Football / Re: postcard from Jamaica
« on: October 23, 2005, 03:58:28 PM »
been vacationing on th eisland with my family for teh past week or so. Nuff Jerk Pork and Chicken consumed so far.

But waht is this nonesense I hear Jack Warner stirring up a storm over? Didnt Trinidad set up camp in Panama 5 days before their penultimate world cup qualifying game in Panama City recently? How come the Panama Federation didnt accuse the hotel who accomodatedthe tea mof 'selling out'?

And am i  the only one who think that as a FIFA Vice President, Jack Warner needs to show a little bit more diplomacy when dealing with these types of issues? conflict of interest?

And what is preventing Bahrain from setting up an 8 day camp in cayman/cuba/bahamas ? Would Jack also accusethose countryies of selling out?  As far as I know, the JFF does not own a national training facility. So them staying  in Jamaica for 8 days in prep for Trinidad has nothing to d owith the JFF.  They more than likelwy will be booking into one of the north coast hotels. This is not a footbal issue, Jack Warner!

And what if Trinidad had decided to go on a 5 da ycamp in Iran to prepare for the Bahrain game. I doubt Bahrain would threaten sancions against Iran for it.

Jack needs to show a little bit more confidence in his charges to get the job done. Seems he is alread trying to find a scape goat.

I have the feeling that Boxhill will go ahead and play the game vs Bharain. Its not within the JFF's power to ask th emany hotels in Jamaica no tto accomodate teh Bharain team if they want to satay at their facility,so that is a none-issue. there are at least 20 other destination in te Caribbean for Baharain to saty if they want to. Antigua, dominica,st.vincent etc,all just a hop away fropm trinidad.

anyway, I going to the beach in a little.

There are other destinations in the Caribbean but why do you think they choose Jamaica. Perhaps because of the level and similarity(I'll probably get some flak for that one)of football in JA and T&T, remember their first choice was Guatemala and I suspect it was because of similar reasons.   Guatemala turned them down because of CONCACAF solidarity, what is JA reason for accepting them. Also Trinidad and Tobago's team was in Panama 5 days prior to the game against Panama but they weren't scrimageing against Panamanian club teams.

I hope forumites at home take Lasana to task for the nonsense he write, another damn waggonist if I ever saw one. We all know how hard is has been for our boys, but they have worked hard and deserve their credit.

Give our players and coach what they need, POSITIVE VIBES ALL THE WAY.
We not in Germany yet but comparing our situation in 1989 against the US to Bahrain, man we have a hell of a good chance to beat that team good and proper and earn our rightful place in Football history!!!

Yes folks, we need positive vibes for the team ALL THE TIME. Lets do our part to help the RED do they need to do. VIBES IT UP(POSITIVELY)

I'm a lazio fan ... stuff like this is blown way out of context ... the reason why the monkey chants exist is to offend the player... I know its wrong, but 95% of the fans don't even care what the color of the player's skin is ...

I mean these clubs have black players... and many of them are hero's to the fans ... which shows the contradiction

P.S the Moors were N. Africans (like arabs, semetic blood line) who went into lands conquered by the arabs, like southern Italy, and spain and settled there ...

RACISM SHOULD NOT EXIST IN TODAY'S SOCIETY!

also speaking of racist (well discrimination), check one of the earlier threads on this forum where some user attacks muslims ... isn't that sad ... you know this is sports, you can make fun of each other's teams, but insulting skin color, and religion ? thats just pathetic

-Sal from Bahrain

The Moors who under Hannibal invaded Italy were of both Black African and Arab groups. There was actually a definite distinction between the two groups.

Simply it means that we have the same equal shares that TnT have into going to WorldCup 2006 :)

we have the means & way (Fair ways) as TnT in playing and winning/losing the game :)

at the end ... we are trying our best to show our countery & how is our people.

We are not BAD as what other posts in this fourm have descriped us.

We are also waiting for the finals in Germany as you are :)

We just look for the Support Fair support that

the teams are looking forward to in a way

that we honor each other & treat

each other with respect.

I wish both teams all

the best and may

the best win

Our wishes & hopes it would be Bahrain & Your wishes , prayers & hopes also in Tnt...

Regards
Well said!! Football should be uniteing peoples not dividing them, your team and country should feel confident that they would be treated fairly in TnT and that the match would be judged fairly...at least it is my hope that the match be judged fairly. If Bahraini fans travel to Trinidad I'm sure they will enjoy the atmosphere(even whilst their team is losing ;)) partying and drinking(alcoholic or non alcoholic)  beverages :beermug: :beermug: etc.

