Clubs should focus/consider  on player development as a way to earn revenue .. What happen to  W connection BTW ? .The number of clubs should also be reduce to 10 teams

The clubs barely have extra money. At least most clubs eking out an existence. The barely making it. W Connection which was a flagship team of the past will probably no longer exist in the future. They and Jabloteh took a respite for a year. Only Jabloteh came back. I spoke to a member of Jabloteh who said they had signed up with a sponsor for 600,000.TT deal. The deal fell thru close to the beginning of the season. If the gov't pull the grant, that is it for TT football. Back to amateur football.

Happy NEW YEAR to the Faithful Remnants of this once Vibrant chat group. There is truth to the saying, winning counts. We eh winning anything at any age group, so there is no interest anymore. Blessings to All The Soca Warriors and their Families.

Let's pray and hope that the SOE bring a sense of Sanity and Normalcy to Afro Trini population who are on a self destructive path to paradise or hell.

This is has to be on the head of the principal of Benedict's. The irony is that in 1966, Benedict's were deducted points for using overage players(Archibald and DeLeon) were the main culprits. And ironically Fatima were given the championship instead. Is dejavu all over again. Almost 60 years later and they get punished again.

what can we say. We don't know the dynamics of the mother-biological father-son relationship. Reminded me a bit of Deleon and son  issue. If his dad was Bangladeshi, he probably be playing cricket. We really would not know. Good luck to him. I hope he win a couple of games for the Bengal Tigers.

I don't understand these coaches confusion. If this is the case, no college coach should be coach any of the national youth teams.

Apparently, his dad was not around. But I think that is a good move on his part. He grew up in a Bangladeshi environment thru his mother and stepfather.

Leicester City midfielder Hamza Choudhury's switch of international allegiance to Bangladesh has been approved by Fifa.

The Foxes academy graduate, who was born in Loughborough and made seven appearances for England Under-21s, qualifies for Bangladesh through his ancestry.

The 27-year-old will become the first Premier League player to represent the Bengal Tigers, who are ranked 185th in Fifa's world rankings.

"We are pleased to inform that Hamza Dewan Choudhury has been cleared to play for Bangladesh," said the Bangladesh Football Federation.

"This decision was made by the Player's Status Chamber of the Football Tribunal of Fifa."

Choudhury has made 89 league appearances since his senior Foxes debut in 2017 and was part of the side which won the club's maiden FA Cup in 2021.

He is the only British Asian currently playing in the Premier League - midfielder Arjan Raikhy is also contracted to the Foxes but yet to make his top-flight debut.

Choudhury added: "I'm so happy everything is over the line and I can't wait to be playing for Bangladesh."

By the way, his father is Grenadian.

I saw the video. I was impressed. Mainly, because he probably was telling them not to do the things he used to do. Learn from his and Latas mistakes. They have experiences in that kind of behaviour. But honestly I wish the best. If he gets the money and decent practice oppositions, I think we have a fighting chance.

You mean to say business and government cyah come up with that money?

This is something we have to do if we want qualification. That is beat these teams who have beat us and will be gunning for qualification:

- Costa Rica
- Jamaica
- Panama
- Honduras
- Haiti
- Suriname
- Curacao

We have never beaten JA and Costa in WC play

We have to beat those teams to qualify.

For a country that boast about the high GDP in the Caribbean, why can some of that money go to assist in sports development. We cyah even pay we players???

Developing youths is the most important thing. We have been failing badly for a longtime now.

Frico, like Fyzo, I don't think Levi has ever had an attitude problem with TTFA. Frustrated !!!!! I will surely bet on that. Like Fyzo said, his injuries have complicated things with respect to him being  fully fit for national duty at critical times. And as You pointed  out that Levi absence can open the door for a yound and "hungry" player. I want a fit Levi when WC qualifiers come around.

The TT clubs are weak. They don't have money to the things like "real" professional  teams. Tell me I am wrong.
