Yeah, that was very quick, but I doh think it is just football reasons. And yes I do believe Rougier can definitely be part of a Trinidad SQUAD.He can still contribute......utility man....forward,midfield,defence.The only player we have who can do that !

Football / The Ince Saga from de Guardian
« on: June 06, 2005, 09:56:12 PM »
T&T Football Federation special advisor Austin Jack Warner yesterday announced the resignation of T&T national goalkeeper Clayton Ince.

The resignation came on the heels of T&T’s impressive 2-0 win over Panama, in their World Cup qualifier on Saturday at the Hasely Crawford Stadium, Mucurapo, which Ince watched from the bench.

National coach Leo Beenhakker choose Kelvin Jack before Ince, a decision which surprised many, but which went well,as Jack brought off a couple of good saves to keep a clean sheet.

Ince, who plies his trade with Crewe Alexandra in the English football Coca-Cola Football League and has won 61 caps for the Warriors, felt slighted by his omission from the starting line up and on Sunday handed in his resignation, according to Warner.

Warner expressed disappointment with the action taken by Ince, especially since “he has been a role model on the team”

“I think he has been misguided” Warner said, as he referred to the latest development in the Warriors camp as “unfortunate,” stating: “I don’t think he has been given proper advice.”

Warner sought to remind all players interested in being a part of T&T football that whether they do it on the field, or on the bench, they are still representatives of the team.

According to both Warner and Beenhakker, Ince had been complaining of a back injury during the five-day camp that preceded Saturday’s match. With this in mind, Warner said Beenhakker was not prepared to take any chances with Ince in such a crucial match.

Ince felt that his complaint did not warrant him being left out of Saturday’s starting line-up and returned his ticket, passport and uniform to Warriors manager Bruce Aanensen.

Warner revealed that T&T captain, Dwight Yorke, was present and attempted to dissuade Ince from taking such drastic action, using his own experiences.

On June 28, 2001 Yorke and then captain Russell Latapy tendered their resignations on learning that they were dropped from T&T’s squad ahead of a World Cup qualifier against Jamaica. Earlier this year, Yorke mended his differences with the T&TFF and returned as team captain.

He sought to discourage Ince from leaving the team at this juncture in their World Cup qualifying campaign, but it appears that Ince had already made up his mind.

Keen to move on from this latest bump on the road to Germany, the T&TFF has called on CL Financial San Juan Jabloteh custodian Durance Williams, who has made an immediate impression on the FIFA vice-president.

Warner revealed that Williams received his call up at midnight and joined the team promptly at 4am yesterday.

He commended Williams and praised his professional attitude.

Of Ince, Warner said: “I wish him well.”

The T&T team left for Monterrey, Mexico, where they will play the hosts and group leaders in the fifth round of matches in CONCACAF’s third qualifying stage on Wednesday.

The Local Organising Committee Germany 2006 Ltd has advised that Wednesday’s match will be broadcast live from Monterrey on NCC TV-Channels 4 and 16 at 8pm local time.

LATE FLASH:

Ince denies quitting

In response to Warner’s comments Ince has said that despite his disappointment at being excluded from Saturday’s game he has in fact not resigned but has only asked for a break from national duty.

Ince said he had been suffering with back spasms and wanted time to take care of his ailment hence his request to not travel with the team to Mexico.

Full story in tomorrow’s Guardian......wednesday

I was just thinking about him today.Like if he just drop of the radar.I guess Rougier must be preparing for life after football because I know he express a desire for his children to grow up in the States at the end of his career.Because it certainly is'nt about the money here.Rhinos cyar dream of paying him what he was getting in England,or China for that matter.

This is the only official word we have

The team will depart with only one change being goalkeeper Duarance Williams coming in for Clayton Ince after the Crewe Alexandra custodian informed management that he would be opting to sit out the Mexico match

Arrow I'm foreign base now,use to be involved in local football and unless something has drastically change which it doesnt appear so, believe me when i tell you Jack is involve in EVERY important decision concerning T&T football. If he is not in the country they call him on the phone to inform him before a decision is made. Our Administrators have allow this to happen for two decades now.

Ah guess we ain't going to get ah official word from Shaun Fuentes until Jack telll Ince like it is.From my familiarity with similar situations in the past,Jack will give him a reality check .....then if he still insist he retire,Jack will let him go and he'll be on Jacks blacklist. The only men to stand up to this was Yorke and Latapy mainly because their careers won't as a direct result of Jacks imput. But main who it affected were Jerron Nixon when he was in Scotland and threaten to boycott a Shell Cup final and Rougier who was playing for Reading in England.

The guy from Millwall is now at Cardiff and his name is Tony Warner but I was'nt even asking him because like Zamora he turn us down already while he was Liverpool reserve keeper.
Doh panic everything will sought itself out.The senior players must respect that things are done differently now and no more free trips.Stay at home Ince and recover, this ain't a rank thing anymore as we always like to pull in Trini.

How come foreign journalist can print things like Birchall starting today in midfield and our local journalist doh have that info and could only speculate on who playing ! Is ah real shame. If this was Brazilians journalism we will even know what those guys had this morning for breakfast.

Football / Re: Hislop insists he is not retiring
« on: May 31, 2005, 12:06:05 PM »
Out of all de positions,yu keeping have to be playing all the time because he cyar make mistakes.Timing is fundamental for a keeper and playing time is critical. This is why Ince is No 1 at present. This does'nt say that Shaka is'nt good.

3445
If the Home Office do their homework Scotland may not get his work permit. What he is banking on is an appeal for special despensation ..stating that he was left out because of his hairstyle. This is why he was singing this song from early and getting it print in the Scottish press so they will have evidence from the press clippings.
That argument if it will stand we'll wait and see but it is certainly not truth, as mentioned above others had the same hairstlye and played. Therefore there had to be another reason why BSC left him out.

3446
Ah guess that's de end of Cox because it appeared he did'nt seem to happy in beening left out and decide to return to England.
Also apparently Beenieman picking men he generally had  time to work out with ,this is why men like Spann,Dwarika and Glenn probable did'nt make the cut.He ain't seen enough (all) of them.He need to see them some more.I still find picking Rojas is sh!t.

3447
Doh forget de late Russel Texeira ,no body could ah stop dat ball in front him den try to beat him.Even de great Pele tried it in de Oval playing for Cosmos and failed.
Other names Ray Moraldo and Gordon Husbands, who both played in de '70's.Husbands was probable the last good left back we produce because Derek Lewis did'nt play on de national team long enough and Marvin Faustin was a convert, who played dat position depending on de coach.

De program was a kicks program from de little ah hear, but dey did give a explanation why we playing Bermuda as de warm up game
Paraguay was approached first (after El Salvador) pull out and dey could'nt make it,Cuba was sought after next and dey could'nt make it.Jamaica was approached and dey could have made it but TTFF felt seeing dey playing dem soon in England, they would hold back on dat one and eventually Bermuda was approached and dey agreed.
According to Fuentes dey were approached because of their results in the last qualifiers in de WC.
Other dan dat it was a kicks program with no real substance.De players talk up Beenieman and say dat Birchall fit in real good.
De program was more a rallying cry to round up support for de game against Panama.
And as mentioned above it was real amusing when de TSTT man cell phone was giving trouble and dey had to cut de call