Lord, put a hand. Here we go again. Yes, I know we are all excited, yes I too would love to see our Warriors face Brazil or England. However, we have not even beaten Bahrain, trust me, we are all saying that Bahrain have not beaten a team of the quality of Mexico and this is true but I suspect that they will be even hungrier than Mexico and these two games will be really hard. I rather they under-estimate us than we do the same to them. Remember that Honduras game when they played all over us with Hislop in inspired form and they more than deserved to beat us comfortably. On that night an inferior beat a much better team.

We team hungry too. I would say even hungrier than Bahrain because we come so close 3 times before. So de team know that they have to stay focused. Let Beenie and the boys handle they business for these next two games. As for me...well I in Germany AREADY!!!!Doh worry, we 11 staying focused.

Football / Re: Would Latas make a CONCACAF XI?
« on: October 18, 2005, 01:56:03 PM »
Based on 11 players..no subs.
Latas is still good enough to make it.  Can't see anybody else making the squad. Looking at the keepers, Keller and Panama keeper (I think his name is Penedo) are way better than Jack.  Yorke can't make as a forward on current form, will make if track record carries the most weight.

Stern..it depends..if it is Half Slab playing then definitely not..if the real Stern playing then that is a different story.

If we considering bench..Dog and Carlos might make it.

So other than Latas and probably the real Stern I don't think anybody else could make a Concacaf starting 11.

Stern is a no brainer...Stern starting!!!

thanx for all to replay & im sorry about the mistake about (TRINIDAD) , & about analyze i mean our coach will see the powers of all your players , & the formation of your team & he will put a plan against your formations & your players , we know also you have very good players like stern john & yourk if he plays , but dont forget we have (Talal yousif) the bekcham of bahrain  , you will see what can this player providr in the match &  we have also  (alaa hubail )socer of Asia , & other good players

i will give you soon the gools of these players  ;)

do you know football teams play formations based on the opposition/score/injuries/condition/location
looking at a past game is not that good of a way of analyzing a team dan

ٍSure our federation looks at all those factors you mentioned - condition, location, injuries, etc. etc - but i would definitely say watching past games is a good way of getting a feel for the style of football/soccer that the other team plays which doesn't really change drastically from game to game. T & T doesn't have alot of experience playing with teams from Asia and nor does Bahrain have alot of experience playing teams from Central and South America so watching a few past games would be a good way to get to know your players and style etc. etc. I am very postive that your federation as well is taking a look at our previous games to get know the opposing team better. Peace

Actually Trinidad and Tobago plays a lot of friendlies against Morrocco etc, so we do know their style of play. Watch out Bahrain the RED brigade coming!!!

« on: October 18, 2005, 11:29:51 AM »
I am not in favor of anyone jumping onto the bandwagon once we have qualified for Germany but the fact is we have not accomplished our goal to date.  We are in a playoffs for a spot, We have not qualified.

There are still at least two World Cup qualifier gmaes to be played and the truth of the matter is that we need help on the left.  I as many of the Forumites have never spoken to J. Lloyd or Zamora and do not truly know what is in their heart of hearts.  So to jump to conclusions about their conviction to our team maybe premature.  I remind many of you of the number of posts made on this site about Birchall and look at what he has brought to this team, not only in play but in terms of commitment.

I am not copping out on this decision but it is Don Leo's obligation to improve the National team and if he sees fit to make some addition, let him go ahead if the end product on the field is an improvement.

The one factor I think many men are forgetting: There are some men on this team who can fight down any foolishness.  Dwight, Shaka, Latas and Dog to mention a few will not support anything that would disrupt this team without providing a strong voice in support or in opposition.  Don Leo is a product of these players voicing their feelings.

We will be alright in the end.  I am sure of it.

Germany we heading!!!

You're right we don't know what is in a man heart or mind, but what we do know is that the fellas who are currently donning the RED are doing so out of pure patriotism and Love for T&T or else they probably wouldn't put up with all the nonsense that comes with representing T&T. As long as a man putting T&T first, I cool wid dat.

What do you know of Jack Warner  to make such silly statements.  Jack Warner doesn't need to bribe anyone on our behalf. If that was the case T&T would have been in the WC a long time ago, not getting ready to kick Bahrain's ass in Nov.
