The weak link is Aubrey playing RB.
I was thinking was Williams at left back (see goal) & crosses coming in.

...
either way I not down on the team, hopefully Hart have them defending to gain experience defending a Big team. (sooner or later pressure will buss pipe).

Other than the lapse in concentration, I think Williams has been solid defensively.
The problem that I am seeing is that Mexico is making a concerted effort to attack down our left side, because Jovein makes darting runs up-field, but if and when he loses the ball that space is quickly being filled by a Mexican.
Williams has 2 and sometimes 3 guys coming at him. Granted the center back is coming across to assist, but the left midfielder has to help his left back.

Joevin had Cummings as an option. Good to have options.
Liking Cummings.
Yes, Joevin needs to release the ball a bit faster. His decision making in the final 3rd needs to improve.

Getting tired of the Panamanians petulant behavior... If de Ref blow, no need to run up in he face every single time. This taking away from their play

We also have 2 wing backs (Cyrus and Williams) who can attack down the flanks and defend in 1 v 1 situations without de chupid fouls or wild tackles.

these guys seem to have little awareness of where they are on the field especially when they get the ball...its either they turn into trouble or run into trouble
It doesn't happen once in a while,it happens all the fackin time,it is painful to look at.Before the ball reach them they must have a quick look around,it takes a couple seconds. Why can't Hart see that,it is so bloody elementary. No wonder we keep losing the ball in good situations.I hope Hart fix up ting for the Mexico match,
This is not a Hart problem, this is a Trini problem. Men doing the same shyt for years both at the club and international level.

Good win on to the quarterfinals. Im happy with the way the team handled their business. We hardly looked troubled. For me Kenwyne is doing a fine job and working hard. Without Molino with him he has nobody to link up with.
Just imagine if Molino was playing upfront with KJ. These games would not have even been close.
On a side note, it is good to see other players stepping up and scoring goals, which is taking that burden off KJ's shoulders.

guerra and peltier needs to do better, their decision making is poor for this level of football. guerra seems like he has lost a couple of steps and is not as vibrant and effective as he was two years ago, he is easily moved off the ball and is constantly falling down in the final attacking third. peltier on the other hand is over dribbling. he simply needs to play the simple pass and learn how to cross a ball sensibly.

Yuh trying to be politically correct...just talk de truth and say both ah dem pulling stones.

Our principal issues this half have been technical ones (poor attempts at crosses, woeful corner kicks, poor free kicks, first touch, dribbling with loss of possession ... etc.) Other posters have hit the nail on the head.

Preacher, yuh right! Tactically ... structure etc. better than consistently seen in recent time.

I would add also our game has variation in our ball movement ... such that Abu Bakr's long deliveries actually complement our attacking movement rather than being in spite of the tactical orientation. Much was pleasing to the eye.

KJ's movement off the ball has also been encouraging ... and better.
Yes KJ is making some excellent runs, but he is not being rewarded by his teammates.

The midfield seems to hustle and are more compact when Boucaud is in there, but compared to Hyland he is not as creative or quick thinking on the ball when the team is pushing forward.
That being said, great goal!

I like how allyuh men done concede loss to Mexico already. Smh.

(Me too.)

I don't think that is the consensus... At this point, the objective is to advance into the quarterfinal round but with the high pressure style of play being enforced by our technical staff, 3 games in 6 days can be extremely taxing on the body. If we beat Cuba on Sunday, a quarterfinal berth would be a mere formality so resting some of the starters against Mexico can be an option.
Not conceding defeat to Mexico, but the possibility does exist that we may face them in the later rounds, 'so yuh have to play dead to catch cobo alive'.

Cuba playing short-handed tonight

Six Cuban players and manager Raul Gonzalez Triana are having visa troubles and aren't even in the country for tonight's Gold Cup opener against Mexico. And a 7th is missing in Chicago after leaving the team hotel.

hmmmmmm.... man done defecting already.

Great result for the team. One win away from the quarterfinals. I think it showed character to hold out for the result. Being up 3 goals is a tricky situation because you naturally drop to defend. Congrats to the team, and so far it looks like Hart's system change worked.
This is the signature of a good coach, when yuh system eh wukin and cutarse sharing left and right. Change things up!

Quote
1 min: And we’re off. USA will start the game defending in the shaded half of the stadium. USA coach Jill Ellis is having a chuckle on the bench. She is very relaxed this evening. Maybe she’s just happy she doesn’t have to meet Sepp Blatter at the end of the match.

:rotfl: :rotfl:

That's from the match tracker at the Guardian (UK).

Seems like she is a fan and team favorite.
Also surprised Leroux eh get more playing time. To me she is just a healthier version of Alex Morgan.
Morgan eh do much as she was coming back from and injury.
