This death really bothering me as the world may never see such a person again (at least not in my lifetime). all these celebrities die and people morn them, but I never got caught up in those thing. I love Whitney Houston, Michael Jackson could do no wrong, yet even when they died I took those in stride, but this leaves an empty feeling. not to sure why or why so much.I can definitely relate to this sentiment.
Amandla!!!!awethu
12 yrs now and Pro League has made no advances, nothing pro about the league.
Most amateur / semi pro teams in Europe will be in envy of the so called pro teams
Poor pay and then when players do get interest from abroad, excessive demands by owners, coaches , agents, forces the player back home. Sorry this is wrong, especially when the Government supporting most of the teams.
No training facilities, not one team owns its own ground.
No advancement in the CONCACAF CL, even Panama gone ahead.
Sorry to say, but the fact that JJ got a tryout means very little. really hope he makes it, but the fact remain TT players made
it abroad way before we even had a pro league. Most would argue that T&T produced better players than now.
Poor organization and fixture lists. The list goes on.
Now before someone try to knock off my head. The Clubs are trying, but in general football has no or very little public support.
As a matter of fact this is true for all sport. Even college football hardly drawing any crowd.
That's not much of an issue. Even in the midst of the arab spring these leagues were still functioning. We need to start looking at Africa as well. South Africa, Egypt, Tunisia, Ivory Coast and DRC have tremendous leagues. The quality, organisation and pay are lightyears ahead of TnT's PL and the MLS.
... on the other hand, political instability is a feature.
Not to belabor this topic, but Cape Verde is very good. They took down some big teams in the last ACN. Youtube them. There are only 8 teams higher than us in the rankings. In reverse order;I'm not entirely sure how you came up with the above mentioned teams being over-ranked but Switzerland and Cape Verde are excellent teams. If TnT were to come away with a victory over either of these, we would have accomplished much.
Haiti (80)
Dominican Republic(78)
Cuba (74)
Panama (36)
Honduras (34)
Costa Rica (31)
Mexico (24)
United States (13)
Set up the USA game! :p. From a cynical perspective there are a couple teams over-ranked that would help us; Switzerland (7), Bosnia-Hertzegovina (16), Armenia (38), Cape Verde islands (42). If we had the money a match against any of these would be excellent (a draw against Switzerland would give us a lot of points).
To be honest we'll move up a hella lot - the two wins against Jamaica are worth double the points we got in the whole of last year.
Trust me I ain't saying they're easy - but there are clearly more than 7 teams better than Switzerland and more than 42 teams better than Cape Verde in my opinion, making them "over ranked" in a strict sense. I mean Cape Verde are ranked higher than Japan (44), Egypt (51), Korea (56), Australia (57), and Israel (66)

it's amazing the treatment we mete out to our Caribbean brothers and sisters...they treat Jamaicans badly in Cayman too.

And I agree to a point, for example, if Point make it to de CCL, how de ass they go bring Toluca to play on a goat grazing field with no nuts man.

this commentator is ah real kicksman uoi...he say how Caribbean goalkeepers real superstitious and put obeah(pichingo he call it) on the goalpost which is why dey couldn't score.
Not sure about superstition, but the players swore that Mickey Trotman was in that goal that night and they were never going to score.
