Football / Re: Birchall set to consider his future with T&T
« on: July 27, 2013, 07:20:19 PM »
Stteeeuuupppsssssss!!!

ah glad allyuh hear fuh allyuh self, the man say it eh have nothing to play for, no gold cup, no world cup, so he dun wid that until further notice.

so here it is in ah nut shell, the only reason to be an international is when something is @ stake, but when it's just friendlies or regional tourneys, lemme just wait this out and let the B teamers fight their guts out and when we qualify i will come in and do meh ting.

my self and "true trini" talked about this many times! IMO birchal saw that he may not FEATURE ON THE TEAM AS HE WOULD LIKE AND DECIDE IS BETTER TO RIDE OUT THAN TO SIT AND RIDE PINE.

two degicel cups in a row birchall was called up and he fained injury or business matters so he wont wave to participate, he never wants to play in unimportant tourneys, he only wants to star in the big games while the local base do all the heavy lifting.

and it's not just birchal but all those english players with the exception of boucaud and ricky shakes who really wanted to play for T&T.

fellas like hoyte, zamora, JLLoyd and even birchall. had those guys got ah wiff @ england yuh think they would even give T&T the slightest thought?

it's all a using game, now these fellas either realize that their english dreams would not materialize and decided finally to come play for we, but grudgingly.

i bet if T&T had the status of a mexico or uraguay they would've been in our squad since they were as young as 21 yrs old, just look @ the other hoyte who's still young(23) and could get an england call up, see if he would jump on the trini train anytime soon??

What about the support in Miami, Dallas and Atlanta you checking that too?

The support in NJ could have been way bigger if they had the game in NY instead of NJ guaranteed.

Can wait for NYC FC and Cosmos to build that field in NY.

NY to big to have none.

Nah horse yuh drunk!

breddren the path train is 20 mins from WTC to RBA, and in reality, it's further to get to queens than harrison NJ either way, by road or by rail.

as ah matter of fact, if yuh leave early enough you could get to RBA in 25 mins via the holland tunnel, it's literally a hop skip and a jump.

that is ah cop out, trinis doh like football and we not patriotic. if yuh don't believe me just ask 100 trinis if they will ever pick up arms and fight to liberate T&T and see what answers yuh get  :worried:. these spanish and dem, well yuh don't even have to ask to know the answer to that question.

PS, when i was @ the game and saw all them spanish supporters from honduras and el salvador, i said to my self, we trinis is really ah shitty ppl boy.

we couldn't even come out for the game, just one time and give the boys ah boost, yet we could line up outside all dem mass camp in brooklyn or pay big money to fly to miami and boston for carnival, it's ah fackin shame i say.

could you imagine there's more trinis in NYC than salvadorians and hondurans, but yet still, it's like the whole of their town ship came for the game to cheer their country man on.

i felt so embarrass and so overwhelmed @ the same time, i actually wondered what it would be like to be a honduran and see all my ppl having ah time in one spot in unison.  what ah feeling that must be.

I feel the SWO website, Flex and Tallman should be part of the TTFA.

They should hire them to play some part of the TTFA.

I know the TTFA is still rebuilding and don't have the money to do much but I am sure something can be worked out.

The support in de USA was amazing for de Gold Cup even when people in T&T gave up, we supported here and de SWO played a big part and they can still help market de TTFA better and grow more support among other things.

Some man in de TTFA may not like de idea because they will get outshine, but the new TTFA have more sense than that.

Sheldon, is a little more open minded and could make this call.

Combine, we better than standing alone.

This is a farce SAM.

remember i was in redbull stadium and so were you, you saw how much trinis were there, less than ah fackin thousand, if so much!!  :banginghead: and in an area of america which have over a million trinis, and all we could have mustered @ a game in our back yard was ah lousey grand worth of supporters??

pleassseeee! trinis doh like football, they love nice and best results and tuh hear we name call, just good times with no hardship involved.

