And we have some much players playing there who does get pick?
Shouldn't the Super league always have a developmental National Team in it...Be it the under 20 or under 17 team just to keep that age group active and match ready. Super League shouldn't interfere with any scholarship opportunities or is viewed as a Pro League?
The onus is on the TTFA. If dey want that to be part of the program for the national youth teams then dey need to come up with a proposal.
There are players who played in the early part of the season and have gone on to take up scholarships. There are also some who have played for teams while they are on holidays.
