Right now, all Trini ballers on survival mode. Those with reputation advanced in age. So is trial time.

Correct.

We are back to pre Yorke, Latapy days.

And I talking about when they were playing U12 football with Lara for T&T

These days, the reputation of our players with reputable foreign clubs, generally lower than the white line in the road.

Will be interesting to see if either of these matches actually play

That’s the reality with this administration

I have little to no interest in T&T football these days.  I’m disgusted by, and fed up of the administration of the game in our country.

As a result, I hardly come on this site or make time to check out anything to do with T&T football these days.

That’s not a reflection at all on this site or whether it’s interesting or not.  For me the site is an extremely valuable and much needed resource for everything T&T football and much respect and props go out to Flex, Tallman, and all those involved with keeping it going.  Especially during lean foot all times like these (and the foreseeable future) for our country’s football.

Just my take.

Prepare yourselves for plenty more of this in the years to come

Kudos to the reported 2000 to 2500 fans that allegedly came out to see the game.  Die hard T&T supporters, family and friends
here you go with the gloom and doom, why can't we see this as the beginning of the rebuilding process where we have to get down and dirty in the clean up campaign, why not reserve our judgment for later.

The team had already rebuilt and was having success.

Allyuh puppeteers decide to sabotage the team to use it as dey personal audition stage to try and sell players in the Pro League to make $ fuh deyself.

Now you have the gall to come on here and preach bout rebuilding and patience?

Allyuh must be really feel people dotish in trute.  Your message board name well appropriate.

So how is what you highlighted in bold any different from what has happened in the past?

More accurately, which foreign based T&T players, in your opinon, DO NOT ADD VALUE TO THE TEAM?  And what would you consider to be a non key tournament?

How are you going to form the core of the team with local based players, yet bring in foreign based players for "key tournaments"?

Maybe I should ask, what is your definition of core?

Why we insist to go to people like Gally etc for an opinion. His time has long passed. Time the country move on and move forward. Steupsss

Would Maradona's opinion be rejected because he is from the bygone days.

Yuh realize hardly anybody, including Argentinians, asking Maradona his opinion of this Argentine team even though they were in a desperate position going into their last qualifying match?

They respect Maradona the player for sure. But Maradona the coach?  Eh eh

Latas is a legend as a player.  He is also a coach.  When last you see any article or hear an interview with Latas regarding his opinion on the performances of the senior men's national team?

The very first thing Alvin Jones say after de game is that he hope he get a foreign contract

So he would no longer be local based and therefore could not be a part of the core of the squad.

But we have a endless supply of local based talent on the production line so no scene.

He joined with Charles in calling for coach Dennis Lawrence to build his team from home here in T&T, saying the core of the team should be based here in T&T and only include international players who could add value to it for key tournaments.
Had Kevin Verity adopted that approach, perhaps Gally, Barclay, Tony Douglas, Archibald, Steve David etc would not have been on the 1973 World Cup qualifying squad in Haiti

Matter of fact, Verity definitely would not have been coach and some other deserving, excellent. -and knowledgeable local coach would have been in charge of that squad.

Doh even talk about the 2005/06 soca warriors that went to Germany.  Shabazz or Stuart Charles-Fevrier woulda coach dem to Victory there for sure.

And of course that team would have been without Shaka, Lawrence, Dog, Carlos Edwards, Avery John, Birchall, Yorke, Latas, Stern John, Kenwyne Jones, Evans Wise, etc too

Best T&T player the past 3 games?

Nathan Lewis gets my vote.  Really impressed by him. Reminds me in s few ways of Aurtis "Otis Seaton" Whitley.

Shahdon Winchester has also played really well the past couple games. Hodge did well today also.

Congrats to the Warriors and coaching staff!

Got to give Tallest and his coaching staff credit.  He dropped Molino and Joevin from the starting XI last game and dropped Joevin from the starting XI this game. Molino suspended.  The team is no longer playing hero ball.  Not looking for those 2 and sitting back waiting for them to make something happen on their own.  Now....Tallest had nothing to lose in these last 2 games so he could make those kinds of decisions without any pressure on him.  Still, he did it so kudos to him.

Also...like Tim Howard lorse something.  That was a great shot by Alvin Jones, but I don't think vintage Tim Howard woulda let that shot get past him.

Dem man on Bein sports couldn't even talk after de final whistle.  A man frankomeh trow way he earpiece on LIVE tv yes.  Bocanegra close to tears. Spector in shock

RIP Mr Pantin and condolences to the Pantin family.  I attended Fatima while he was principal.  His son Michael was in my class and his eldest son Bernard was also at Fatima at the same time.

Mr Pantin was many things....educator, sportsman, counselor, benefactor, visionary, mentor to many, family man.  In summary....he was a good man and left a lasting legacy of which he can be very proud.

When I first got to Fatima, I was excited because the school had a rep...especially in sports and I was anxious to play football and cricket to represent the school.

But the year I got to Fatima, Mr Pantin pulled the team out of the then CFL (Colleges Football League) to protest the proliferation of overaged players at other schools.  He fet it was unfair and his sense of integrity made him feel he had to take some sort of tangoible action to demonstrate his feeling on the matter.

It was a heavy price to pay.  But instead of Fatima wallowing in CFL limbo, no intercol and the prestige that accompanied that competition etc.....he developed the House League

The House League comprised of different "houses".  I can't remember them all but there was Archbishop, Corcoran, Craigwell, Stewart are the ones I can remember.  Students were assigned to a particular house on a random basis.  And so we played football...everyone.  It dodn't matter your talent level.

That system however, unearthed some major talent who may have otherwise been lost to the usual set of players that would usually represent the school.     Players like Lester Joseph and Curtis Marcellin...who weren't necessarily known as "footballers" in school became key members of Fatima teams.

Garnet Craig wasn't discovered that way but he too played house football.  After seeing Garnet in action, someone noticed a sports article that gave the scores in the Eastern Football League and a G Craig scoring a goal for Blackpool.  So they inquired if that could possibly be Garnet and lo and behold, it was.  A 17 year old playing among men.

That House League helped to hone the skills of players so that when Fatima decided to rejoin the CFL, and Fatima had to start in the Championship Division (not the 1st Division), we had an extremely strong team.  That year, we won every game in the Championship Division, won A colts, B colts, and U 14.  And I strongly believe that House League had a major role to play in that.

Once promoted to the CFL 1st division, Fatima was a force to be reckoned with for years to come....in large part as a result of that House League and the foundation it set.

So...here's to you Mr Clive Pantin.  Much respect and thank you for all that you've done for us.

Oh.....and one more thing.  Thank you for hiring Ms. Zakour.  I believe at the time she was the first female teaching in an all male school.  I look back now and don't know how she handled the raging hormones of teenage boys at the time...but DAMN!  She was a looker and sexy as hell.  Oh yeah...she taught French too.  ;D

andre sooklal I like your show it's very informative and professionally well done kudos to you dude but there's one set back to your show that is kind of annoying which is the fact that you often refer to the team as trinidad and not Trinidad and Tobago. Not trying to nit pick but even sport commentators make the same mistake when broadcasting the game, and you as a trini needs to set an example and try to change that dre and start using the country's full name trinidad and tobago.

Co sign.....TM weary1969 RIP
