This should free up a move for Kenwyne to centre back

Oh yes could it be...a wingback who can tackle, overlap and put in a dangerous cross.

Things looking better.

problem is we need him to play centerback too...

I don't think there's a single T&T football supporter who HASN'T wondered to themself "what if that penalty was scored, where would our WCQ campaign be now?"

What ever happened to Leslie Fitzpatrick? He's been at the Rhinos since before Sancho. To be fair I think he needs to be fitter and up his work rate to have a look, but given our left wingback situation I might have considered him.

The only thing that happened to him was he never improved beyond mediocre at best

“I’m quite happy with the young lads who came in. It was always very difficult to throw them into fire. I would much prefer to breed them and take my time with that process but that’s the situation we’re in where I’ve had to ask these young players to go out and perform at the highest level without having much experience.

2006 (really 2005) after 5 games we had 4 points

2009 after 5 games we have 2 points.

Advantage 2006

2006 - 2 of the last 5 games were home games

2009 - 3 of the last 5 games are home games

Advantage 2009

2006 - Coach Leo Beenhakker

2009 - Coach Russell Latapy

Advantage 2006

2006 - Yorke, Latapy, Stern John, Whitley, Carlos Edwards, Birchall etc

2009 - Carlos Edwards, ???????

Advantage 2006

Summary - All things considered, we were a lot better off in 2006 than in 2009.

2006 - We never went a world cup
2009 - Battle hardened. Been there done that

The Experience Factor
Advantage - 2009

that's worked out well for us so far

I can't believe nobody has mentioned Cristiano Ronaldo- that guy is rarely ever injured and wants to play every minute of every game, he gets knocked about from opposing players every game and he doesn't get hurt, don't mind he falls down a bit easily to say the least, but most players are like that nowadays, they got no problem with blatantly lying and behaving underhanded, a shame really.

he asked about iron "MEN"

Football / Re: If kenwayne Jones was English
« on: June 15, 2009, 08:08:24 AM »
He would be an English shithong! People talkin about he would be dis and dat if was at a big side and get better coach an sh1te; but the bottomline is he still aint lookin like he doin his part tuh improve. Say wat about Dwight he worked on becomin the player that made big side spend money on him because he showed a hunger and performed when he went to United. Jones get a big contract based on potential and aint win shite and he acting like he reach. Ah waitin for an interview when he talkin about all the hard work he puttin to improve the things even a greenhorn like myself can see he stll can't do as a damn professional. Come on when is he going to take responsibility for trying tuh take things to the next level or is it as good as it gets which he already knows and people out there don't want to accept it?
Breds , jones scored 12 goals this season in all competition, and he missed almost half the season, the top scorer in the epl had 19 goals (anelka) and he played all season long with ah better supporting cast.

Kj not only had 12 goals in all competitions, but he had the top assist for his club. i not making no excuses for him BC i think he was capable of much better, but that ain't bad for ah fella who just came off ah serious injury and might be still injured somewhat.

i watched the mexico game 3times now and when i analize the tape, KJ wasn't getting any service, none period, the only half ah chance he had was when daniel played that ball in for him and he kicked it straight @ the keeper who fumbled the ball.

scotty is the man who got all the chances tuh score and blew it. all the hype made KJ one of the most fared striker in concacaf and the EPL! i never see ah man get doubled and trippled teamed as much as KJ, that's why it's really hard for him tuh score, he needs much better service from club and country. we have big players , but we don't know how tuh untilize them. an hope latas get it right for the remaining fixtures.

BTW, he out scored the following big players,
zamora,
dempsey,
utaka,
adebayor,
alves, mido,
roberts,
martins,
owens,
tevez,
fabregas,
maluda,
defoe,
saha,
bendtner,
 berbatov,
steven ireland,
creg bellamy,
drogba,
callou,
ashley
young,
sean write phillips,
emile hesky,
jermain jennas,
roque santa cruz,
xabi alonzo,
theo walcott.

nah breds that was Stead!!! and the 19 goals for anekla was only in the EPL, not counting champions league and FA cup. if yuh quoting stats quote d right ting so folks could put wat yuh saying in to proper perspective. now take those stats and compare KJ again and tell him if yuh verdict is d same. bottom line, IMO he is not a striker. he would never make ah england side with that rapist touch he have. beckham cudnt make d team because of his fitness...yuh think fabio go play KJ with dat touch and lack of work rate? please!!!
Carlton Cole has a better first touch than Kenwyne?

Carlton Banks from fresh prince of bel-air have a better first touch than Jones I sure

The former FC Porto player left for Scotland on Thursday morning to tie up some personal business before returning home next week. This has been his first opportunity to return to the UK since being appointed as head coach of the T&T team.

while you there I hope you make a trip over to England to talk to Samuel and Zamora.  We ent going a place without those two in the starting lineup
Ollie Camps alleges that talks have already taken place and that Jlloyd seems more open to the idea than Zamora.
jloyd was always more willing to play for us...i don't know why we have this love affair with zamora..he turned us down at first because he believed he could make england's team..then changed his mind after we qualifed..
either way jloyd is more important for us to get..he's a good defender who can play lb or cb...

oh yea I forgot we have big name strikers who scoring like rain

kENWYNE JONES AND JASON SCOTTLAND ARE BUMS!!!!!! THEY CYAR TIE STERN AND ROBERTS SHOELACES EVEN IF THEY TRY!!!!!!

