Yeh he on trial but I not sure about Holder yet. Phili released their two goalkeepers from last year and they have 2 others right now. One from first round Draft and Modragon from Colombia that they just buy.

And I rel don't think Stern is a Columbus Crew target per se.

Well said Sam, it have real haters here, we players just not good enough to play in Europe or not as yet and the MLS is a good place to start.

Either way, it better than playing in T&T for chicken feed.

Flex, your article...

The MLS is no longer a stepping stone at all. A lot of our players cah get in like that .In any case, yeh, way better than our PL

And Stan Collymore just tweeted that Charlie Adam is on his to Liverpool too. I don't really trust him though  :)

Man U tried to hijack this deal.  Sir Alex gave Adams glowing marks after last week's games.  Said he was worth 10 mil pounds.  Read that he saw him as a potential replacement for Scholes.

haha Fergie helped his boy Holloway out... even today we were linked with him and ready to make a 10 million bid...  Fergie prob pocketed a couple million quid

He is a good player but he is not our answer..  we need an attacking midfielder with mobility and a great passing range... Adam is too similar to our midfielders in Fletch, Carrick and Ando...  we need Luka Modric.. guaranteed we will bid alot of money for him this summer

All yuh could try and pry Jenas. He career in d sewers right now.

« on: January 26, 2011, 05:47:22 PM »
Ok DWN and Zando

What about Usain Bolt?

Yes he had to put in training...but I think his talent is one that is unquestionable.

No amount of deliberate practice by anyone could beat Usain...at least I dont think so in the near future. I think he is an exception to this theory.

I don't know much about bolt, but didn't Tyson Gay cut his tail a few months ago in some race in Zurich or Sweden?  I don't think its solely a matter of  talent with him. Its more ability, very slightly different from talent. In the same way that a fast sausage dog can't outrun a very slow greyhound. The sausage dog could have a greater talent for running relative to the greyhound but still coast in last because the greyhound has more ability?????

Yuh asking some tough questions boy! I have little knowledge of sprinting but maybe other people with experience could shed some light

Now mind you if Bolt is an exception to the theory then I think its still valid

You mean when he was injured?!

Suarez is ah c@nt!! and i go on record as too say, if any T&T footballer ever did something like that i would be sooooo ashamed tuh even bragg or feel good about the team's success under such an unsportsman like display.

maybe yuh might be on yuh own in this respect, BC i know i'd rather lose gracefully than win under such dubious conditions. that's why i hate latin american footballers, they'll do anything to win, and by doing so, they're continuing  to destroy the integrity of the " beautiful game"

Agree 100% with this.  :beermug:

But is those Latin Americans that make it beautiful, not so?! And yes, they do anything to win. That IS their life. They playing to win, no matter what. They have nothing else but that.
I hope by extension you not a Maradona fan, nor anyone who bashing Suarez cuz King Diego is 4times d monster dat Suarez is.

I have a question. If he good enough to get drafted, was he ever scouted by T&T management in college?

I think the man to bench will be Kuyt. Yes he is a work horse, but has not really been productive. Kenny says he is fielding the best 11 players on the field. If this is the case and Warnock comes in at LB, then GJ will move to RM.

Oh gawd nah... dai'z blasphemy.  You benching Kuyt ahead of dat shitsnake Maxi Padriguez?

What annoying me bout Maxi is that right foot of his.  It only good for balance.

LOL... tuh keep him upright yuh mean?  Yuh see he wile voop today off de right foot?  :rotfl:

-------------------------------------

fish nah man, yuh looking tuh get yuh Anfielf passport raff.  Kuyt producing in all kinda ways that stats don't necessarily capture.  He playing defensive mid, he supporting in de hole right behind Torres... he playing up front as a second striker... up and down the wings... nah!

I bias because he's my favorite Liverpool player... but nah, even objectively speaking his hustle alone does both save we and keep we in games.

I rel like d man. D man is class act and work rate second to none. He lose d ball and bet he'll run that down from one end to the next. But offensively on the wing, if they continue to play that 4-5-1, they'll need someone else that supplies better. That's all I saying. And Maxi shitting on heself, but he still producing more offensively than Kuyt. Remember one of our main problems is that offense and support up front.

nah fish yuh talking tata.....Kuyt is a way better player than Maxipad....

Kuyt is ah workhorse and iz like 2 man on d field

Buh I admit d man is a workhorse and good but he not producing. All yuh not watching d man play.

Maxi past his prime yes, and he has not been playing like before. Agreed. I rel disappointed with him but he offers more attacking than Kuyt and has better positioning. So in my eyes, he will be before Kuyt unless Jova or Aurelio catches form. Or Stevie plays left. *Providing no buys on the left obviously*

Martin Kelly is another one who's had a terrific run of games since Kenny took over.  Will be interesting to see what happens once Carra returns... because Agger has also regained his job over Hodgson favorite Konchelsky
Glen Johnson replaced Konchelsky.

Question is where will Carra play, and will Johnson be allowed to carry on in defence, cause Kelly keeping that right fullback position.  That is potentially England's future right back.  Also, with Warnock supposedly on the way back to Anfield on loan, Johnson may be relieved of the left back position and benched, and eventually sold in the summer.  He offers a lot going forward, but is not good defensively, and that is the honest truth.  He is really a midfielder posing as a right back.

I beg to differ... his spot at RB for England attests to as much.  He's had his struggles this season, but much of that could be attributed to injury and the overall poor form of the team itself.  His speed on the wings defensively makes him too much of an asset to cut loose less than 24 months after being acquired.  Plus he still is very young.  Agger is a more likely candidate to be sold if Kelly does in fact cement his spot at RB... it's only been 5 games.  As good as Carra has been for us he's not a long term solution, last season was easily his worst in a Liverpool shirt and the early season return to form to me isn't enough promise for us to be jettisoning a player like Johnson just to make room for Carragher on the field.  Kelly, Johnson and Skrtel are my keepers.

I think the man to bench will be Kuyt. Yes he is a work horse, but has not really been productive. Kenny says he is fielding the best 11 players on the field. If this is the case and Warnock comes in at LB, then GJ will move to RM.

Personally I don't think Columbus will sign him. They already gave away their best older players such as Schelotto, Hejuk and other important ones like Brian Carroll and Steven Lenhart. Stern hasn't been with a club for a lil while now and has been havin injury problems. I rel doubt.