Hopefully with the improvement we will start to see some home games as well and the fans willcome out and start to believe again
Yeh the limers and the girl chasers.

i would rather see 10,000 true fans than a packed stadium full ah limers picking up seats that the avid football fan could use. these fair wether fans love the excitement and the pageantry, not the game.

Idiot thread!     :yellowcard:
So I guess you support all football teams and don't particularly mind losing to any of them.

Good on you, no need to post in this thread then, just move along!  :yellowcard:
NOOooooooooooo..... it's bc you're telling ppl who to love and who not to love.

i believe no self respecting trinbagonian should not have spend all that money to go to germany to support a vampire organization like simpaul.

in the first place we should have never went to germany, or no other WC until we had ample amounts of proper youth development programs AND AH STEADY LEAGUE! but instead we had the yearning just to make a WC so we could go and shake our arses BC OF OUR VANITY,

but soon there after we were unable to compete with teams right here in the CFU region bc we have no continuity, so we settled for a one shot deal just to say we were there!  how facking retarded!

that's bc the next crop on the local scene was inadequate and unable to contend with the easiest of opponents like bermuda and grenada.

Right now my only hope is that hart and beenie hooks up with this numb skull skeene and anil to solve this pro league problem so we could compete competently instead of embarrassing our nation in central america and the USA.

right now i have to respect all the teams you mentioned, simply bc they are doing and have BEEN doing right by their football domestic and international.

of all the teams you mentioned, we are the only nation where our local league is under a different administration other than our national federation or football body, and to add insult, they don't work in tandem for the better good of our football, but rather clash heads on the regular.

we are also the only nation, with the exception of jamaica, who are without a professional football union! so why are we having this discussion about hating on england and USA who have their sh!t totally together,  when we should be hating on our federation and our football fraternity instead.

that's why i said it was an idiot thread.                     :beermug:

i remember my very first tugs was ah addidas rubber ducky my dad gave me, a thirteen pegger, and although it was five sizes bigger than my feet i cherished that tugs like ah golden boot.

does anyone remember their first tugs? and don't tell me allyuh had a six pegger out the box, bc it was very expensive and very few parents would oblige $$.    :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

What channel is this game on??

Fox
Nah, fox was showing a champions league replay with manU and real madrid, plus on the TV guide it had the game schedule for 10 pm.

my telli was on FSC all evening so i know for sure the USA game did not air on FSC, @ least not in brooklyn.

I think he mean Fox channel 5 here in Brooklyn...
Oh well, i guess i eh miss nothing, since i fackin hate USA and mexico. hope panama and honduras or costa rica or put ah drobbing in the two ah dem.

45
Cyrus for me, then jan micheal was ah close second.

kenwyne jones was boss, jovin jones was also spectacular, too bad he got injured.  hope some top league picks him up, he doesn't deserve to play in that bush league they callin a pro league in trinidad.

In our last WCQ campaign Otto Pfister had him playing as a left-back.

The wagon train!!

don't mean to make this a negative thread moments before the big game, but i'm compelled to do this just before bc i know if we lose this game which is highly likely, nuff members will be vomiting their guts out and laying blame on the players the staff and the federation.

i see it have nuff faces who for ah long time has not been on the board and they feel like the have all right to dog and insult members who was in the mix right through, ah even hear ah man say that i had no life bc i was on the board right through with 7000 plus post.  :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

these members are the ones who expect most from the team and when we under achieve they say that we're not good enough. go figure.

these are the same members when we were kicked out of the world cup by guyana never bothered to show their face to support the team or the site by supporting the thread for the caribbean cup games in st kitts, tobago and antigua for the degicel cup final round, as ah matter of fact there were only ah handful of members who visited the chat room and the site during games keeping the vibes alive.

it's only after we qualified for the gold cup, and as late as last month did we get some members back in the mix, but after the el salvador game, here comes the train again.

i just hope that the team gets the support from the members win or lose! we came from far, with no money and very little help from the ministry! the boys gave their all and i couldn't ask for anything more.

allyuh must remember that this mexican team has about six Olympic players on board, and the rest who ply their trade in the mexican league, so they will force errors and disrupt our defense and more than likely take their chances well, and it will take a gallant effort to get pass them, so lets not get carried away or dog the players post game, shall we.

