Performance looks good
sky is the limit.

approach to the game has to be spot on.

Both players like Yorke and Henri started out as wingers and morphed into world class strikers.

Only through maximum effort and preparations can true potential be achieved.

Sky is the limit.

To be the best you have to beat the best.

No such thing as a hard group.

Better to lose now than to go all the way central america and then lose.

5 Teams going
we at home and we not in that bunch against caribbean opposition.
Something wrong with this picture.

Is this the level of preparation that John Williams has implemented with W connection over the years.

Based on club performance I thought this man know what he was doing and would bring some changes.

So far we have seen nothing.

Womens team gotten way worse
Mens team stayed at the same level
Youth teams in an obvious mess.

these men wasting time.

How has he been playing in the local league, i notice he was not on the team last 2 games, is he ready to go?

He is a key man for us in the Hex

between cummings, garcia and jones we have 3 boss left footing dont remember ever seeing any team local or foreign that had that must dept with the left foot.

We probably should not react too much to a 4-0 loss to the US.

Positives from the last round include

winning in Guatemala
getting points at home against the US
fighting back to maximize points vs St Vincent especially on the road.

Realistically in US and Mex on form they will be at the top of the Hex.
we need one to lose form and maybe costa rica to fall back a little

Honduras and Panama we have to fight tooth and nail.

3rd or 4th are our only realistic options.

Formula remains the same as always

try to get steal points on the road and get key wins at home.

every team is looking at Trinidad as a team to get maximum points from so every game they will be gunning for us.

We need to defend in numbers have our counter attack and set play game on.

we have a chance

which is more than we have had in a long while.

This same US team went guatemala and collect lix
they did not panic and change course.

look at the results collectively over time, every team does have bad days.

Football / Re: Fitness, Dunceness or both?
« on: September 08, 2016, 05:49:57 PM »
Hart went with an offensive group playing 4 3 3

it was worth a try to see how good these men really is.

we came up short

did not score our half chances.

Jones Jones and Garcia was basically playing forward

Molino Hyland and Boucard in the middle

wings were exposed with this formation

I liked the attacking approach in a meaning less game

expect a much more defensive stance vs Costa Rica

Cato coming in right wing garcia getting drap and jones going to orthodox left wing

the 4 3 3  morfing back to a 4 5 1

Every team will be looking at trinidad as the team to get points from

defensively we have to stay compact and hit on the break.

we showed we have a good counter attack

it is just a matter of finishing the half chances and overloading the defense and limiting the other teams chances.

Hart has show a solid defensive structure in the last 2 gold cups expect that to return in the Hex.

Football / Re: Thread for the T&T vs Guatemala Game (2-Sept-2016)
« on: August 15, 2016, 07:38:10 PM »
It will be tough for trinidad to beat guatemala 3 times in a row.

obviously their backs are against the wall so they leaving it all on the field.

it will be up to us to be conservative and approach the game smart.

counter attack when given the opportunity and be safe in the back.

This is a very tricky match and nerves will be at play.

Vincy and Usa next respectively means no room for error.

Hart needs to make sure these men have the mental aspect of the game on.
and the testicular fortitude to see it through.

This go be a tough game

time to see what we made of.

Be patient and see what guatemala come to do.

Football / Re: Thread for T&T vs China Game (03-June-2016)
« on: June 03, 2016, 04:40:31 PM »
First thing these are the only men available to go.

So it is either play with these men or dont play

second thing these men is on the team it not like these men is not even in the running.

Hart continues to bring new men through some of them work out some of them have weakness to work on.

All these me in the running to contribute in the hex so they have to play and they more they play the better.

Flying to Peru Uruguay and China and playing football is not an easy thing to do. All in a week

especially for a shit squad like Trinidad

They take the games for the money and it is good exposure

So no complaining

This is key for us since we have no copas and have 2 games to play in september that are critical to advance.

stay focused and remember what the long term goals are.

simple fix

if pro team A get players from regional team B
regional team B should get some money from the pro team

by doing this regional team will be motivated to develop more players

pro league will benefit because they will have players coming into the fold

it works everywhere else in the world.

Football / Re: I respect Stephen Hart but.......

Without K Jones or cummings
Goals was always going to be hard to come by.

and Molino missing as well.

Haiti is a problem for us because they are fast and physical and we cannot overpower them like Guatemala.

Skill wise it is a wash.

this was always going to be a hard game.

Hat trick marvin .

What a player I remember him that San Juan hatrick run like it was yesterday.

Staten Island Vipers. etc

Then back home to finish in the pro league.

A footballer to the very end.

Big time baller that.

Still playing at 40 most me walking round with big belly

Big up Marvin

47
weather, tackles and pace of the game.

why go england and get hit with cold rain when you could stay in spain and play the passing game.

Technical players like to play in technical leagues.

How many of the top players in the league play on teams besides Barca and Real?

that is the real question.

One point out of we first two games would have been par for the course.

we done have 3 with a game to spare.

