Slates.....plenty men went on from college ball to higher heights not only those few yuh mention. The problem is the talent pool at secondary school has drop dramatically over de years.
Just to start yu thinking almost de whole of Benedicks '66 squad went on with 9 men from there starting 11 eventually playing for Trinidad.

Ron La - Belmont

Lincoln Phillip - QRC

Everard Cummins - Fatima

and the list goes on and on.Too many to continue

I played against Clauzel and indeed he was exciting, even has the same birthdate as Pele and played well against New York Cosmos against international stars on a Caribbean All Star team. But the man in my opinion who made Clauzel look even better was a midfielder they  callled Emerson Dubbision. This guy played for Trinidad against China while still going Mucurapo, but ASL helped destroy his career but keeping him on the bench all the time.

Lenny Taylor was just coaching  some under 14  youths in Florida  a few weeks ago (less than 6 weeks) for a club name Renegades.Yes he has coached St Vincent national team and I taught he was from their but I see Reggaefan say he from JA .
A decent coach but still has too prove himself at this level. He has worked extensive with youths and been an Instructor for the US coaching license courses.

From these reports and listening to beenie man, it looks like we'll be depending heavily on de foreign base.......Lord put ah hand, heaven help us!

It was'nt TTFF that had other plans ,it was Tony Warner because at that time he was Liverpool's reserve keeper and was told big things were instore for him,if he did'nt go.
So much for the big things ! Zamora should share stories with him.

What's the word on Rougier ? He had one bad game (probable injured) and they drop him like ah hot potato and nobody saying anything and we ain't get nothing on this issue from TTFF.
This is the problem that these pros have with TTFF.After a man give yeoman service to is country he is somewhat treated with no respect and we the fans/citizens are surely treated the same. Rougier can play every position on the field for us and he has from a youth except goal keeper and you telling me he can't be utilised and called up in a squad close to 50 players ?There must be more to it than meets the eye,and he younger than Nakhid.
Probable he cuss up Phillip and dem after he was sub in the US game.

Nuff respect to Big Marv for standing for his believes especially when it come to his country.Fellas you'll realise a player has a lot to do with this club vs country thing. The final decision is left with the player and Big Marv say T&T first so big club Rangers a bit concern about the uncoming international games. He ain't like some players who playing Pontus Pilate and washing their hands for their club vs country  battle because they afraid.

Great interview, great answers, let's hope he can be a great player for T&T soon.

Tallman was there not a Nigerian girl who is married to a Trinidadian and played for our women's national team ? I believe there is also an American girl same thing.

Ah wonder if W Connection see him  :)  hehehehe

Wha happen to Zamora now ? He still feel he'll play for England ? I understand his father was pushing for him to play for Trini but his agent and club talked him out of it.
Bring on de foreign base red ,yellow black and white de all precious in we sight ...as long as de could play ball.
I understand one ah dem Brazilians with W Connection not Seabra marry ah Trini. That should make him legible too.
 Bring dem on.

Football / Pro League Round Up
« on: April 17, 2005, 08:09:17 AM »

W CONNECTION got late goals from Andre Toussaint and Gefferson Goulart to earn a come-from-behind 2-1 triumph over CL Financial San Juan Jabloteh, at the Ato Boldon Stadium, Couva, in the second round of the T&T Pro League yesterday. Defending champs North East Stars held off a determined effort from Tobago United to prevail 4-3 at the Sangre Grande Recreation Ground while the scheduled fixture between Defence Force and United Petrotrin, at the Hasely Crawford Stadium, Mucurapo, was cancelled.

Jabloteh’s captain/assistant coach Angus Eve gave a reminder to the national technical staff when he put his squad ahead in the 62nd minute before Toussaint levelled the scores for the ‘Savonetta Boys’ in the 83rd. Four minutes later, the Brazilian-born Goulart notched his fourth goal this season, to guarantee full points for Connection. Anthony Wolfe opened the scoring for North East in the 15th minute before fellow midfielder, Guyanese Kayode McKinnon doubled the lead in the 31st.

The hosts seemed assured of the win when veteran striker Jerren Nixon found the back of the net in the 43rd but the Tobagonians reduced the deficit with goals from strikers Noel Williams (45th) and Ashford Legerton (49th). Midfielder Fabian Garcia put North East 4-2 up in the 58th before ex-national defender Dwayne Jack trimmed the lead in the 72nd. But North East’s defenders withstood all that Tobago could throw at them and held out for the win.......newsday

Football / Brazilian puts Connection pass Stars
« on: April 09, 2005, 09:40:33 PM »
BRAZILIAN midfielder Gefferson Goulart marked his return to Trinidad and Tobago football with a first-round hat-trick to give Vibe CT 105 W Connection an emphatic 4-0 victory over defending champions National Quarries North East Stars at the Ato Boldon Stadium, Couva yesterday on the first day of the 2005 T&T Pro League.

W Connection are now the early leaders in the competition, after CL Financial San Juan Jabloteh drew goalless with Caledonia AIA/Fire in yesterday's other match played at the Mannie Ramjohn Stadium, Marabella.

Goulart and fellow Brazilian Ronaldo Viana spent the last year and a half in Bosnia Hezegovina on loan to FC Zelenik, who played in the UEFA Cup last season after finishing third in their domestic league.

Yesterday's tough tackling match saw home team W Connection taking the lead as early as the seventh minute when striker Andre Toussaint converted a penalty. Toussaint won the penalty when he was pulled down by defender Glenton Wolffe and referee Ted Gordon immediately pointed to the spot. Toussaint then stepped up to take the kick, sending goalkeeper Trevor Nottingham the wrong way.

The Sangre Grande-based Stars had an excellent chance to grab an equaliser in the 26th minute, through Jerren Nixon, last year's Most Valuable Player. But faced with only keeper Jan Michael Williams to beat, Nixon only succeeded in hitting the post with a feeble flick from the left side of the penalty area.

A minute later, Brazilian William Da Silva Oliviera tested Nottingham with a hard shot which the Stars keeper did well to keep out, and Connection also had another chance in the 30th minute when Jose Luis Seabra's left- footer just skimmed the top of the post on its way out of play.

And before the half ended, Nottingham again rescued the defending champions when getting his body in the way of a shot from Toussaint.

The Stars came out fighting in the second half and again would have levelled the score in the 46th minute had keeper Williams not gotten his body in the way of Anthony Wolffe's powerful shot.

Connection then took advantage of the reprieve when Goulart capitalised on a defensive blunder to stab the ball in from close up in the 67th minute to give his team a 2-0 lead.

The Brazilian got his second in the 75th minute when he collected a pass from Earl Jean on the left and blasted the ball low into the Stars' net.

The fast-paced match saw six yellow cards being dished out by referee Ted Gordon who gave cautions to Seabra (16th), Andre Toussaint (22nd), David Atiba Clarles (72nd) and Kendall Davis (77th) of Connection, while Stars players Anthony (9th) and Glenton Wolffe (6th) also received yellow cards.

It got worse for Stars when Abasi McPherson was given a red card in the 76th minute for violent conduct after kicking a player.

Goulart then complete his hat-trick three minutes into time-added-on when collecting a square pass from Viana and giving Nottingham no chance with a powerful, low left footer.

Fellas,I have two questions 1. I see he just coach Holland in 1990,my question is why?  2.His former glory seems to be greater than his present, again why?
Excuse my ignorance but I hope we ain't bringing a man who pass his prime and just looking for a final big paycheck!
