Eh ATB FYI the only thing that kept T&T in the running all these yrs was pure luck and raw talent.

if yuh look closely the game has eluded us and went past us, and we did not catch up with the times. the time for intercol and SSFL academies is over!

the bar must be raised and the standard must make leaps and bounds. yuh ever wonder why the top six teams in concacaf are always consistent?

mexico, USA coata rica honduras panama (new stalwart in concacaf) el salvador are always in contention, and right now we have haiti on our heels bc most their players are developed in france. that's bc they all have youth development and they rely not on some high school league to develop players.

if T&T is to develop beyond the dirt poor standard we are stuck in now, we must advance to academy development centers and a proper league with proper facilities, and fan base. and i hope timkee skeene/romany and stephen hart could all work in tandem with each other to bring about this advancement.

After watching TNT vs Haiti I had to post this song in tribute to the national team, the ship has sunk. That was by far the worst performance to date and a very shameful performance.

I am sure after the 2-2 draw with El Salvador many bandwagonist came back in support of the soccer team but after last night's performance the line was drawn.

I love my soccer but Trinidad's soccer is just not attractive to watch, plain awful at times. I wonder if we play Tahiti who will win.

Carlos is meh boy and bleeder are two senior players but their time is up. The sad thing is that there are no players who can replace them with their experience. This is a shame.

How do you play two attackers who are so similar and stationary, there was no one to put the defenders under any pressure by making runs off the ball.

There was no creativity or imagination, not just in the last third, the whole pitch for TNT. I saw the El Salvador/Guatemala game and the creativity and imagination of the two teams were amazing, the midfielders would actually thread balls through knowing the attackers would be on the same page to make those runs, very nice indeed.

I have noticed that TNT players do not dribble anymore, even within the confines of team ball. This is shocking.

Our overall pace of game is too slow for elite soccer. As they is say in Trini - today for tomorrow.

I have not solutions for the team, just speechless. Where do we go next. How do we as a nation turn soccer around to get on the world's stage

Overall, F. The only way we can go is to fail forward

COSIGN.   One of the most sensible posts related to our brand of football.  The only team that T&T might be better than in this tournament is Belize.

Look at my "number of posts" and say what yuh want.... I know I have watched enough football to have an opinion --  ATB well said sah!

It is EXTREMELY hard to watch our NATIONAL team, play such vanilla football.  The lack of movement off the ball, no desire to win the ball back, the lack of trust between players and ultimately the lack of mental and physical fitness... is alarming especially for a NATIONAL team.

You telling me that can't find 2 wingers that could run at a outside back with pace? .... or a striker that knows how to create space for himself, so that the ball can find him?

could go on and on but... STEUPSS

Maxg ... that 1st post? ... STEUPSS  (especially for ah "HERO" Warrior)

Yes we have three, lester peltier, cordel cato and kendell jaageosing, but they were not included.

Well allyuh stop watchin!! that's all. problem solved.

this is not news, it's been yrs we've been struggling, we went all the way to germany and failed to score one fackin goal, we missed out on south africa when we finish last in the hex, and miss out completely on 2014 in brazil.

the bottom line is either yuh supporting or not. if is pretty football alyuh looking for so allyuh could go back and bragg too allyuh yardie and central american friends then tough sh!t, go watch arsenal and barca!

i not in this for results, iza T&T fan win lose or draw! i have no problem in saying that we are not good enough ..........yet.......but i'm optimistic bout the future. we have a good coach and a great federation president, soo for me the future looks bright regardless of who qualify for what when and why.

Truth be told, I think that even St. Kitts, Grenada, or even the Belize who showed up against Costa Rica yesterday would've defeated the Soca Non-Warriors on Friday.

There was a time in T&T football when we were attack minded.  A time when a fella would put down real beats on defenders, and find his way into the penalty box, and square the ball in front of the goal for 3-4 T&T attackers storming de penalty area.

Yeah, we may have still lost the game, but we would play DESERVING of the title 'WARRIORS'.

Now we play like pussy cats.  :-[

Just my $.02
I'll be waiting after the game to hear allyuh waggonist change allyuh tune about how great we was after we win tonight, and how we winning the whole thing, stay tuned.

Feeling this :

GK
J.Jones
Mitchell
Power
Carlos
Daniel
Hyland
Boucaud
Birchall
Glenn
KJ

Birchall as an auxiliary right winger.. can tuck in and make up extra numbers in the mid and allow Carlos the channel to attack..

better cover too when Carlos gets caught out , Birch can get back and cover well

We need warriors out there today
decent lineup  :beermug:
Really, birchall??

