When you look at this bullshit then you realize why European football gets a bad reputation for RACISM. This is the stuff that the racist chants of monkey are made of.

This ent no papi show. This was not funny at all. Disgusting!!!! Sterotypical afros--- give me  a break>>>>>

It is a shame that students have no respect for the efforts of the teachers that have "educated" them. I was under the tutelage of Ms. Heywood and at times she was a little abrasive but I have to give thank teachers like her and many others at my alma mater for molding the minds of many young men including myself.

For you to publicly voice your discontent in this manner indicates that if she gave you a hard time that you deserved it. From your actions, it appeared that you needed GUIDANCE.

Ms Heywood was a single mother whom raised her son commendably as mentioned by the previous poster. She also authored or co-authored some English text books that were used in the U.K.

It is because of teachers like these that many of us were able to succeed and now thrive in the North American and European systems.

With all due respect, I hope that one day you will be able to see how much this relates to your identity  or lack therof.

if yorke, latapy and nakhid could play in the champions league I doh see why whitley, sancho, birchall and edwards cannot do the same after sterling wc performances.

2006 World Cup - Germany / Scouting the English team
« on: June 14, 2006, 12:38:26 AM »
Defense:

John Terry and Rio Ferdinand are the mainstays of that defense but Neville and Ashley Cole could be liabilities defensively.
We need to work the flanks and pressure their wingbacks into defending instead of them overlapping  :beermug: :angel:apping.
Kenwyne Jones is the man to do this!!!!!
Midfield:

Lampard, Cole ,Gerrard and Beckham make this one of the best in the world. The midfiled matchup will determine the result of this game.
Theobald will struggle against these type of players because they are very physical and skillful. We need Whitley and Birchall to be very physical with Lampard and Gerrard. We must shut them dowm and do not allow them shots on goal.

Forwards:
This is England's achilles heel. Without a fit Owen and Rooney they are a shadow of themselves. We have to get real physical with Crouch. They are superior to us with the dead ball situation so we cannot give away too many free kicks.

In conclusion, we have to close down the passing lanes and force them to make lateral passes instead of forward. The English team appear to not be playing as a team now. Now may be the best time to play them- I personally feel that Beenhakker is a SUPERIOR coach to ERICKSON.

This thread is an indication that Trinidad as a society still has a long way to go.

"where every creed and race find an equal place" appears to be theoretical and not practical.

There were no Indian players worthy of selection and that is the bottom line. We do have some in the PFL but the only a handful of PFL players made this team. Therefore, the probability remains remote.

There have been exceptional world class players of Indian origin, most notably Aron Winter for Holland(clubs include Lazio, Inter Milan, Ajax and Spartak),

If you want to see one in this world cup look out for Vikash Dhorasoo who plays for France and Paris St Germain. He came on today against Swizterland.

If those players were in the Trini system there is no doubt they would be on the team because they are/were world class.

I was most impressed by Shaka, Brent and Cyd Gray. Cyd Gray look like a man posessed.

This defense was inpenetrable but overall I was amazed at how we handled the Swedish team. Our opponents will now not take us likely.

Great job!

THIS TEAM IS REALLY MADE OF UP WARRIORS!

This is they play the game on the pitch and not in the commentary box!

Only a select few can win it out of Carnival season. Only bamsees of the female persuasion deserve any real attention.

De male version of the award is reserved for attention seeking idiots ! ;D

This is a great post. Valuable data to show that is why they play the games. We could get in 1 draw,1 loss and 1 win.

THanks

These short term shoe contracts are customary for world cup teams. All world cup teams have different brands bidding on them.

Your post is of no significance. Yuh jus trying to big up yourself!

Dat being said you have just won the bamsee award!

This is the true gist of the argument... dem fellas want to advance their earning potential and career at the expense of OUR committed players. We should only consider Samuel and the others should F@@K off. This is downright abuse and will destrot the team chemistry. We should not be scared to play with what we have.

« on: December 16, 2005, 08:29:37 PM »
I was under impression that this was a post about trini football lingo.

Anyway here we go:

D- dummy ( leave for your teammate)

S- for small goal whick I think has affected our level of football

S- for the spanna which is the most deadliest dribble move in the game

S- for sex .. when the man put the ball though yuh legs AKA salad and nutmeg

S- Screen ( hold off your opponent while controlling the ball) Latas is the best at this.

B- for beat( dribble)

B- for bang ( a hard shot in you c*n*t)

B- banana kick

B-bicycle kick

R- raise (juggling)

P- powder puff shot

Add some more to this list.

Kona was a  speedy wicked left footed player that also was under the guidance of Jean Lillywhite at Newtown Sports Academy. He also could kick hard and low with that left foot. Both him and Rocke were legends at CIC! After the injury he slowed and was never the same.

Hypothetically if it was Mexico or Honduras who won against Bahrain for the playoff spot Uruguay would not have been  whingeing. Many of the Uruguayans I know stateside are racist. If you cant execute against a cricket playing country then you deserve to watch the games on pay per view at $50 US a game.... friggin idiots.

Crying over spilt milk. They need to concentrate on Ecuador and Paraguay and how they could bridge the gap between them. Last time I checked both these South American countries did not win any World Cups amongst them. If Uruguay cannot shift their focus they will probably never make the cup again. >:(

Congrats to Fatima! The contingent here is really strong. I will always remember the good old Fatima days! What a great gift to celebrate the 60th anniv.

The presumption here is that Errol McFarlane did a better job than Gally Cummings or they both helped Fatima get back to the top

Football / WHAT DO WE HAVE to improve on to be competitive in the WC?
« on: November 30, 2005, 12:59:02 AM »
- Set plays, corners, FREE KICKS.
- Quick restarts
- Flank and wing play with better crosses
- More high % shooting. When we shoot more we win more!
-Indecisive and shaky goalkeeping
- STILL NO LONG THROW CAPABILITY to unnerve defenses.
- We need to challenge and take on defenders in the penalty area
