Come on now!!! I mean Cuba close by; yuh have enough Cubans in Miami to have agood sweat; On the flip side we could play the Bahamas. I mean Portugal organized a friendly with Canada.

I mean this is what undermines the validity and the  viability of our organization. How are we ever going to create a sense of purpose, urgency and competitive edge when our management cannot arrange some  games to  assist this team to  develop math readiness?

I mean Haiti is also close by; come now ; ah find dis is real 'slackness' soemboy enjoying the Miami night life and forgetting the goal that we are all about.

It ever occur to yuh dat MAYBE...jes MAYBE...nobody eh want to play we so we takin wha we could get?

Is eedah dat or de TTFF way more incompetent dan we ever imagined.   Canada who rank lower dan we and not in de Hex able to organise matches against quality opposition while we could only get matches against local pickup teams.

When yuh check in de past how much announced "practice matches" get called off for one reason or de nex, yuh realise it cyah be coincidence.

Bruce Arena and the USA are fortunate to be the only national team to have almost the entire squad in training for up to a month before a WCQ game against Mexico.  Not every CONCACAF team,  can get that advantage.


For example, did y'all know that Arena had a full squad of 23 in camp for two weeks prior to them playing Jamaica in Columbus?  The only player that was not there for the full time, but arrived five days before was Brian McBride.   THat's why the USA are bound to qualify, or at least play cohesively, like a club side in WCQs.  Lazaroni had only one full squad session before playing the USA, for 90 minutes on the night before the game. 

T&T could do de same if dey would use Jabloteh players as de core of de National team and de entire Jabloteh technical staff wit Jabloteh administration actin de "TTFF role".

But we all know dat eh happenin.

I tired say......whoever handlin Jabloteh doin a real good job and is NOT because we eh have no talent in T&T.

So if we have talent, Jabloteh playin decent football with a 90% local squad....wha people tink is de difference between de National team and how dey playin and Jabloteh?

To be fair....bear in mind Metro Stars now in pre season trainin.  Dem now start.  Unfamiliar conditions etc.  But I bettin...if we National team dat went Barbados fuh de Digicel Cup play Jabloteh....Jabloteh playin better football...GUARANTEE.  And de national team trainin together fuh over a year so de chemistry lyrics doh apply.  If is anybody should have CHEMISTRY is de National team.

Seeing that the vast majority of our team comprises foreign based players

And dem foreign based playin in Europe fuh de most part

Why we want to disadvantage weself by havin we players playin in de hot sun?

After de Ash Wednesday game dey interview Yorke and he say he did bun after 70 minutes....was too hot.  De other overseas say de heat was a factor.

USA playin dem games 8:00 at night.  Mexico does play dem own at 7:00..same fuh Costa Rica...8:00

So why we didn't play we games same time?

IF...and daz a big IF...we mek Germany....de players not only have to overcome de opposition which is obstacle enough...but some questionable decision makin from we technical staff and advisors too....like arrivin at de hotel in T&T at noon fuh a 3:30 game after travelin from Tobago early in de mornin.

Jes mekkin ting more difficult.

DoDo, Alves and Daniel are all talented but I cannot see them getting into the squad. Adriano is a handful on the ground and in the air, when he improves his right foot he will be truly unstoppable. I say this because I have seen many times he gets into good scoring positions but hesitates because the ball on his right foot.

Just a note for those who saw the game. Boring or what? Lard! I eh see so much long ball since England in the late 70's

DuDu was on de bench in Brasil's last WCQ against Ecuador.

My opinion?

Adriano will never get to Ronaldo's class when Ronaldo was in his prime.

But he will get very close!!!

Adriano is a freak

Big, strong, fast, strong in the air, great close control, powerful shot, and 2 footed although his stronger foot is his left foot.

I first saw Adriano in the Toulon Under 21 Soccer Tournament in France just prior to WC 2002.  I was convinced from then he was going to be the next big thing and I have been eagerly following him ever since.

He hasn't let me down.  I cyah wait to go home and watch de tape.

Observations:

Much more constructive in midfield and attack

Why?  Simple answer.....players.  Nakhid held down the middle.  Latapy roamed.  Nixon was a good complement to Dwarika.  Eve and Rougier had good understanding on the right side of the field and played off of each other.

Nakhid was able to orchestrate things from the middle of the park allowing Latas to do his thing. 

I think we have a better defence individually NOW than at that time.

I also re watched the T&T vs USA game at Hasley Crawford Stadium in 2001.

This game was a nothing game played in hot sun.  No Latapy, no Nakhid.  Midfield still looked ok.

So why are we playing so badly now?

Obviously we do not currently have the players of the calibre of a Nakhid, Latapy, Dwarika or Nixon in their prime.

So that means...is not BSC fault eh.

Maybe...maybe not.

Could mean that dem men make BSC look good.

Could mean that now he actually have to COACH he found wanting

Could also mean, dem men so shitty it eh go matter who coachin.

I think its too late for that now the damage has already been done. Alot of ppl were calling for his return from the start. We got rid of so many coaches prematurely. Example Renee Simoes and now we r stuck with BSC. I'm not saying that he is the best I'm just saying that changing the coach and bring- ing in someone new at this short period would be a disaster.

Check yuhself good.  Yuh say yuhself Bertille is not de best.  Do you think that Bertille can get dis team at least 4th in the Hex?  Think he can avoid finishin last?

If you do....fine.  If you don't, you sayin dat we should jes keep he on purely because he dey so long? 

Is not getting at least 4th disastrous?  If it is...what so different in getting someone new now?

You say time short....that's true.  But we have 9 games left.  The more we wait to make the change...the more we fritter away our chances.

But we just content to leave things because de team go ketch a VAPS and suddenly start playing better.

I saw the Argentina vs Mexico game last evening on Gold Football tv. Mexico played all over a second string Argentina team in the first half, using the wings with great effect.
In the second half Argentina controlled the midfield and Mexico was ball chasing.

I hope Lincoln, etal take note. Dont give them space as they were shooting from outside the box and control the midfield.

We also need to look at their counter attack, quite impressive.

Argentina used most of their Olympic gold winners in this game. Is their a lesson here?

Ah think all a we HOPIN dat dem men organize enough to

1 - Know it had a game between Argentina and Mexico

2 - Arrange to have de game taped it so dey could analyze it

As ah say..we HOPIN so and honestly dese are tings yuh would take fuh granted as is de LEAST yuh would expect of any technical staff.

Of course dis is WE techincal staff......sad to say ah wouldn't be surprised if dem didn't even know bout de game far less tape it fuh analysis purposes.

I would like to hear the rationale for having 5 Trinidadians starting in a Caribbean team when Jamaica has been dominating the CFU for the last 8 - 10 years.

This should be good...

1 - This is a Trini site.  Nutting wrong wit biggin up yuh own.  If yuh doh like it....go on de ReggaeBoyz site make de same post and put as many Jamaican as yuh want.

2 - Jamaica has not been dominating the CFU for the past 8 - 10 years.   In CFU competition in that time period T&T still comes out on top....this year's Digicel Cup notwithstanding.

T&T has won the CFU Tournament in 1996, 1997, 1999, and 2001.

Jamaica beat T&T 2-1 in 1998 and 2000, 2002 & 2003 there was no tournament.

In the past, if the technical staff is interested in a player communication began with that staff and it is up to the player to accept or decline the invitation.
