WATCH: Highlights of Trinidad and Tobago’s 1-0 loss to Mexico

<a href="https://www.youtube.com/v/73SB56ql4rs" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" class="bbc_link bbc_flash_disabled new_win">https://www.youtube.com/v/73SB56ql4rs</a>
that referee and his who crew got it so wrong yesterday. imagine the man brought down molino a blatant foul yet the idiot ref gave molino the yellow, Lawrence should protest that yellow. just when you thought there could not be anything worst than English referees who for the most part is rubbish.......these referees in concacaf gave me a whole new prospective on terrible officiating........the worst I have ever seen to be truthful.

We supposed to be the home team playing with the home advantage...from what I seen in these last 2 games with the officiating.... is like we were the "away" team... some real bad officiating all against TNT

Nah. We get way with a offside call on a Panama goal late in that game.

I sad that Mexico scored a header on we, this probably never happen before.

Cyrus, Kenwyne (who was defending), Mekeil and David all taller that 6 feet.

Reyes (the goalscorer) is not short (approx. 6' 3") and was put in the starting squad specifically to deal with T&T's height. Both of the Mexican centerbacks were.

At this level in the HEX, its not about playing nice, its about getting results.

"Nice" for me is keep possession and organized.....hustle to win the ball back when we lose possession....be organized and disciplined at the back....be clinical in finishing....and make the timely save when needed.

Fail to do any of those....and yuh eh getting any results at this level.

It's a testament to the players and a virtual miracle that T&T keeps punching WAY above it's weight in this arena.

Given the state of our football, the...up till lawrence's appointment anyway.....refusal of the administration to truly provide the team with what it needs to be competitive...far less successful.....and without a single player in a top world league (with all due respect to MLS, Belgium 2nd division, Vietnam etc)...it is a wonder we consistently do so well....all those factors considered

I think that it is an insult to the eleven players that i saw on the pitch giving their all for their country to categorize that victory as "lucky"!!

All teams need an element of good fortune, but that is another discussion

Well said Dre. Well said

I disagree. I think calling it lucky is recognizing that we will have to improve and do better if we expect to qualify for this world cup.

IF that is true then she need to follow Saint Fiet!!
weren't you one of those who was touting her accomplishments and saying that she'd be a good fit?????? just to remind you....

No need to remind me as I haven't forgotten, however, I'm pretty sure I never said "she'd be a good fit". If I did then I'll be the first to put up mih and hand and say "My bad, ah make a out dey!" I felt she was a good coach based on her achievements and I felt some fellas was unfairly crying down her achievements. I believe in the program that was put in place and what it's attempting to achieve. Many of us on here have been asking for exactly that.  The woman has solid credentials and I feel she deserved a chance to put her program in place and see what she could achieve. If it work great, if not, so long. This should not be surprising.

Also, I have no problem with a coach demanding excellence and professionalism from their players, however, I do take issue with a coach who regularly denigrates their players. I doh put up with that. And that's why I said "if it's true she needs to go". We doh need that! I'm also aware that there is a fine line between criticism and denigration. So, I'm hoping that this was more a misunderstanding and that something can be done to resolve the situation for the better of the Women's program. If, however, there's no misunderstanding and she's in the wrong... well, I said it already!

Just to clarify!

Look we just chattin eh, but I sure is not all bout being late...bet it have something to do with communication and tone as well- if I know that lady..As I tell my son, sometimes yuh just have to suck it up, even if it hard to swallow, and do what it takes to get where yuh want to go..if you realizing, what yuh doing won't get yuh there, then ring the bell, and get off dat bus..but don't jump off the bus while it moving and nobody else not complaining, yuh might only hurt yuhself and don't get off in the middle of nowhere, and yuh more lorse than ever.. Communicate with everyone, the other passengers and the driver, even shout out to ppl on the road asking for directions, and if an agreement or reassurance cannot be reached or met, yuh wish everybody luck and get off at the next decent rest stop. No hard feelings, everybody good. Doh yuh still neither home nor your destination, but at least yuh made yuh choice.

And an informed one at that!  :beermug:

I can't remember us having this type of player/coaching problems under Waldrum, and he's an elite coach in the women's game....guess he understood the culture.

Doesn't mean it didn't happen. It may have been dealt with before it got out of hand, however.

I do remember reading on here somewhere though that Don Leo sent Yorke home with a "Get the f*ck out of here"  when he showed up late for a practice one time and no one accused him of not understanding the culture, or told him he'd have to adjust his approach. On the contrary it helped to bring the team together because they saw that "no one" was above the rules.

I now reading some drama with the women's team.

Johnson, Cordner and Mollon withdraw from the national squad.

Story from wired868 http://wired868.com/2017/03/21/maylee-kennya-and-mollon-pull-out-as-fiery-morace-starts-reign-without-tt-stars/

I think in both the men's and women's programs when foreign coaches come in, they need to realize that their top level talent pools are so small they have to adjust their approach somewhat to ensure they build trust with the team and their personalities and only within that trust you can start to implement your philosophy. Especially if it can potentially clash with the culture.

