Good Morning,
Good luck to Jabloteh and Connection. I hope they play in the final.  And if I want to use French phrase to spur on my teams!!!. Who cares!! Big deal. I can use anything I want. Droit au but is the logo for one of the French team.I think it is Olympic Marseille logo. The literal translation is right to the goal, but I think it could also mean straight to goal.

Sometimes you have to stand for a cause(If you truly believe in it). I know these guys are right. They would not make claims against TFA if they were not promised the bonus. When Jack saw what Patrick gave them, he felt that he was not obligated to give them the bonus again. That is the way Jack moves. He has be moving like this since the 70's. Ask them guys who played for Pro-Pioneer. Talk to Selby Brown.  What if Patrick did not give  the Warriors that money. What would Jack have done.

Whatever decision the guys make, I with them. WE should support their decision, because We know what they up against.

Good Morning,
That lineup is possible, but that depends on who we playing. Against St. Lucia, St. Vincent, Grenada etc.OK.  Against US, Mex, etc NO WAY. A couple WC ago we played the US in VA. That was the exact lineup. Except the Hardest.  We get 2. The ball was moving lateral  all the time. None of them created any serious challenge to the US defence. The US defence marked out Yorke. Eve got hurt and Dwarika got sub. I must admit though, I would have like to see Dwarika on the WC squad in Germany. Dwarika is the kind of player that has skill and intuition that coaches can't really teach you. You learned that playing small goal, street football or playing  in the Dry River(when it was clean and no vagrants).

Did NE stars withdraw from the competition on the last minutes last year. Thus giving the other clubs a free passage to the final.

Club Espana was a semipro team from DC/MD/VA. The were quite good. They won the US Open cup. Bain and Nakid were with them. So was Simmonds. Bain did coach the for while. Then they changed to the Diplomants to play in the ASL. They even play Chivas in a Concacaf game.

Jabloteh was right, given the nature of the tournament. I am not a big fan of Fenwick, but Jack and them moved obzockie by not finishing the club tournament on time and restarting it right after the Digicel cup. Man, have a conscience. This is not the Gold Cup, Olimpics or WC. The clubs pay their salaries. That is their livilyhood. In anycase, there was silver lining in all of this commesse. The unproven got the opportunity to show their skills. By and large they displayed well and above expectation. They did not win the Bragging Rights Cup. So what. The object was to gain experience. Let's hope that was achieved.

Beehaaker coached club America in Mexico. I can't remember the years. But I saw a lot of those games on the Mexican channel. Univision. The team had  Kalusha from Zambia in midfield and Oman Biyik  from Cameroon as striker. Biyik and the team scored plenty goals. That was the same time they introduced the rule where goalies could not handle the ball from a backpass. Biyik use steal a lot balls from hesitant defenders. They use to play an open attacking and attractive brand of football. But they never won the league under Beenie( I could be corrected on that). They got knocked in the final one year and the semi's the other.

The Mexican league is not a bad league. It is the best organied league is this hemisphere(including Brazil and Argentina). IT is a tough place to play. The fields are wide and very good playing surfaces. A lot of prime time games are played at midday. Hot sun, high altitude. Most lowland teams ketch their nennen playing up there.

Good Morning Guys,
My first year in QRC was 68. The CFL had real good plays. Bain, Henderson, Mathews, rolf Clarke, Sheldon Gomes, Steven Gomez, Husbands, st. Hill, Garcia,  Brewster, Hackett, Texeira, Cooper, Clibert Lennard. 70-71. Peter 'Skippy" Mitchell(the best CFL player), La Forest(Len and Ron), Spann, Sutherland, Leiba, Neil Williams, Frankie Stone, Danny Williams, Cazimir Wright, Wayne Smith, "Wildman Ford, Mervyn Sirju(what ever happened to him), Gregory Martinez, Alvin Rostant, Nancoo, Barrow. 72-73/74: Tom Philips, Mike Grayson, Denis Cuthbert, Kenny Ramdoo, Lenny Afonso, Winty Hacket, Kendal Walkes(Progressive), Chinapoo, Robert Francis, Gerard Homer, Lakhan, Big Bird Brown(Belmont), Roberts(Fatima).

