I'll never understand the FIFA ranking. How could Zimbabwe be ranked higher than Australia?

Apparently he got a head knock in a challenge. Not sure how serious it is, as it may have been a pre-caution.

Football / Re: FIFA law blocks Samuel from playing for T&T.

Why some people disappointed? We got this far without Samuel, didnt we. Anyway, if we need Samuel to beat Bahrain over 2 games, then our football is a joke.

I will defininately be at the Famous Three Kings in Fulham for both legs!! Will try and get a possee together.

Leh we go Warriors!

548
Samuel was ball watching alot in my opinion, in the first half. He is either not fully fit or tense. I have seen him play better than this.

549
Football / Draw your own conclusions: See Samuel in action later today

Aston Villa take on Man City tonight (8.00PM GMT) and Samuel is expected to start. I'm sure this match will be worldwide, so you could decide if Samuel is a bound-to-must in the warriors starting lining up.

550
Has Man U won anything since Yorke was kicked out? ;D

Whayuhsay, this is the biggest football match for T&T in 16 years and yuh want people to "HUSH dey damn mout". You must be nuts! Get over yuh '89 tabanca and move on! The crap that went down in '89 aint go happen again (eg, the Strike Squad travelled from Point  before the game and was being mobbed by fans!). Anyway, it doesnt matter who the opposition is, I am always confident, because that's what being a fan is all about.

« on: October 27, 2005, 06:30:29 AM »
Agreed. With all those names, I think Aurtis Otis Seaton Whitley should do like the Brazilians and adopt a football nickname that would be easy to say, eg, Pele, Zico, Bebeto and Dunga. How about Paccino! ;D

Football / Bahrain playing Panama in a warm up too!
« on: October 24, 2005, 12:26:27 PM »
Taken from the fifa.com site.

The Panamanian Football Federation (FePaFut) has confirmed that Colombian coach Jose Hernandez will take charge of the upcoming friendly against Bahrain, despite being sacked after the FIFA World Cup™ qualifiers.
Hernandez's contract was terminated by FePaFut, who said the team was not competitive enough during their campaign. Bahrain, having made it to a Germany 2006 qualifying play-off against Trinidad and Tobago, have organised this friendly in preparation, and so Hernandez has been asked to return while they seek a long-term replacement.

Under Hernandez, Panama made it into the final stage of CONCACAF qualifying for the first time ever, but then they ended that phase winless, with eight defeats from ten games.

Hernandez also guided the Central American nation to the final of the CONCACAF Gold Cup for the first time in their history, where they lost to the United States on penalties.

I have seen Carlos play 4 times last year, twice for his old club Wrexham and twice for T&T.

564
Breds, we organising a lime for central London. Soca randy doing some research. Keep looking on de site exact details. Yuh could esily get a train from Kent to central London.

565
Football / We need a midfielder who can cross and take corners!
« on: October 24, 2005, 07:11:28 AM »
Carlos crossing improving! Extract report from Saturday's game

Howard combined well with Edwards down the right and from the Trinidad & Tobago international's deep cross Feeney rose to head powerfully into the far corner from 12 yards for his fifth of the season.

When I saw him last year, this was a weak area of his game. More of this against Bahrain and we good to go.

BTW, Carlos will be up against Ince this weekend, so should be interesting.

566
OK, I'll look for a right back, and Yokie might have to get bench. :rotfl:
