It's funny how that dynamic player got shot in the leg..

coache, that is some serious allegations you making dey, you. A couple inched higher ... we would be talking about Cummins is the past tense.

In military circles it's called collateral damage, the intended theoretical target being the dismantling of TT football...

Cummings getting shot was an unfortunate accident. However we shouldnt be so simple to unjustly and inaccurately try to link that incident to DJW.

I'm no fan of DJW but we better than that.

Football / Re: Cyrus sorry for penalty miss.
« on: July 21, 2015, 08:11:15 AM »
I believe Cyrus' name was next on the list to kick. they tried to change it but the ref said "list is final".

Guessing they didnt think it would go to a sudden death so there wasnt much forward thinking in terms of order.

 :beermug:

Williams is another defender that should apologize as well for missing... Had he scored we would have been in a better position prior to Cyrus

I dont think its a situation where men need to apologise.......a penalty is the hardest and yet easiest thing in football. Nerves will always play a factor...even for some of the greatest. (Baggio).

IMO the order of kicks was the problem no so much the kickers.

4-4-2 ==> 4-3-3 ==>4-5-1

I once heard a commentator say "Good Teams play 4-3-3 while bad teams play 4-5-1" with both basically being the same formation.
Just a matter how effective and disciplined the team can be

Totally disagree. That could never be a fair price and the "logic" for the price is total BS.  :flamethrower:

So what would be a 'fair price'?  When the Men's National Team hosted their qualifying leg against Bahrain the price was $300 covered stands, $150 uncovered... and that was nine years ago.  People spending $100-$200 TTD to go Movietowne but can't/unwilling to spend that to support the women?  The TTFA has its faults, but people need to stop and re-assess their attitudes too.  Even at $40 a ticket they not going to watch Pro League football.  Central just had a match where admission was free, people still eh come out.  So tell me, what would be a fair price?  And no, pointing to what Ecuador did hardly aids the conversation, their economy and the financial situation with their football much different from ours.

During the qualifiers prices were nowhere close to what they should have been for any WC Qualifier and the games where bitterly underpopulated. Its a case of "johnny come lately".....we on the verge of a possible qualification and now prices suddenly start to reflect what it should have been in the beginning?

Im not against the price for the games cause granted it is on par with a WC qualification. My issue is with the TTFA suddenly realising they have a chance to cash in on the "hot item" now and and bump up the price.........yes supply and demand....but at $60 we only had the die hards at the game....the bandwaggonist will just replace the die hards who will feel that there loyal support going through isn't now being rewarded...together with the many who just may not be able to afford it

47
That's a fair price considering Cost of Living in TnT. Lately I've been losing faith in some of Lasana's commentary and analysis. The pricing was NOT worthy of an investigation (or article) IMO

Totally disagree. That could never be a fair price and the "logic" for the price is total BS.  :flamethrower:

Disgraceful behaviour - the parents should really be stepping in here. They stay in school they'll stay children for the rest of life (I say that as a trainee maths teacher). There's a failure here, whether it's in character, in parenting, in support or in communication. We can't go on like this - the kids are shooting themselves in the foot with a smile on their face.

This is part of the reason why T&T ain't performing like it should on the NT level - how many players were just as good as Jones, Hyland, Peltier at SSFL level? How many realised that the SSFL is a drug that kills their skills while inflating their ego?

Sometimes parents may not be to blame. I spoke with a parent of 1 of the U20 footballers asking why he allowed his son to go back to the SSFL level.....citing all the arguments on this forum including a few not addressed here. He told me he was well aware of all these arguments but was in an almost helpless position.

He transferred his son to the school for academic reasons but the school insisted that should he attend he must play for the school. This was all before making the U20 NT. He then asked me how is he supposed to tell the school his son is not playing for them because he is crurently on the U20 NT when 1 of the reasons the school accepted him a few years ago was to play for them.

Rock and a hard place

Tabaquite crush Vishnu Boys 6-1
T&T Newsday Reports.

Tabaquite Secondary crushed Vishnu Boys 6-1 yesterday in the Central Zone of the Secondary Schools Football League (SSFL) Championship Division at Tabaquite.

Tabaquite showing no mercy against their rivals as they embarrassed them at their school grounds.

In other Central Zone match-ups, ASJA Boys drew 2-2 with Presentation Chaguanas. At the same time Miracle Ministry got the better of Couva East 1-0 in a battling effort at the end of regulation time.

In the East Zone, only one game was played with Five Rivers Secondary and Valencia High School playing to a 1-1 draw.

The match between Sangre Grande Secondary and El Dorado East did not kick off due to the condition of the playing field while the clash between Arima Central and Barataria South did not occur as the status of Arima remains unclear.

In the North, Diego Martin Central beat their neighbours Diego Martin North 3-2 while Trinity College and Queen’s Royal College had to settle for a share of the points in a 2-2 draw.

Tranquillity Secondary and Malick Secondary also played toa 1-1 tie.

He is resting now and should be back to full recovery!

Is Hyland the designated dead ball specialist now?
It eh seem like we have one. Different fellas taking dem every time.

He took a lot even in the GC. Haven't seen anyone else stepping up other than Daniel once

What de arse I see here

Quote
But several former national players, including Alvin Corneal, Brian Williams, Clayton Morris and Angus Eve are not sold on Beenhakker’s return. They think that in the long run, the solution is to develop local coaches to begin the 2018 World Cup process.

These fellas want to use the senior national team to develop coaches. Is a joke?

Agreed.

Ultimately i feel a local coach should be a main stay for the senior team but frankly and without apology there is no present local coach who is up to the challenge!!

We trinis hate to face the glaring fact.......We just not good enough.......players and coaches. Yes we have a few individual talents but as a team we not good enough and there isnt any coach with the requiste skill, experience and technical know how to bring the best out of the crop we have.

These guys wanna harp bout how they working for free and they've been doing a good job so far.......what good job? We made it to the GC but unconvincingly really. There isnt a single local coach who has taking it upon himself to go further his coaching education outside. There is NOT ONE LOCAL COACH who's hand can be raised to say ........I've had more training in coaching at an international level

For any job; qualification only gets you the interview......you have to be able to sell yourself ..........these guys cant even get the interview sadly enough.

Yes having the "Don" back for 2 months is a quick fix and we know this........ but these local coaches need to get off there collective asses and go back to school. The world has changed......."doing a good job" is no longer a reason to keep a job. Excellence is required.

PS. Im not condoning not being paid for the job they have done so far.........

I heard this is a big bluff.

Tim Kee and his friend Jack Warner is trying to make the public feel that Jack Warner is not close with him and the TTFF.

Unlink both Warner and Tim Kee they trying to do because a lot of people starting to see them together, so they trying to disguised their friendship.

Do not believe this guys and off course Lasana will make a meal off it. He took the bait !!!

Not a matter of taking the bait. What Jack andTim doing behind closed doors will come to light eventually..............until then the fact is that U17 team required the use of the COE and was categorically denied.

That is the news reported ....and that is the height of fackery.

59
Tobago should get more games. Why not? Plus crowds will be better

Not only Tobago. So far Ato Boldon has only hosted 1 senior international and Larry Gomes had 2. Manny has had 11.

Other than the national stadium ...Manny Ramjohn gets the best turn out in terms of spectators. It can be seen even in the PFL. Not sure if thats the reason ......but i've been to see games in all the stadia.....and manny and NS are the best supported
