If the Chinese government believes so strongly that having a single child entitles their people greater compensation then they should be the ones to pay it as it's a result of their policy in the first place.

The chemical THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) is mainly what that gets you high when you smoke or consume MJ.  It's mostly concentrated in the buds of the female plant so that's what's 'traded' not leaves.

Tallman you solve a mystery that's been troubling me for many many years now.  I had pois doux when I was small and I have been looking for it ever since but I didn't know what it was called.  It seems a lot of people are not familiar that fruit because I used to get a lot of blank stares when I described it.

My wife and I have also been arguing about which berry is called series and thanks to you...I've been proven WRONG.  I'll won't hear the end of that for a long time  ::)

So this is trini football news now ???  This forum is farce now yes  >:(

I don't recall but what Trini playing for Spurs?   ???

Wtf does that has to do with anything?  How many trinis played for Liverpool, Arsenal or Chelsea?  I've never posted any Spurs related news here nor started a 'Spurs forever' thread.  There are plenty of sites I can go to to discuss spurs related news I don't need (nor desire) do that here.

Next time reply with something that makes some sense.

It has to do with the fact you have the f*ckin nerve to complain about "non Trini football news " being posted on this forum, yet you have contributed to discussions on this forum that pertains to things that are "non Trini football news". Including discussions involving Spurs. So before you complain think abot how you have contributed to what you are complaining about.

That's a fair point, I'll take my spurs talk elsewhere from now on.

General Discussion / Re: Pirates kill hostages
« on: February 23, 2011, 09:47:25 AM »
This problem cannot be solved by naval power alone.  The area that needs to be covered is vast and the Somali pirates have shown that they're not afraid to travel far out to sea to capture vessels.  They also know that they can operate with impunity from Somali soil.

The only way to make an impact is to strike the bases the pirates operate from, destroy their boats and weapons and kill the pirate warlords if possible.  Once that feeling of impunity disappears the number of attacks will lessen.

Don't mess with Joe!!

AC Milan midfielder Gennaro Gattuso has expressed his regret for his attack on Tottenham first-team coach Joe Jordan after the UEFA Champions League clash at the San Siro.

Part of that may be his realisation that in Jordan, he picked the wrong target. Here we look at five reasons why the midfielder may have picked on the wrong guy!

JAWS

Early in his career at Leeds, the Scot lost four front teeth playing in a reserve match. The result was a frightening smile that quickly helped him earn the nickname 'Jaws', a moniker that fitted his fearsome playing style.

Looking back on his career recently, Jordan said of the name: "I didn't see myself as a caricature in any way. I was what I was, but I look back and I had seven years at Leeds, who were one of the top teams in Europe, then I got a transfer to Manchester United, then a transfer to AC Milan. These are top clubs, and I had opportunities to go to Liverpool, Arsenal, Ajax.

"I'm not saying that to brag; if those teams thought I had something to offer, it was more than having no teeth. I was just unfortunate not to have any teeth."

CLASH

Jordan did not stand for nonsense on the pitch, highlighted by an incident in a Manchester United FA cup third round replay at Old Trafford against Tottenham in 1980, when he wiped out goalkeeper Milja Aleksic, who had been charging at him on corners. Aleksic, who played only a small number of games for Spurs, suffered a dislocated jaw in the incident.

THE SHARK

If Jordan's reputation at home had escaped Gattuso, he should have known more of the history of the club he captains. "He obviously hadn't done his homework," Harry Redknapp said. Had he done so, Gattuso would have known that Jordan, who joined Milan in 1981, was known in Italy as "The Shark", a local twist on the Jaws theme.

HARD MAN

In 2007, The Times named Jordan as the 34th hardest man in the history of the game. For the record, Milan's attack dog Gattuso, who has the nickname Ringhio ("growl'), did not register in the top 50, suggesting his bark is louder than his bite - even when he was in his prime.

STILL A HARD MAN

Jordan is not living off fading memories either. Since joining Tottenham in 2008, he has been involved in numerous touchline dust-ups.