I know too many of yuhs don;'t like darryl, but did any of yuhs go over the game to see how many vital possessions this guy had?? yuh know what does kill allyuh bout this guy, he don't over work or hold on to the ball to long, he plays one touch football and get into paces.

i've seen glenn, cater, jorslin and this jamal gay fella play in many 90 mins situation without getting one shot on target or getting into scoring position, or even laying off a potential score scoring pass.

110 mins i saw of darrly in this tourney he manged to have five chances @ goal and as a winger, something only KJ replicates, yet they want to sub him off for birchal who brings very little going forward.

stephen hart says for the next game he needs possession and penetration, something birchall don't do too well. don't get me wrong birchall has a place on the team, but not as ah starter and definitely not as ah winger.

@ best he's ah clean up midfielder and we already have hyland in that position, but we need creative players going forward, so why not put molino on the left wing and roberts on the right, actually roberts plays sort of a roaming midfielder who's assigned to the right side, @ least that's how he played in the last two games.

here's my eleven.

                                                    KJ
                    molino                                                          roberts

                                                      keon
                                        hyland                    boucard

                 jj/cyrus             power              mitchell                       carlos

                                                 jan williams

just look @ this ckick, i sure she has kids and is @ least 35, but she still look saucy and sexy. yankee gyul on the other hand, once they past ah certain age is hio pancho.

Mr wonder, i wonder if you know that T&T football, especially the senior program is in a rebuilding phase??

yuh must be realistic in your expectations, and the sad reality is that we don't have the quality to compete with the best in concacaf @ the moment, hek, we barely made it to the goal cup and only managed two goals from open play in the whole digicel tournament.

right now it have man who barely wants to play for the national team bc of how they were treated in the past. to besides, we almost didn't make it here, but now that we are here, lets not expect to much.

on another note, no one comes to lose except they are being paid too, the lads was out foxed and out played, it's as simple as that, and i doubt that was their intentions in the first place, so lets move on and hope that the boys get ah result tonight,

if not then there's tons of room for improvement, and leaving this tourney early is not the end of the world since we've seen worst under austin jack warner's tenure.  be patient, rome was not build in an hour.

BTW FF, that boy marvin has rarely come through for us in the clutch, and IMO, he does concede some real savable goals as opposed to jan who does collect some real heart break goals.

he's bad on corners and set pieces, and lacks confidence. i used to like him as ah promising keeper when he played for connection, but watching him in the hex of 2009 and ah few games under maturana and latas, and even with Pfister in those WCQ, he ate some soft asre goals.

i like jan micheal, i think he's clutch, he commands his defense better than any other keeper to date, and has a better record than marvin in must win games, i think marvin will sink us if he starts tomorrow!

PS:  Mr hart if yuh listening, remember that bicycle kick that the salvadorian zelaya tried on jan that he saved, remember it was save of the week? well had it been marvin it would have been goal of the week! maybe even the tournament.  ;)

don't bounce yuh head with that boy if jan micheal is fit and ready to play.  you've been warned, no time for experimentation, this is war, and marvin is ah security guard not ah soldier! stick with jan micheal if yuh only know what good for yuh.

The ligue 1 players are Desmarest, Jeff louis( who fired the first shot that lead to the goal), Kervin belfort-fils, Jean Jacques Pierre and Jean Sony Alcenat. Jean Eudes Maurice is a second division player. The ones playing in France are Jeff louis, Belfort and Maurice
Breads when i say league one, i don't mean english league one, what i meant was the french top flight league, as they say in french, league uhn.

Th no disrespect but your players they could be in France or Timbuktu Haiti is not a formidable TnT make Haiti look good the other night. They are an ok amateur team at best and we the worst for putting on an awful showing.
Saying all that Haiti likely to move on and if we continue to drop tata on the field the only place we going is to the latrine cause we eh seeing Gold Cup is  sheetcup fust we 4cup
Yuh real outa timin boy!!!

stop talk if yuh eh have nothing positive to add to the discourse nah, yuh embarrassing man!!

FYI haiti is ah top team, and they played all over honduras, it's just that they threw away a lot, which by some stroke of luck let us off the hook bc we don't have to face a honduran team that chasing a win.

haiti is the best team in the group by a country mile, while honduras is the luckiest.