We need to give a good performance vs the USA.

Then Beat Vincy Heat Home and away in March .

That will put us on 12 -9 points which will be good enough to go through (historically)

The important thing now is to play well and continue to build the squad.

The Hex is another kettle of fish
As a team we need to continue to improve if we are going to do well in the hex

50
nike or adidas or some big brand please.

Some unknown brand from the middleast.

Right about now I would be happy be Rossi.

I guess we need to find brands that willing to pay sponsorship in unconventional ways......

this is a good result for TnT

Guatemala in a must win situation
US is a big ask for tnt.

Any points in the first two games is good for us.

but if we do well as I expect us to do we in these first two games we should be in good position to get out the group.

52
in the stadium in couva and the team called central fc is that not a community based field?

I understand what he saying but I not sure if it will be a silver bullet.

53
Agreed this is the second gold cup in a row that they did well

topping the group is a great monument.

definitely have something t build on.

just glad we no longer look amature.

Good Job Hart

Football / Re: How good was Marvin Faustin?

Faustin was the best left back trinidad had since the 1980's not seen another one nearly as good as him.

Imagine Faustin compared to Williams who play left back yesterday.

apples and oranges.

MLS players play one game a week?

What about US open cup games
What about concacaf champions league
What out friendly games versus those european teams

Most of the time the players on average will play 2 games a week in MLS especailly during the summer.

Not to mention training is high intensity so it come like a game.

if you in that environment you have to be able to play at a hight level every 3-4 games without skipping a beat.

In the UK men conditioned to play at least 2 games a week when you take into account all the other tournaments involved.

Football / Re: Fitness is a Huge Problem

keep giving them excuses

How many days it is over 97 degrees in chicago and what season is the MLS games played in.

How many games did panama play in 12 days.

imagine this is where we reach when a Trinidad team losing cause Sun to hot.
back in 1989 we set up game at 2:30 just so we have hot Sun advantage

we come full circle.

Pro league have no fitness standards
British league weather too cool

Well I guess it pays to be from Panama, them men running the in rain forest whole day so they can handle the heat.

what we men doing?

Football / Re: Fitness is a Huge Problem

how is a man playing in MLS and British Championship not fit.

It have no better leagues that these.

59
Football / Re: Fitness is a Huge Problem
« on: July 20, 2015, 11:05:09 AM »
that limining thing is nonsense.

it is the automatic trini response to failure

too much party "blah blah"

distracts from the realty

which is,
As a professional footballer it is your responsibility to be fit, to take yourself personally to the next level.

Yorke used to party the most out of anyone but on the field he working.

Jovin Jones, Kenyane Jones walking on the field from minute one to minute 120 in the panama match.

These men playing for big clubs

Cryus aint play in the last game bun like a dog could not make a step in the last minutes cramping up. How must rest he need to be ready to run 90 minutes.

Peltieir come on after 60 mintutes and could not provide any work rate for 30 mins?

Yes if you big and strong and can butt a ball I will put you on my team and pay you a million pounds to come on the field and score a few goals.

But where is the personnal desire to be able to play a "running" game for 90 minutes
Where is the work ethic

Talent is the mask that does hide the deficencies.

example
Jovin Jones have talent, he can run at defenders with great speed and trickery...that is a talent.
we will play him on the team irregrdless of the fact that defensively he does not run back and is work rate is inconsistient especially defensively.

compare description above to say Hazzard or Willian for Chelsea who running back every time.
why
because of the metality and the desire for success.
because of expectation set by the coaching staff

Unless the players have that personal desire inside and the coaching staff have the balls to demand it where we really going.

You have to have the basics

Fitness
positional awareness
Shape
effort
intensity

basic things all players at this level have to have, without these dont go on the field.

the extra skills and ability means nothing without the foundation.

our team consist of too many players who missing the foundation because as a people we gravitate to the  "Talent"

K Jones was walking on the field in the Guatemala game ist half
He was walking on the field in the gold cup 2 years ago
He was walking on the field in the caribbean cup last year

the only time he did not walk on the field was in the second half of the mexico game.

so if you could run in that game why you cant run in every other game.

His ass should have been on the bench since the ist half of the ist game

But we will leave him on the field because

"His Talent" will mask our deficencies

What we need the most is Honesty.

Dont worry Kenyane you is a top scorer, you could butt real good, you is we captian, here is another multi million dollar contract.
Dont worry we not subbing you.

Football / Fitness is a Huge Problem
« on: July 20, 2015, 07:01:16 AM »
These guys are not fit.

Is one thing to talk about heat and days rest etc

but fitness is fitness.

from the start to the end we were slower and did not have the required intensity.

As Hart mention we are not playing in the same leagues as our opponents.

Nowadays men wearing heart monitors in training and computers monitoring distance travelled and average velocity.

without tools how can we know which players and which areas need fitness work.

We still asking man to run laps and hoping for the best.