In his first two weeks at the club he clashed with then Fulham manager Roy Hodgson and former Blackburn boss Paul Ince. Earlier this season, he challenged Newcastle goalkeeping coach Andy Woodman following Younes Kaboul's dismissal, screaming "Any time you like, any f****** time you like".

Tough luck today Kev.  To say I'm delighted with 3 points is an understatement, our midfield was pretty makeshift and few have won at the Stadium of Light this season.

You had a lot more play going forward but it was too narrow and made it easy for us to defend.  We had 2 shots on goal and scored them both otherwise we didn't have much in terms of attack.

Robbie came back from Liverpool a shadow of his former self and has never got any where near the form he had before he left.  To be fair the dynamic of the team was different when he came back so that may be part of the problem.

Maybe a change of scenery would do him good...What do you think Kev ;) ?

Darren Bent is a prolific scorer....IF he's your main striker and doesn't have to compete for his place.  From what I've seen if he loses his spot rather than work hard to regain his place he'll just sulk.  I don't know if he's worth 18 million but Villa is a good fit for him and his goals will definitely keep them in the premiership so it's a win for everybody (at least until Villa improve their strike force and Bent goes off the boil again.

Maybe Sunderland will take that money and get Robbie Keane off our payroll  ;D

I think he was just actually out of his depth. Sad to say.

With Wigan taking their time to adapt under Martinez, Scotland was given little sympathy by supporters who perhaps unfairly saw him as out-of-his-depth.

Dey still takin dey time to adapt!

Wigna is a rugby league town, they couldn't even fill their stadium when they were having decent results and now it's even worse.  I hope they get relegated so a team with fans that actually give a damn can take their place instead.

Both racist countries...and Qatar wants to use ac to cool massive stadiums? So much for the environment

Qatar already has the highest per capita carbon dioxide emissions of any nation but FIFA doesn't worry about things like infrastructure, security and profitability when deciding where to hold a world cup.  So why would they worry about the environment?

I'm happy for the Russian people because their government is now obligated to improve their woefully antiquated infrastructure...in the host cities at least.  That said I'm really disappointed for England, there are few places in the world that could have done a better job hosting it or where the fans have a greater passion for the game.

Qatar's win is a joke.  I have no doubt that the Qataris will spend billions and build the most advanced stadia the world has ever seen but who will fill them?

The cynic in me finds it hard to believe these decisions were made without the benefit of mass quantities of rubles and riyals changing hands.  The lesson here is that the World Cup is simply too big an event for it's location to be decided by 22 executives in a closed room.  Of course it will never happen as it's simply too lucrative for the 22 in question for them to ever consider a more open and democratic process.

The MOTM for me so far are the match officials.  English referees need to spend some time in Spanish ref school.

Not even the special one could turn this around.

Mourinho needs to get some advice from Harry for this one :D

Football / Re: Nani or Bale?
« on: November 29, 2010, 02:43:24 PM »
My comment about Bale being overrated is RELATIVE to some guys on FSC (Wynalda and the roly poly clown who used to do FFF) who were touting him as the best in the world...again overrated is a relative term

No doubt Bale is killing it so far this season, and in seasons past has looked like great potential.  The guy has an amazing left foot, and if you give him room he will run you up and down the flank tirelessly all game (ask Maicon)... His speed and his consistent execution of crosses is what makes him a constant threat.

Nani is a more imaginative and versatile player because he is less of an out and out winger than Bale is...so he is better on the outside and the inside....Bale's game is almost entirely around the outside because he is one-footed

I think people have seen Nani struggle more than Bale because he's been in the spotlight for longer so that skews the perspective, but Nani has carried Utd for quite a few games this season...Bale's high profile demolition of Inter has done alot for his stock as well....

They are both very good players....and I stand by the opinion that if Nani were British, he as well at some point this season would have been "the best player in the world" per the British media....

Bale is not a one footed player.  He's definitely stronger on his left but he scores goals with his right and can pass effectively with it as well.