Monday was a bad game for Carter. But I've seen him in many good ones including against really good opposition like Peru and Romania.
I'm not saying that he is a terrific footballer. But, in the right conditions, he can be really dangerous. Never from the start for me though because they will catch on to his limitations. Just in short bursts off the bench.
Breds, i know yuhs ah sports writer and yuh might know more about the game than me, i'll give you that, but no body can't sell me carter until he reinvents himself, and @ 28 i think that it might be ah little too late for him.

i also saw the romania and especially the peru game where cater was running into traffic and losing possession constantly. bottom line, the kid is ah speed ball @ best, he has no smarts, no dribbling skills and no legs, just ah ton of speed.

as stephen hart said in the post match report, we will not win if we can't penetrate! i'm glad he figured that out, goes to show how many tapes he actually watched of these losers, bc i coulda told him that.

right now, from where i stand i would make two midfield change, boucard for theobald and roberts for daniel in the middle and bring in cornell glenn on the right wing. if carlos replaces hoyte on the wing, which he most likely will, then molino would play on the left side with daniel cyrus (that's providing jovin jones is out for the next game).

kevon cater is one of the players yuh bring along to fill in the numbers for the practice sessions and regional tourneys like degicel cup prelims, but not @ this level.

him jorslin, gay and leon are regional players @ best, and surplus to requirement @ this level. i'd rather see tinto in his stead.   sorry.

For all the ppl who believe that we could have gotten anything from that haiti game must be smoking hard weed and drinking moonshine.

playing haiti in miami of all places which have more haitian than in haiti itself was ah game to chalk up to a loss, if is any game we had to write off, that was the game self.

the haitians had about seven players who plays in france and about 4 in league one alone, and for teams like san germaine and nance, ah mean what allyuh expect?? we played against ah tip top team and the boy who score on us plays for PSG, come on folks we are in the drivers seat here now.

honduras brought a young team to the gold cup, and they are going to rest some of their better players knowing they have already qualified. another plus is the fact that el salvador have just one point same as us, and haiti knows that they have not qualified as of yet, so ah draw or a win for haiti puts us in the drivers seat, even a win for el salvador (which i seriously doubt) will still leave us with a chance.

we need to win this game tomorrow God willing, and win convincingly, and we have the players to do it! bleeder out!

Check dem facts. They have no players in Ligue 1 and only four players play in France's lower leagues. They do however have four players that play in top tier leagues in Portugal, Switzerland, Romania and Ireland.

Well during the game they said that maurice plays fro PSG while alcanat plays for nancy who just go relegated, @ least that's what the commentators has been saying and i believe they sat st prioux and louis also plays in league one as well, so i guess i'm just quuotsing them, just go back and watch a replay of game you'll see.

109
Thanks Cocorite ;D
Yeah, there was a touch of humour in there. But that was just to take the edge off... I want Trinidad and Tobago to do well!
I think you will have to scratch reason #5.

you had to be there to see carter on monday, and if you were then you weren't paying close attention, BC that boy have no kinda penetration skills and readable like an ABC reader.

hart says he opting for penetration next game, and with that said i don't think carter would be an option.

Listen, yuh point taken.. but open yuh eyes and try and understand what I saying...  Fitball is about movement and support.. look at Barcelona and yuh will understand d dynamics more.  Look at Busquets for example.  I not saying yuh could compare d two, but if you were to zoom in on his game, you would realize that he is maybe one of the best one and two touch players in the game, adding to which, his passes are hardly ever majorly penetrative...  However, he is certain to take the ball from the defense and serve it to his wingers, Iniesta or sometimes right back to Pique.... We always in desperate situations, so we always looking for our midfielder (regardless of if he defensive or not) and expect him to find d strikers all d time.  We so hellbent on d issue dat Bleeder don't go forward, dat when he actually do, we dont even see it... mainly because we counting his lateral passes or back passes..  I done argue with all yuh, because at d end of d day, if all ah we was to try out for ah team now, nobody eh starting in front ah me in d midfield, and I not boasting or bragging, I just confident of this based on all yuh constant ignorance
kiffy the man need ah rest now, lets try someone else nah, give boucard ah try now.

denzil maintains possession most of the times but he offers very little in the attacking third and quite often slows down the play on counter attacks when we supposed to be going forward and forcing errors.

let bleeder ride some pine in the next encounter. lets allow hyland to work with ah different midfielder, and allow bleeder to come off the bench and close out games when we need a player to maintain possession, instead of being a staple on the team.

another thing our defender are guilty of is defending facing the ball in stead of facing the players.