LATAS AH GLAD YUH SEE FOR YUH SELF , EVEN IF AH FELLA PLAYING IN ENGLAND AND SCORING, DO MEAN HE'S THE BEST OPTION.

BRING BACK ROBERTS THE NATRUAL GOAL SCORER, AND JAGDEOSINGH.

Unfortunately Roberts ent go get no play as long as he in that Turkish league.  Nobody paying attention to he over dey, he orf de radar.  Don't know who his agent is but if he wants to be a regular starter for T&T he needs to play in England, Scotland or MLS.   He should go to a Championship or even League 1 side or an SPL side...he can more than hold he own over there.

Come on Jack - lots of federations looking to be on your good side, especially with the new appointment - men does waste you down here, but in the end, is beg they have to beg to get a game arranged against any opposition ... or to organise funding for a tour.

I say send them on a tour similar to the Argentina tour ... or like the suggestion, get Haiti, Martinique, Guatemala, Panama, Colombia, Venezuela ... some of those sides to play in a 5 day tournament.

this makin real sense.. we need to games. we have 15 points to play for.. cuz we could beat all them teams at home.. we might even upset Costa rica..
the way I look at its

Beat USA, MEXICO AND EL SALVADOR AT HOME
BEAT HONDURAS IN DEY BACK YARd
WIN OR DRAW COSTA RICA ( I KNOW I ASKING FOR PLENTY, BUT WE DID WELL AGAINST MEXICO. 2-1 )

SO DAIS A POSSIBLE 15 OR 13 POINTS TO GAIN

THE USA AND COSTA RICA NEED TO WIN THERE REMAINING MATCHES ASIDE FROM WHEN THEY PLAY US.
CUZ I FEEL MEXICO GNA LOOSE 6 POINTS IN THE AZTECA ( GNA LOOSE AGAINST THE USA AND COSTA RICA)

they already beat COsta Rica at home 2-0

Aguirre left with bitter taste after Tricolor win

“The people might be disappointed, but the players are even more disappointed. It’s killing them inside because they know we could have won by a greater score,” Aguirre expressed.

Aguirre finished by agreeing with the Mexican fans, saying again that the result should have been greater.

“This game was for a 5-1 score, and I hope that the Trinidadian press doesn’t misinterpret that. It should have been a bulk result and the fans are right to be mad.”

(continue)

Mexicans full of hot air. We have to fix those egos on the return leg.

he is 100% spot on with those comments

Mexico ends skid, beats Trinidad 2-1 on Rojas goal.
The win was Mexico’s second in five games in the final round of CONCACAF qualifying, and climbed it past El Salvador into fourth place with six points at the midpoint of the “hexagonal”. Trinidad remained winless with two points and in last, further damaging its chances of returning to the World Cup after becoming the smallest nation to qualify in 2006.

this is our biggest problem....the other teams are all beating up each other and collecting 3 points at home. everyone except us!!  We need all these sides like El Salv, Honduras and Mexico to start drawing all their matches so we can keep them within striking distance

Hear nah where we play dat game ??? not d azteca ??? when beeny went dere how much he get, how much bertille team get ??? d attitude ah some people to dis loss shockin ???, dat is perhaps d most respectable performance we put dong in mexico an' allyuh gettin on like we shit dong we self be real people come on!

those mexico teams that play against BSC and Beenie woulda given this Mexico team about 5

And with a little less luck today we coulda colleck 7, just like BSC team.  This game was equally as lobsided as those other 2

Give Latas a full 4 years and we will qualify

he is 0-0-2 picking the side he wants.

against historically 2 of the top teams in the region. in one of the most diffiicult venues in the entire world
iz real tough trying to understand allyuh logic yes
y'all really expect miracles.

I going out on a limb now and saying:

Barring any strange circumstances, El Salvador will collect ah cool 4 in August.. ah cool 4

Will it be too late, probably... we reaping what jack sow since 2006... we need a miracle

just hope Ince save like today again or we may colleck 5

Allyuh keep in mind we had a makeshift back four, with a rookie in central defence and a central defender at left back.

who fault is that?  they have no other left backs in T&T that coulda play after Avery got injured?  Did we really need to start a rookie in central defense?  steups

As far as i concerned i really believe we could beat everybody in this hex if we just concentrate for the full game and of course use hungry players ie tinto and jorsling
Tinto not Jorsling.... jorsling lost every ball since he come on.. ::)

Samuel would have been a much better choice.   Has there ever been a worse player than Jorsling to grace the field in the Azteca?
