Football / Re: Thread for the T&T vs USA Game (10-Oct-2017)

give away 4 tickets to every SSFL player so they and they family could go and watch the game. That should full up the stadium.

In 4 years we will need some of them same players to be on the field.

This is where the dreams start from.

RIP

Fatima boys come answer to you call

3
America not sure to make it just last week they was in last place below trinidad.

4
A black man
we very own Jack Warner
was in charge of the Afro Caribbean teams for many years what did he do to ensure success
Some good
More spots for concacaf in the world cup
He build some stadiums throughout the afro caribbean countries.
foreign coaching courses etc

was it enough..no

and to make matters worse he spend too much time trying to fix he own business to the point where he had to run and hide when the mark buss.

when is the next time an afro caribbean will get to be a FIFA vice president again.

White people did not cause that. is we own fault

As far as Negro baseball league and Basketball integration.

The worst thing the black players did was to fight to join the league and for integration.
Because all they did was go and make the rich white owners in those leagues more rich.

There is no question that the quality of play in the negro basketball league and baseball league was far superior. Over time they would have won over the market with a better product. Such is the laws of capitalism

Where are the negro league team owners now.

If a man can afford to pay you 20 million a year to bounce a ball how much money you think he making.

White people not keeping we back.
We just waiting on white people to come and tell we how to do it.

400 years of slavery can mess with your mind, 200 years later and we still cant do basic things like implement a plan to steadily improve the quality of football in a small island of 1 million people.

Make no mistake about it out countries in Concacaf, Mexico USA Canada Panama etc have serious programs in place with professional people running it.

We still putting ads in the express every other year or so announcing screening sessions.

Just the other day the show up for a screening session in tobago and they had to cancel because the field not marked.

We just not ready.

And we not even aware of the game that is going on in the world.

I guess they aint pain it yet...lol

God Bless Weary we need divine intervention to get to russia.
Talk to the big man.

6
We beating we self dude.

Our players are not as technically skilled as they other teams

We are not as fit as the other teams

We are not as well prepared tactically as the other teams.

From top to bottom we are behind the top teams in Concacaf.

Football / Re: You're down a goal....how come no Levi Garcia?
« on: March 30, 2017, 06:02:11 PM »
I agree with the subs

If we did not have to sub hyland early Garcia might have come on.

Boatswain have to come on base on the early hype he getting from training and some good effort in the panama 10 mins.

That said he did not do well so that info will be taking in account in the next game.

With 10 mins left plaza is a better option than Garcia because at that point you need an out an out striker to try to cause problem.

Cato been doing well so he deserve he pick

It is also a tough decision if to take off Molino because he have 50% of we goals in the last 2 years.

Garcia is not really a goal scorer and his biggest problem is he playing the same position as J Jones.

All that said we need to find a position to play garcia because I think he can help the team.

This is a Steven Hart team.

Is is the same players, Dennis Has provided the freshness and confidence that hart could not provide.

Continuous improvement is required.

Hart brought up up to a decent level but we stagnated.

Teams analyzed us in the previous round and were ready for us in the first 2 games of the Hex.

Hart needed to freshen his staff and ideas and bring in a few new men to challenge.

Make no mistake the reason Kenwayne work so hard versus previous games is because of Boatswain

There is only room for one striker

Boatswain young and hungry he one good performance away from putting Jones on the Bench probably forever.

Competition is the key

This is what was needed to get the team going again.

Make no mistake this Hex will be close across the Board as one of the weakest teams in the group on paper all we need to do is stay within striking range.

had to stop listening when he said he wanted to set up the team around cornell glen.

lord help us.

Glen s a great player

but we are 10 years late.

old men get muscle injuries.

Any coach who build a national team around cornell glen at this age want a bullpistle

Trendsetter hawks is a big big team I remember when they used to get off the PTSC bus to come and play Trincity in the eddie hart football league,

Then was the good old days.

"Dada" was still the coach back in them days, he did a great job in his community

Truth be told they beat us more times than we beat them

Big up the Trend setter hawks.

Hart did a good job with the team over the years but we in a results orientated business and the latest results have not been up too par.

Hopefully he can stay around trinidad football maybe work with the U17 or u20 teams because he is still the most qualified and experienced TnT coach in the world.

on the good side more time for old talk on the website

18
Plaza not starting so I dont know why we spend so much time discussing it.

he is a decent player and has many caps

The forward subs may get 10-15 mins at most baring major injury.

« on: October 18, 2016, 03:56:27 AM »
Costa Rica have a good squad make no mistake about it.

On paper their players are better than us.
They are currently in better form
They are better prepared.
They have more experience.

Make no mistake about this we will be defending for most of the game.

The good thing is that we at home and we always see to play better at home.
Everyone will be motivated
This is a chance to go to the world cup and we in with a chance.

Hopefully we can keep it close and pull out a win.

we should give him a try on the senior team, our wing back position is very weak. by the time the world cup comes he will be 19 which is prime performing age to hit the scene.

Football / Re: National Elite Youth Development Programme
« on: October 15, 2016, 11:01:20 AM »
It is a good amount of money but lets see where it goes.

hopefully they do something zonally and expose more and more kids and not just the "elite" ones.

training one team and taking them on tour is a waste of time at U13 level

need many teams in each zone and bubble that up to a select team.

The US ODP is a good model.

at you level it is about participation not so much finding start boys.

Start boy at U 19 might have been a shithound at U13 and vice versa

Who won the game between the two it would be interested to know.

I expect to see that black kid on celtic squad in 3 years

for the barca kid may take more time
Barca is a much harder team to make.

Trinidad need to offer both sets of parents half of the revenue of the pitch lake in perpetuity to become naturalized citizens now.

Even at U17 level we dont even have anything close to these men level. lol

Football / Re: Scout out Carlos Edwards and Bleeder
« on: October 13, 2016, 04:46:25 PM »
every ball he get he boom up the field to a white shirt.

need replacement

Right and left back need composure on the ball as they are key to keeping possesion and building from the back.

Football / Re: Physical makeup of the T&T MNT
« on: October 13, 2016, 04:42:54 PM »
All top professional soccer player are athletic.

Some are athletic and skill full. (these are the world class players)

90% of the game involves running without contact with the ball.

men who cannot run are a liability on defense and cannot get into position quick enough on the counter attack where most goals are scored.

make no mistake Men like messi and fabregas are very athletic
but they are also very skillfull so people focus on those qualities

but athleticism is a prerequisite for all players.

Football / Re: Kevin Molino Thread.

Molino could not be serious about trying to go to europe if he passing up on world cup qualifying games for a year.

he will be on the team for the hex

If they looking good pull them in for Costa Rica

They could help the squad with experience.

carlos way better than primus in a left back.

if the man fit put him on.

Football / Re: T&T go down in Fort-de-France.
« on: October 12, 2016, 07:44:09 PM »
The issue is fitness, team is not fit, all games they fading in the second half.

we were pushing the game against martinique in the first half and dominating second half they got more possesion

same thing happen in the USA game.

There is no other better players, these is the best we have, only thing would be in some foreign based jump on the band wagon and that will take time to integrate.

This is the group we going with and hope they can stay within striking range of 3rd and 4th we have to battle honduras and panama tooth and nail.

Win or draw vs costa rica at home will be a good start.

costa rica is a good team it will be tough.