Football / Re: All aboard!!!

Hey this nah, JC...believe it or not, someone's status as a true Soca Warrior supporter isn't tied to their necessarily being registered on this site.  Ah mean, this is indeed a great forum, but I know die-hard supporters who do not use the man's internet, and they barely know this site exist.  People like me been following Trini football at all levels since before the Strike Squad days when I was a teen...but, i'm not really de 'posting' on de internet kinda' person during games where I'm not there in person...or during those periods when we have no games.

I know there's a lot of truth to what you're saying, because it have real true wagonists out there who only jump on the bandwagon at certain times, then they disappear soon after.  But my main point is that you cannot put everyone in that category just because they 'barely' post on this forum.  I'll venture to say that most of the die-hards out there not registered on this site or any other site.  Most people are just not the social-media-posting-constant-updates-like Twitter & Facebook kinda' people.  To each their own, breda.

Btw, I love this forum, but I personally don't always post on here, though I mostly prefer to read through the various comments (EVEN when we have no games and no competitions etc).  The comments are real kicks and entertaining and makes my day go faster.  And I mean that in a good way...no sarcasm.    :beermug:
Breds i was referring to forum members, not the T&T football fraternity.

i would think when i started this thread that i wouldn't have to turn around and explain what i meant or what my intentions were. i'd also have to be the farmers jacka$$ to think that if you're not a member of the SWO you're not a true fan, ah mean this is elementary guys, why even go there?  :frustrated:

as for the members whom i was referring to, you wasn't here when they was holding others to the same standard, you wasn't here when they welcomed ppl with impunity, you wasn't here when they all ganged up on me bc i had a difference of opinion.

in case you don't know it have some real fack up fellas on here who for the most part are extremely impolite and rude, and i catch it wid nuff ah dem for the short time i'm here, and had to put nuff ah dem in their place.

there are quite a few fellas on this site who cares nothing for me, and would love nothing better than to see me 86th from the site. but fack dem i will still buss my talk, and if they don't like it, then they could lay down by it!    too fackin bad.

my point is, the team rebuilding, and we should not have unrealistic expectations only bc we want to go to work and bragg to our central american and jamaican friends/coworkers that we are better than them, and when the lads fail them they cuss out the team and management and gone runnin back to barca and milan again to hide out under pretty football and glory hunting, until the team starts doing good again.

as ah T&T fan who following our football since i was ah lil fella, i have never seen anyone who cared for our football, and for the first time since i following this game i have seen a federation president and a coach who have our best interest @ heart.

for the first time in 20 odd yrs i am optimistic about the future of T&T football, bc i love and support T&T football regardless of who in charge and i'm extremely glad that finally a good man has the reins of our football, and the immediate future looks bright.

Allyuh need to ease up this "waggon/waggonist" talk.  Man had good reason to not get emotionally invested in TnT football after the blacklist.  That and some ah allyuh same man was complaining about how dead de forum was.  If people come and bringing life tuh de forum, or finally feeling optimistic about we football... enough to post, then more power to them.
You always have to set the record straight eh??

them same man who yuh defenin was callin ppl wagonist after the WC, so i say what's good for one good for all, and is true!

they stayed away from the board bc we was losing, them is the same men who used to bragg about how we better than jamaica and guatemala them, but when we started losing they couldn't show they face.

like you eh notice that when we came last in the hex ah group ah man stop posting? then when grenada beat we out the gold cup another bunch laid off, and the guyana game was the last straw.

after that heart ache there were only ah few members talkin football. ppl had all kinda cynical slogans in their post and was making little snide remarks to the effect as to say "fack T&T football".

now we begin the rebuilding process and started showing ah little progress, here they come doggin and demanding things of the players with all their high expectations in tow.

i made the thread mainly bc when we lose, these same men does malign the players and the coach, so i make the thread to remind them that mexico is no push over and we should support the team no matter what the out come, bc the team came from far to be where they are today.   so relax yuhself dude.

