Keane said in an interview just now that Edwards reminds him of another Ryan Giggs just more creative.

I saw the goal, never knew Carlos had a deadly bullet like that. Imagine if we had our full 2006 World Cup players available for the Gold Cup in June, no doubt we would be strong contenders. Edwards developed into a great player and is in ripping form since the World Cup.

He has to be the best concacaf right winger there is currently.

No doubt.

Prior to the World Cup I never see Carlos let rip so bravely before and actually score with them. Now he is becoming known for that....keep it up 'los we eh tired being in awe

You dead right mate, we expect him to shoot every time he gets in those positions, the fans love him big time at Sunderland and he seems very happy to be there. Long may that relationship contine.

Enough love for the whole Sunderland squad here as well, Cartman...good to have you around & keep posting  :beermug:

My pleasure big fella

OH MY GOD.....I have never been so nervous about a game as I was tonight, I have hardly slept all week and could not concentrate on anything at work or at home. I was totally consumed by it all.

The game tonight must have been great for the neutral fan to watch as it had so much drama. 3 penalties and end to end action with the lead changing hands 3 times.

I have to say since Roy Keane took over at Sunderland we seem to have a never say die attitude, just like Keane as a player. We have came back so many times from a goal behind this season, we just don't know how to lose.

SuperCarlos Edwards got s back into the game with his penalty award and oh what a winner the great man scored.......I was breathless

Crowd today was nearly 45,000 not bad for a championship club eh guys, I would like to add the following

On our way, were on our way
on our way to the premier
how will we get there I don't know
how will we get there I don't care
all I know is Sunderland on it's way

Goodnight  :beermug:

Keane has said that he is insulted by talk that he is using Sunderland as a stepping stone to get the United job, he will see out his contract and said that he could see himself being at Sunderland for 10 years

also, Grant Leadbitter has named Yorkie as the person who has influenced him most in football, not bad in less than a year

Future coach imo

Well, after the presentation upstairs, I told Carlos that the steelband was performing downstairs in the lounge and the majority of those who made the trip up were liming there. He immediately said he was gonna go down and check things out. Maybe he told Stern along the way.

Dunno where Dwight went, but I knew he definitely wasn't gonna do any meeting and greeting that day. When I went to meet them to go up to the Directors' ofice for the presentations, he refused to come immediately.

So Stern and Carlos took the lift with me, and we mingled for a few minutes waiting for Mr Yorke to arrive. Only then did things kick off. And he left the room immediately after. Didn't even have a drink.

I know you shouldn't judge people based on one encounter, but he did not leave a positive impression on me.

Interesting I wonder what had him so busy

No disrespect but which club do you see as a potentially bigger club than Sunderland next season if we go up. Teams like Chelsea, Man utd etc will not want Carlos as he is not good enough for them, I am happy for him to end his career at Sunderland.

Carlos looks very happy at Sunderland and after his interview after the game he seems to idolise Keano.

If we go up Carlos will be playing in front of 48,000 every week in one of the best grounds in Europe, he is adored by the Sunderland fans and also Keane will have over £30m to spend on new players.

Sunderland gets under your skin, Carlos is happy and loves the place

I wanted to go, but I had way too much work to this week to plan anything, not to mention this damn flu that won't leave me alone. Anyway, I hope that those who going to enjoy the life represent the red and black as well as Dwight, Carlos and Stern since the year start!

with the news of our players not coming I think I may just stay home and not go. Why go If they are not gonna play because of injury. I may just cut my loss from the ticket (flight ) purchase. HMMMMMMMMM. I really don't know. or I should just go visit my family.

According to local reports Carlos has trained all week and Yorke is expected to be fit for the game tomorrow, don't worry you will see your heroes  :beermug:
