thats a good idea yuh know...it will also improve the academics of players as they will be disciplined in the classroom and it will filter out on the field...but the authorits have to do a good job in improving the standard of play...it will help the pro league also...by keeping some of our better players home and playing more often than players who come to the US colleges and only play during the season...but good idea though

God bless my country.....wow....we deserve better....but say what we are the most happiest team in germany.....but someone plesase send ah S.O.S to beenie please let stern play of the bench...glen and kenwyne jones should be our starting forwards....those guy bring lots of energy and work rate in our team.....defense starts with the forwards....stern john is walking on our field...what else do we need to do to stern for him to give us a pong...he creates nothing and he is not really contributing....this is not a controvercial statement .....just an observation....vibes it up TNT.

Football / Re: Bleeder is dead weight
« on: June 01, 2006, 12:07:08 PM »

bleeder is no dead weight. man work hard for his spot on the national team and deserves the right to be there.

ppl forget that trinidad and tobago played a playoff game to reach to the world cup we did not qualify like th rest of teams (most of them)  so we are playing as best as we can and i love it.

as we loose a game as usual ppl want to point fingers at someone and when we win everyone want to be  a supporter.

each player on the team deserves to be there and we need to play as a team. not to win the world cup, but to represent trinidad and tobago. the people, the culture and the footballing talent on the island. so the future youth can gain and football can grow in this country..

With that said it still does'nt discount the fact that 99.9% of supporters believe he's ineffective, slow, timid, unimaginative, and last but not least during the gold cup I believe it was, in the orange bowl in miami I sat next to some ex-nationals won't call names and they said he was about most unsteady, untalented baller they had ever seen...........
where yuh get them stats from .....and what them ex-nationals doing to contribute or help the development of football in we country......everybody have something to say...but theobald going the world cup and they have to deal with that....

dont worry the world cup is just around the corner and we will see all the die hards..when a team loses its 11 players that lose when a team wins one man alone dont share in the joy its the entire team...some men just need to realx and give the team the benefit of the doubt...ah mean lots of you posters play football before right? so allyuh know that when yuh on the field when to be serious and when to have fun...we are in the world cup you guys honestly allyuh think that the guys playing badly just for so...come on man...he is one of we die hard young payers in we country..i know him well he will do anything to represent the country and he knows that if he plays badly he have to step up or he will be on the bench...he must be doing something right to be starting.....vibes it up TnT........

noreiga came of the bench last night...he came on in the 89 min..for a  midfielder and the coach put him to play in a center back position as they were leading 1 nil at the time..from what i was listening the commentators said he played well in his first game and they also spoke about him being strong in the air..as he was involved in some ball winning challenges in the air.....

Football / Re: Corneal concerned about timing [of squad selection]
« on: April 17, 2006, 05:04:09 PM »
Let me try to address the article in a proper manner. First thing first.....

Osei Telesford

Osei is a very good defender. Very composed, aggressive and full of youth and enthusiasm. I would not be bold enough to say that he is one of the better defenders if matched up with our local defenders. There are many solid local defenders in Trinidad and Tobago. Osei also lacks experience and exposure. Therefore, I would not put him in front of Brent, Tony or Atiba Charles. These players are experienced defenders (season professionals). Osei is a school boy. I think if he continues good form he should be used as soon as the World Cup is completed; Building process for 2010. As of right now, he should be out of the picture.
i agree  totally......
On a different none, Osei was brought up under Corneal during his football career. Him and Darryl Roberts. This might be the main reason why he (Corneal) made that statement about Osei. I mean, thinking about it, they saw Osei play over the Christmas break, 1 week while in camp under Bennie man and maybe while at Liberty. Would that have been good enough time to day that he is one of the better defenders in Trinidad and Tobago? Maybe not!!!

Corneal Corneal Corneal.......

I believe that Corneal have the right to state his opinion (as anyone should). The article may be fraud in some ways (Maybe). The reason why i said that is because there is no direct quotation of Corneal saying anything. The article is totally paraphrased so there might be some false information or misleading statements. Nevertheless, putting that aside, I believe that an influencial personell in TT football should not come out in public and disagree with the head of the senior team (or head of any other team for that matter). It is not a good sign of respect and moral/physical support. Yes, there would be times when you would disagree but the manner in which Corneal did it is not professional. I also believe that what Alvin said is a reflection of the sentiments shared by his father Anton. They both think that they are god sent individuals to take over Trinidad and Tobago football (possessing an “know it all attitude” and “do what I say not as I do” mentality).

I will continue to support Bennie man. Although I am somewhat disappointed in our preparations thus far, I would continue to show Bennie continued support and respect.  I guess there are external factors that can be the cause of that. Bennie has done what no coach in Trinidad has done so far, and as a result, should be given the respect and authority to control the team as he very much like.

I think Corneal should take his father, family etc and go back down to North Carolina and control your youth under 20 team down there. Do not try to take over or continually be a hater to Trinidad and Tobago football and T & T football decisions especially in a time like this. You got your chance, and you and Brian failed. Now let somebody else go at it.

Kingman