Time will tell how it pans out for Morace.

Hopefully they can resolve this issue.

Why the TTFA’s self-serving, classless behaviour remains the Warriors’ biggest hurdle
Wired868
Lasana Liburd

One of the most memorable incidents of Dennis Lawrence’s debut as a head coach for the Trinidad and Tobago National Senior Team came before kick off against Barbados at the Ato Boldon Stadium in Couva on Friday 10 March 2017.

As Lawrence prepared to make his international bow at the helm, the 22 players and match officials were greeted by the SPORTT Company duo of CEO Adam Montserin and facilities manager Anthony Blake and Trinidad and Tobago Football Association (TTFA) vice-president Ewing Davis for the customary pre-match handshakes.

And then, in an extraordinary show of disrespect and unprofessionalism, Davis, who is also the Soca Warriors’ head of delegation, took his mobile phone from his pocket and began to carry on a conversation. In so doing, the football official—who wore a blue Nike tee-shirt while his country plays in red Joma kit—walked past half of the Barbados contingent and the Trinidad and Tobago players without so much as a nod.

In many ways, Davis’ action encapsulated the behaviour of the local football body under current president David John-Williams: self-absorbed, classless and disrespectful.

Keith's latest letter to Justin Latapy-George.

Dear Sir,

On 23 February 2017 you acknowledged receipt of documents I emailed to you regarding Trinidad and Tobago Super League Limited.

I now request an update on the status of TTSL’s application for TTFA membership, which, I remind you, was submitted on 8 January 2017 and remains unresolved. TTSL has expeditiously responded to every TTFA request for information but, effectively, our membership application has not been progressed by the TTFA Board of Management.

I repeat TTSL’s oft stated position that our membership application MUST, by constitutional requirement, be submitted to TTFA’s General Meeting for approval. This right does not belong to the TTFA Board.

TTSL hereby, once again and through your office, calls on the TTFA Board to submit our application to the Extraordinary General Meeting that is supposedly scheduled for March 2017, OR to call such a Meeting with the greatest urgency to settle what, it would seem, is now an unnecessary struggle for TTSL’s membership in TTFA.

I anticipate your response.
Best regards.

Keith Look Loy
TTSL

Well then, I guess the easy block this would be to cancel that meeting for some trumped up reason then not cancel another one until it's too late for the TTSL season. The question then becomes what avenues for redress would be available to TTSL in that case and whether or not there's a back up plan? Hope there is.

I really hope they can pull this off.

You really feel DJW will approve this when he have no control over it.

Hopefully he has no choice! I'm sure the Pro League is likely to take issue as this league will probably end up competing with them. And the teams having established links to their communities gives them an immediate advantage over the Pro League. I am hoping though that DJW's hands will be tied by the constitution and once they meet all the requirements then TTFA will have no choice but to ratify the league.

It's time for Arsenal fans to face the facts.  Arsenal is just not good enough as a team.  The fact that they qualify for CL football year after year is a testament to Wenger's abilities as a manager.  Looking around at the footballing landscape, the "big" teams that qualify for CL have several options off their benches that can be considered like for like or top quality. Many have solid veteran players of much better quality than Arsenal.  Outside of Alexis (and Ozil when he feels like) who does Arsenal have that any top teams would go in for?  Even in the PL their quality is lacking by comparison to the likes of City, United, Chelsea and even Tottenham at the moment.  That team is lucky that they have Arsene making magic with them year after year with a barebones squad.  Only liverpool right now (of the top six) have a similarly composed squad and yet they seem to fight more than the gooners.  The players on Arsenal are just as much if not more accountable than Wenger for the absolutely atrocious results!

To this I would add that in recent years Arsenal has been lacking any kind of steel. Players who can help them grind out a win on the days when the pretty football not flowing, or lift the squad and drive the team forward when they are down. For that though, I would blame the manager.

Arsenal got  hammered again. But the ref's decision to red card the Arsenal defender so early did no help for the Gunners. How many lives does Arsene have? Allyuh think he gone at the end of the season?

Only if he fail to qualify for Champions League next year.

Yea that team weak. Molino is their best player. Even the bias commentator said it. He played really well imho. The team just wasn't up to par. Go for the paper...at the end of the day thats what it about...but I mean like no other team was interested!?? He young-ish yet. Good luck to MU tho...hopefully they get in a stride and start to play some decent ball, until then i hope being on a losing team doesn't affect his mental...he outshines his team definitely!

This is why I said leaving Orlando wasn't necessarily a no brainer! Once again, hope it works out for him and things improve before he gets frustrated with the losses!

Commentator say they still have money to spend. So reinforcements coming at some point.

Hopefully sooner rather than later!