We have to keep mexico off the score board for @ least 70 mins.

i believe after that they will make errors trying to force to win, and we could counter attack them. damn boy the team look weakened due to suspensions and injury, ah we can run dem like hounds.

why we arguing over Roberts and Edwards...dey cud both start- Molino out, Glen startin...we need ah major spark off d bench...big substitute game fuh Skilla today

JC ah rate yuh opinions but Carlos did cross fuh Latas left foot volley vs usa
I was challenging this bredder who said that carlos was an assist machine.

for all the yrs i watchin carlos which is a lot, i never saw a cross that lead to a goal, i'm not saying that there was none, that would be silly of me to say, but look how far back you have to go.

my point was, if carlos sooo good, then show me the goal fax. ;D

one of carlos weakest areas for me of putting in crosses which always goes awry, he has to be the kind of winger like pennant, putting balls on the strikers feet.

TBH i like carlos in the center of midfield, once he played there under latas tenure and the boy was ah revelation. he didn't put a foot wrong, that's where carlos belongs ultimately.

Buzzing for tomorrow

Good luck to the staff and players... all we want to see is Effort and everyone walking off the field knowing they couldnt give anything more.... Having said that , If we collectively give everything we will walk off that field as winners and into the semi finals

I BELIEVE... but it isnt me wearing the shirt tomorrow...  Dig Deep lads

I would like to see Birchall in for Hyland...I think it is time to unleash the hungry..Boucaud is quality and with both of them being quite mobile and energetic I think we will need both to track any Mexican attacking mids who can move the ball quickly in our 3rd...

I dont think Bleeder has the legs for that job

I would bring back in Power... Abu Bakr to me is shakey and covering ground is not his strong point..

Best side! Jus Cool talking tata as usual. Roberts can't compare to Carlos... Period.
Elaborate oh great guru.  :notworthy:
1. I never see darryl make a descent cross yet. Carlos does that in his sleep. Service! Just what we need for one of KJ's headers.
2. Individual skill. Roberts cah tun up anybody when in a difficult spot. We need a creator like Edwards.
3. Darryl's finishing has been atrocious in every game so far, painful to watch.
I'm not a guru but I'm also not blind...

(1) i guess you didn't watch the last game or the game before, and ah guess you just start watching carlos. show me one cross that carlos put in over the yrs as a winger for the warriors that resulted in a goal, just fackin one!! bring his stats! im waiting.   :waiting:

and there are other aspects to being a winger than crossing the ball willy nilly. a winger also put ground passes in the box and roberts has done loads of that, but since no goals was scored bc of it then it doesn't count in the eyes of the instant gratificationalist dem.

for all the yrs carlos was with sunderland he never assist on a cross ball to kenwyne or anyone else for that matter, that's why jordan henderson took his place on the right wing. service my balls!

(2)Edwards a creator, don't make me laugh my guts out.   :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:  and all this talk bout turning up players, the point of being a winger is to create chances, look @ evans wise and tinto, they have moves to lend ronaldo, but their assist rate is atrocious. roberts is not ah right winger but rather an attacking mid and an all out striker.

if you ask me, i don't even like him there, but he does not only play on the flanks all the time, sometimes he come in the middle to pair up with KJ, that's why he got those two shots on goal vs vs haiti, but if you were watching the game from a tactical stand point you would see that.

(3) and kenwynes was delightful wasn't he? im sure if roberts had three of the four chances KJ blew he would have @ least converted one. to show how fickle you guys are, had we lost that game on monday no one would ever want to see KJ back in the national colors, the same way allyuh was dogging him before the gold cup.

don't get me wrong, i like carlos, but in the center of midfield, or on the left flank, bc he helps out the weaker side in defense and he puts in less meaningless crosses, and makes more meaningful passes on the ground level that stands a better chances of getting inthe back of the net and not being intercepted and headed away.  but i'm just a football dunce, what do i know.