There may be some who I can't remember right now. Guys forgive me. The best of my time, I think was Peter Mitchell.  How do I describe this guy? He was mercurial if there is such a word to describe a person. Skill for days. he is Latas and Jemmot rolled in one. You see them behind the foot pass Ronaldo from Man U does have everybody talking about, Peter could do that with both feet. He coming down the middle, passing he foot over the ball rapidly, Technical wingers and wing backs coming down the flanks. You don't knowwhich behind the foot he doing. Fustration with T&T football, Drive, ambition did him in. The south men on this post could give more info on Skippy.

The other player I want to talk about is Ronnie Simmons. I only knew when I saw him training with the youth many carnivals ago. Then I followed his career at HU and with Espana and the Diplomats. I wish I had 1/4 quarter of this guy's skill and physical attriubutes. He was strong. He had great ball control. Could dribble when he had too. Could bring the ball with ease from 6 yds box to the next 6yds box. Could kick the blasted ball with ease. Could you imagine Ronnie on the WC squad in Germany coming down the center from center back or md field and shooting them plastic balls they have now. When football taking place in Washington and man mention Ronnie. We does just get vex.

Good Morning Guys,
This defeat is a blessing in disguise. Them guys must be real disappointed. Hopefully they will learn from their mistakes and prepare mentally and physically  for the future. Now, they should play Panama and CR to keep their momentum going. They should not stop now. Plenty practice games before the Gold Cup. This defeat will make them hungry. This tournament was the easiest they will ever have. The Gold Cup will be tough. But that is the way it should be.

The most important thing that happen this past week was the blossoming of the reserves. Like I said before, throw them in the deep they go learn to swim. They should take that team to Panama and CR to lest them some more. Get more baptism of fire. So when time for Gold and World cup, we can't say they did not get experience. It would be nice for them to tour Europe and play some middle order EU countries.  We should also play some S. Americam club teams. Some African teams. Angola, Togo, Congo, Zambia, Cape Verde. We are in no hurry to play them big boys. That time will come. They all know T&T now.

A lot of people was down on him, this and that,  and his lack of experience and he is a no name.  This man play two WC finals. He was coached by a man who changed football tactics(Rinus Michels). This man went thru the Dutch system all his life.  I am sure he is using that knowledge on the team. The verdict still out on Wim. Win, lose, draw, this is just the beginning for the new guys.

I hope the Warriors win tonight. I hope Jabloteh and JW reach the Club final. Then I hope the winner go the final of the Concacaf club final or any game against Beckham. Jabloteh would not be worry about a few 1000's just showing up at the game. They may just be a bunch of waggonist anyhow.

Maybe Wim was the man behind the scences for the Soca Warriors in Germany all along. While Beeenie was organizing, he was the man who took them thru their routine. Remember Wim played on  one of the greatest team to play a WC final and did not win. On 2 occasions. He had plenty WC experience. Cruyff, Neeskens, Hahn were getting all the limelight, he is the one who did all the dirty work. Tackling, presurizing, etc. So give credit where credit is due.

Good Evenin to Everyone, Hello Coop's,
Coop, you know you correct when you say Crime is a contributing factor to dwindling fan support for football. I knew it, but I living in denial. When I was home  and use to go see football in George 5th and PSA, crime was NEVER an issue whether or not you go to see a night game at anyone of these venus.  As a matter a fact, to any night function, be it in the Grand Stand, Basketball court, fete, cinema.  After a game or any other event, you take a lime or may take a taxi up the road. Or you and your partners or girl friends either walk up to Cipriani or round the savannah to Belmont,EDR. But not again. So sad, so sad.

Good Morning,
If you guys read some of my post, I always compllained of the invisible people and the too much blue seats in the stadiums. Could you guys imagine there was a time in TT when an Olympic qualifying game would have 15,000 -20,000 people. And against B'dos in the Oval. When Coop was playing for the national team, their games would full the oval. Some of these games were  also a mid week game. That was passion then. Somehow the last 3 generation lost the passion. I know demographics have change the POS/ East Corridor, and that there are much more distractions. But they same thing does happen in Europe, but they have not lost that passion for the game. We have to find a way to resurrect that PASSION for the game. We used to be the real ball Jumbies. Now we are waggonists.

Good Morning Everyone,
Congrats to the Warriors. They did a fine job, but they need to complete it by winning on Tue. Don't conclude that we will win this tournament. Haiti coming with full force. They need to stay focus  and everything will fall in place. Everybody was panicking about the team(cussin Jabloteh). They did not need jab players for this tournament. But for the Gold cup they will.   They rose above everybody's expectation to be in the final.  They have performed performed superbly so far. Let them finish the job. Allez Warriors. Droite au but.
