Regarding Ames and Klement the fact that they have citizenship in other countries doesn't necessarilly mean that they've turned their back on TT.

They have  made PROFESSIONAL decisions.

So that their careers don't get FUC^%&.

Yes, Ames has to be politically correct in Canada.

As a Can. citizen myself, I know of many immigrants who are very grateful to Canada for giving them certain opportunitties. They love and respect Canada for this but that doesn't mean they've forgotten where they've come from.

Then u have the other immigrants who use the country and diss it every chance they get...but of course they won't leave.

I don't know Klement personally but if he chose America,it doesnt' mean he doesn't love TT.

It means he has certified perhaps further greatness for himself professionally.

Neal Dasilva once said get ur citizenship in N. America or the UK and win your medals, forget about TT, because you will have minimum support and get nowhere. Is Dasilva not a Trini?

Yes,

I think that some have misunderstood WHY the criticism of Stern.

But perhaps Stern put it in perspective himself.

He no longer gets the service from mdfld that he's used to, so instead of loafing and waiting, now he is MAKING things happen.

Look at Dwight Yorke, say what u want, when Yorke puts on a TT jersey, if he's playing up front and not getting the service he wants, he hauls ass in the back to help out and then runs up again.

Fellas I'm doing an article right now, and a lot of it has to do with the N. zone intercol final 1979 - between JD Tech. and Fatima.

JD wond the first game but becz an extra 10 minutes was played in the first half...Fatima's principal complained and there was a 3-3 draw in the rematch.

Fatima won the third encounter at the QPO.

Graeme Rodriguez spoke to me about the game...he said a lot of ppl. were really against Fatima at the rematch. They thought JD had gotten screwed becz Fatima was a prestige school and JD wasn't.

Apparently the Fatima crew received a lot of threats at the game, and Graeme thought it was good thing they drew becz the crowd might have taken out their frustrations on them.

For those of you who were around at the time and saw these trilogy of games what are your thoughts.

I was a young boy then and I saw the 3rd game. Didn't know much abt. Intercol but backed JD becz everybody else was backing Fatima in my neighbourhood and I usually like an underdog.

Ahem....

If I am selected I would prefer not to play up front...as this would mitigate from naturaly defensive abilities...

I would also prefer to travel business class and if coming from Asia, then First Class.

I think a bonus for shut outs in a winning game should also be considered.

I believe in eating plenty doubles b4 a game and I would hope that the smell of barra in de dressing room would not be a put off to others...please bear in mind the extra energy boost of doubles just b4 a game.

I doh want no man with Rass sitting next to me when I eat my doubles...becz although I respect ALL individuals regardless of creed or race...I doh want no hair to fall in my doubles... that would serously upset me and throw me off my game.

In conclusion doh ask me to share my doubles...buy your own..

Go on the Voyaeurs site and give dem nuff play by play of Trinis playing for clubs around the world.

Make sure to pick a team where dey have a Can. too, so they cant feel too bad.

RF use to try dat shit long time..always posting news about Jcans who do well. just to indirectly shit us up...of course no Jcan said anything...so I went on the RF site and started posting about Latas and Yorke...well enough man jump on dat.

De man like play by play...go on his site and give him some play by play...:-)

Richard G is one of the original poster on the forum.

He's also a boss GK for TT from U-14 to the Sr. team.

He buss some lyrics on JW in a letter to the press some years ago and then we didn't see him.

However, he's been playing on and off the last two years.

He strong solid GK who should be considered. If they don't look at him in a training camp, I'll be dissappointed or them home based fellas must be real good.

Should be fighting up a place with Jack as GK number 3 and as Jack injured, should get a look see.

Like this is a popularity contest.  How much do you guys really know about T&T football?  What makes Dwight the best?  At his age no one wants him in England, he was refused by Wolves a champioship club and Tranmere, who happens to be two division below the Premiership.  This guy had two good seasons in England, made as much as 65,000 pounds a week and is now being run out of England for a little over 500,000 a year.  During his spell as a T&T international he has never dominated or been real creative as a player.  So, what's makes him the best, the standard seems to be very low.  If this is based on popurality, then Russel is the man.  He was more consistent, had a bigger impact, and is getting ready to close off his playing career in style and beging a new one as a coach. 

Two good seasons??

So those years with Villa, he didn't have good seasons.
So what Man U pick him based on MEDIOCRE seasons.

He score more than 20 goals in a season how...with a POOR season.

Abu Bakr Jr. is aight, he good at d SSFL level but at d U20 qualifiers in USA vs USA his speed or lack thereof was detrimental to our team...dis aint u14 when u cud have d luxury of slow defenders. Dey said d US U20 coach called over Adu and was point to Abu Bakr Jr. as if saying take it to him and dey say Adu was running pass him like a full bus......Ah tink we could make ah next team from fellas playing college ball in D US. Although they may not be able to come upon request because that could jeapordise their scholarship but these players should not be forgottenbcuz there is alot of talented ballers playing NCAA and NAIA football....Past stars of SSFL like Julius James, Steve Sealy,Osei Telesford,Ateba McKnight,Anthony Noriega,Dean Logan,Sheron Manswell, Kyle Cupid,Kevin Norman, Jeremy Del Pino, Keiron Benito....Remember Scott Sealy got called while at university so these players should be given an incentive as plenty of dem just overs football when they graduate.

Abu bakr Jr. have to make one of those teams.

Prob. U20-23 combine or
even local B team.

Personally I think we should have  days set aside during the next tow months for the locals to train with some of the top U-20s suck as Bakr and Jagdeosingh.

Let them play some warm ups and see who can be drafted, we might make a discovery for the Sr. team.

Atiba Charles paid off well.

I would like to see Bakr groomed as a def/mf ...with dat big foot and work ethic...he is the future.

Right now..I would go with a Nixon - Jones comb., with Sealey and Stern on de bench.

Quite frankly have Stern in de mix. We have a enough time before Pan. play about 3 warm ups and if Stern not looking good, bench him. or dont even use him. Yes Stern is class, and if he's out of form now, he'll bounce back later.

I have no problem with Can. soccer...and I'm more than happy to hear abt. SH...one of the real old timers in this site.

The Flex Forum has always been about football, and if I had posted about the Argentinge or Brazilian U-17 team, not a man jack would have said anything.

Methinks the prob. is not with Can. football but rather some have a prob. with WP.

There are times when he has left post re: Can. football, more as a snide attack on TT football.

The J'cans have done it in  the past as well.

The Hart article was well meaning, and for those of u who don't know SH, a boss ftbller from S. TT then, now u do.

And if man want to gi we pressure with posts, as they are wont to from time to time...then by all means respond as u see fit.

WP I am happy to hear abt. Can. ftbl, becz I'm a football fan.
But I think we both know why some of your can. fotbl posts have rubbed ppl the wrong way in the past.

The TTFF needs to have a strong second base of players training and ready to be called up.

The clubs can't pay for ment to train for a week  or more and not get played...they footing the bill.