I suspect many of you who are blaming Jan for the loss to Haiti never played goalkeeper(as no one really wants to be a goalkeeper coming up as a youngster). When I saw the first goal I definitely thought Jan should have parried wide...but then again when a keeper is under that kind of pressure, just blocking that bullet is a feat in and of itself. TnT's defense sucks so lets not scapegoat Jan. If a team has to rely on their goalkeeper to save them then it's already too late for them.

Is two games now Jan sucking ass.  He absolutely needed to push that shot wide... I doh care who play goalkeeper from who didn't, he do shit den lie down on de field like ah crapaud without trying to get back up for the rebound.
What if i say power or a midfielder was suppose to be marking this man, the shot came in and the man just ran right up and got the rebound with no one on him, and to add insult this man was left free in the box again to hurt us, what about puttin a tail on this man like they had a tail on KJ all game??

same sh!t happened in guyana, leon cort was left alone and unmarked on a corbon copy play, free as a bird on the box, now this is atrocious defending! and we have to address that.

we have to know where our markers are @ all times, the big picture is, our midfield and defenders are not fit!! which results in losing their markers and forced errors which further leads to conceding.

How ?

3 groups and 3 teams going home and 9 teams progressing, right ?

And T&T need to win because Cuba, Canada and Belize have 0 points but they can still get 3.

I hope de guys just focus on winning, forget  scenario.

:beermug:
How you beer mugging that??

sando there are twelve teams, and the top two of each group go through with the two best third place teams, which means there would be eight teams in the QF. so four teams would be going home in total.

as of now four teams has already qualified, panama, USA, costa rica and honduras, in about an hour we would have five teams.  teams that are out for sure is canada and possibly belize who needs to beat cuba badly bc they are 6 goals in the negative.

teams still in contention for a spot is haiti, el salvador, cuba, T&T, belize, mexico and martinique, and of these seven teams four would be goin though.

so it's 8 teams, the best six, two of each group and the two best third place.....capice??     ;)

Florida, is the place tuh get away with murder! He money will run out soon enough, lets see what he does for security after that!  He showed no remorse about taking a life!

Young black people need tuh wise up in this country, and stop worshipping the thug life and trying tuh imitate and worship these entertainers who contributing nothing positive to this world. But making money off their ignorance and need for material things. Wake the hell up and start respecting yourselves/each other, educate yourself and start contributing something meaningful to this life.

Very noble gesture, but easier said than done.

i believe most progressive black ppl wishes and hopes for the same, but the dynamic that fuels this behavior is harder to kill than trichinosis.

no disrespect to black women, but they are the ones raising these failing young ppl, and until the black woman stands up and claim responsibility and make better decisions as to the men they chose to pro create with then this will not go away any time soon.

they are the ones with the power to chose, not the man, ah man pursues and a woman accepts or rejects 95% of the time, in other words she wields the sword in most cases.

i am not exonerating the black man or his role in this debacle, he has been extremely negligent and half arse throughout our sojourn especially here in the african diaspora, but he could never stand a shot @ father hood if the woman did not willingly open her legs and allow him to buss up in her even if she thought the guy was all that and more.

women are the ones who are struck with the babies, they are the ones who have to raise the kids, and i believe if they had any smarts they would chose wisely who they allow to sex them up raw especially in a day with more contraceptives than ever.

i could understand if ah man is worthless but ah broad is intrigued and still wants to have sex, even raw sex with the critter, but protect your self and get on the pill, bc yuh done know that this man is bad news and is not family raring material, and if you show up prenant he will not stick around or provide proper guidance for your children.

raising productive young ppl is not rocket science, there needs to be two willing participants who would die first before leaving their off springs to run wild, free and unbridled, regardless of the relationship, whether they stay together or are separated, they must work together to keep their kids in line.

black women need to up the ante and stop letting scrubs breed them for crying out loud! but then again most of these black women are themselves scrubs, and yuh done know scrub on scrub = scrubs in the making.

That judge Nelsen wanted a guilty verdict bad but jury jumbie that move.

Giggsy good point - thug life lead to thug death.

Ah see jesse jackson counselling restraint. He know what kind of irrational dunces are in his flock.

I have been noticing your comments for a while now, a combination of all your comments just solidifies that you is a f*cking racist.
