Football / Re: Maturana backs Trinidad & Tobago resurgence
« on: September 15, 2014, 08:06:20 PM »
Kind of misleading. He is not backing us to do well. He is hoping we do well. They always say since things.

I saw Rolando post a picture with Kaylor Navas and got depressed. Feel like the gap is getting wider and wider and we're not even playing friendlies. Unless we have some magic dust to produce a top side then we will have a very hard time taking points from any of that 3. When we qualified we got some points from Mexico at least.

What about Lester Peltier, Jlloyd Samuel, Kevin Molino, Keon Daniel, Radanfah Abu Bakr, Robert Primus, Shahdon Winchester, Cornell Glen and Aubrey David.

They playing in de top league in the country they play in.

Daniel was on 14 rated as 63, rare bronze. for Philadelphia Union. Is he still at Union?

The others aren't on 14 either.

LOL. 33. He walking. How could a striker have 33 pace.

Everyone except Scotland and Edwards fell in overall ratings. And Daniel fell off the game all together.

Surprised Cato fell in ratings.

LOL. That's embarrassing. I see move to Chivas USA in the cards.

But seriously though. I watch a lot of MLS and the only Trinidadian I ever see is Cato. The rest aren't even being selected.

66
OH No, I wish he had joined. I love The Sounders. I even picked them as the team I support on FIFA 14. lol. If a Trini went back there (wasn't following MLS when Cato was there) I might explode from an overdose of affection. It's like supporting West Indies, you think they can do it, but they never do.
I'll have to get behind Orlando City next year. Not sure I will though. I watch San Jose because MLS games are easy as pie to get online but I don't fret if I miss Cato play.

Qatar is Building a Whole New City From Scratch for the 2022 World Cup!
By Leah Ginsberg

Qatar 2022! Not excited that the Middle Eastern country is hosting the World Cup in eight years (scorching hot temperatures and humans rights violations bother you)? Well it’s about to get even more interesting: Rather than just build some new stadiums like most host countries, the filthy rich State of Qatar is spending $45 billion to build a whole new city from scratch.

Lusail will cover 28 square miles on the desert coast along the Persian Gulf approximately 9 miles from Doha, the country’s largest city.

A bird’s eye view of what the city of Lusail in Qatar will look like. (Photo: Lusail.com)

The whole city was planned like a five-star hotel. (Photo: Lusail.com)

Well I hope they enjoy their city. They can also get slaves to fill the empty seats in the stadiums. I can't see rowdy football fans spending their money to go there and look at all the pretty buildings and not have a good time.

Finally Good(-ish) news. Realistically though, if he has the slightest chance at a Snr Team call up he will go with England. If we make it to the hex and we have a few winnable games to play to get the 4th spot and play New Zealand, I can see him coming with us.

So no games for the National Senior Team. I would just like the point out that USA already has 3 friendlies planned for September and October.  :(

Do they have Facebook,  Twitter and tumblr? I'm looking for work experience in communications and public relations ,  wont mind running their social network sites.

Well I won't bash it because before the challenge came about no one was talking about ALS and no one was donating money to ALS research and treatment. If someone told me that if I dumb some ice-water on my head I could encourage people to donate millions to a charity of my choosing I'll do it.

Ah glad for we boy, but that was what pinpoint accuracy cross?

That look like a f00cking lame and lucky cross.

It was a bit lucky but watching the whole game, he played well and brought his team back.

Yeah I watch the whole game because I follow Sounders. San Jose were struggling on the right side and couldn't deal with Yedlin's pace. When Cato came on he was able to match him. He did a good run there and the one mistake Yedlin made all night( In an otherwise perfect game) cost Sounders the win. I think Cato is happy to get one-up on a Tottenham-bound player so he singled him out. But really who the heck left Wando unmarked in the box. Just as much Marshall's fault as it was Yedlin's.

My loyalties are so split here. :frustrated:

But good job on Cato's part. Hope they start him and give him more playing time.

Just watched Earthquakes vs. Sounders. They brought Cato on to handle the pace from Yedlin. He set up a goal for Wando and looked dangerous whole time he was on.

Football / Re: Thread for the T&T vs Guadeloupe Game (6-Sept-2014)

Does Guadeloupe have a Fifa ranking. I mean,  isn't it part of France. They can't qualify for a world cup, can they.  I just thought we should play someone who would help our ranking situation. Also,  any particular reason they want to make it more difficult for most of the fans to go the game.  To me,  if they want to hold a game on Tobago having an unranked team is a bad idea,  what's the motivation for people to leave Trinidad to go Tobago to go and watch this game. Is the thinking that since its so rear to have a game in Tobago tobagonians will just show up. I hope they are right. To me if they want to have a game on Tobago it should be a decent team,  a team that won't fill HCS but will attract a lot of people.  A team likeGuatemala

I don't care who gets the job as long as we get the team going again. I have gotten to point of seriously supporting USMNT. I am following them to twitter, watching the MLS, getting excited about their transfer possibilities  :'( This is only happening because I feel like we don't have a team. Where are our friendlies. Why aren't we trying to improve our ranking to deal with the work permit situation. Our guys aren't getting national team minutes. Even if we have to play Haiti, can we please just play someone.

So my answer is, don't care who does it, just get stuff done.

Sacramento? That will be four teams based in California. Unless they movie Chivas to there. Heard them talking about Las Vegas and Atlanta. Atlanta would be a good place for a Trinidadian to fit nicely into the team and adjust easily. So many Trinis there. If I young player in Trinidad right now I would be trying to get a link up with NYCFC with their direct link to MCFC, that's a route to England. All we have to do is improve our rankings.

When Orlando enter the MLS, are we sure they taking their players, or will the recruit players that are MLS level.

How many of our guys play in the MLS,  how hard is it to get on a team there and why aren't more playing.  mls is improving.  Why are our guys going Asia when USA is closer and the football is better.

I love Shaka's accent. It has like a English flow but Trini pronunciation. Unique.

That gap is only in the rankings. In real life we could beat them. We could a few teams that went to the World Cup too.
