Alvin Corneal aside, the man has a very valid point, our pro- league is in bad need of restructuring and proper planning. Left up to me I would scrap the league for at least a year and start the planning process in building a better league from the ground up.

Fitzy, scrap the ttff? we want a new beginning.
Deeks we need to do that too lol  :beermug:

Anything to make a name for himself he doing.

And proudly flying de T&T UK flag. It confirm that in his Man Uted days if he coulda switch from playing for T&T to play for England he wouldn't jump ship without a second thought.

They can't afford to pay their own workers, u really feel they go pay Yorke? Surely you don't think he doing all this for free and solely out of the goodness of his heart? Wake up nah man.

Pep hinted since October that he may step down, so it is really not all that surprising.
Sad though because Pep's Barca has given us me some of the most spectacular football I have
ever witnessed. Great run!  :applause:

PS Touches don't be surprise if that mad ass organization called Real Madrid eh fire Jose nah. Remember what they do to Del Bosque (the most successful Madrid manager in recent history), they fire the man the day after he win the league. After all he do for that club, delivering two CL itles, two leaue titles, 1 Spanish Super Cup, 1 UEFA Super Cup and a World Club Championship in 4 years. Since that decision they never bounce back.
To me that was the hugest mistake they made...and as u said haven't until recently started looking anything close to that

Watford’s Bennett wants to play for T&T
By Shaun Fuentes (TTFF)

English-born Watford Centre half Dale Bennett is still eager to play for this country after expressing interest prior to its exit from the 2014 World Cup campaign last November. Bennett was among the players ex-head coach Otto Pfister planned on visiting in England in December but T&T’s loss to Guyana put an end to Bennett’s 2014 World Cup qualifying aspirations. But the 22-year-old whose grandmother is Trinidadian is pursuing a T&T passport and is making himself available for national team selection. Bennett captained Watford’s Under 18s before signing a professional contract in 2008. He made his debut as a 71st minute substitute in a 1-0 win over West Ham in the League Cup that year. He has been on loan at Kettering Town and Brentford but is now back at Watford and is their squad for their Championship League fixtures having signed through to 2013. He has 22 appearances for Watford.
That wouldn't make him eligible, would it?
I think it does if i'm not mistaken

Its interesting to note the contrast in philosophies between Nakhid and Fenwick, obviously I think some biases play a part as well, but both football men seem to have seen the game in completely different lights.

Congratulations to Real Madrid and their supporters on an excellent victory at the Nou Camp. A special commendation goes out to Cristiano Ronaldo on a fine performance.
Ozil was my man of the match.
I find that man so underrated it eh funny. Big playerr Mezut Ozil

Mourinho's continuous use of Coentrao instead of Marcelo in the UCL has me confused... In the first game against Apoel, the game only turned for the better when Marcelo and Kaka were brought in simultaneously... And last night again Coentrao was at fault on Bayern's second goal.
The running argument is that Coentrao more solid defensively and Marcelo is a more attacking option. Having said that I was puzzled as to why Marcelo come on for Ozil instead of Kaka. As some others said, we not designed to sit back on a lead. Madrid is an attacking force and should not be made to sit deep. Run up the score if possible!!

Football / Re: Who is better? Messi versus Ronaldo...The stats!
« on: April 15, 2012, 10:04:41 AM »
The two best players in the game today...period. All this talk bout who better is subjective in my opinion. Most will say Messi cuz Messi has been on the winning team in recent years but say what you will, Cronaldo is just as important for his team as Messi is, and nobody in any other league impacts their team like they both do. Messi has the numbers, and youth on his side, but I think that there is also something to be said for  being able to be effective and dominant in multiple teams and leagues as well.

Football / Re: Best local coach we currently have.
« on: April 04, 2012, 09:59:45 AM »
Are Fenwick and Fevrier local coaches? I know they have coached locally for a long time but as far as I know they are British and St Lucian and came as big men and would not have the sense of history and endogenous knowlege which would have been passed on from our great players in our history!
Are they naturalised citizens? I don't know but I think they can be valuable in our rebuilding process and we should use the best talent we have available locally!
U looking for a coach or a history teacher? I take local coach to mean has been coaching in t&t for some time, and they both fit the bill. We need somebody who could really get into them fellas head and get them to play for the shirt, like how mourinho does it. Thats why there is that emotional bond in his teams, which in turn plays out on the field. Each man is playing for the other. Idk which one of our coaches can do that though.

Football / Re: Fevrier wants better marketed Pro League
« on: April 03, 2012, 09:36:30 PM »
I understand that money is needed eh, but to be honest, there is very little effort in my eyes, being made to even remotely attract the fans...the Pro League needs not just a proper marketing plan, but a proper business plan as well. In depth SWOT analysis etc. I know some will say men doing it for the love of the game, but at some point that just isn't enough, especially when we talking about money.
