Someone should design a T shirt with  the T&T Logo and in Bold print -Boat Cruise Jammers.
Now that would be a marketing gem, not to mention the money in the owners pocket.

I just read Online in one of the dailies that Fenwick begging for the Job. Honestly He made sense in terms of the time frame to get this team back on tract. I would give him a shot at this job if we are looking for a local.

A good coach like Bielsa can get the best out of his players . Look at what has happened to Moses at Chelsea. Fitness and the ability to work hard with the right kind of motivation can lift the level of our players even though at the moment on a scale of one to Ten they are about 5.

La Forrest- I hope the TTFA will surround the New- Local Coach with a set  of technically sound coaches, including himself- Really. Someone  remarked on this Forum that Hart had reached his level of Competence . Thus far and no further. I tend to agree based on his outing with Canada and Now T&T .
A Honduran said to me today - Honduras is his nemesis. We did it before let us hope it can be done again. Hope is the eternal flame that burns in the Human heart.

The Trinity of Mischief- KJ, Boucaud and Jan - I cant see retiring them until a new coach arrives so it seems that the Trinity got Hart fired. The big Question is will the Medical staff return with the new Coach.
Or should a new team be assembled.
 Same Shit another day.

I love the BBC report which says that they  brought Klinsman to play the free flowing German style of Football but the USA players just could not play that way. So Klinsman brought in Germany based players and the USA players did not like it so trouble in the Camp. Trouble brewing at home as well The Medical staff resigned- Hart not listening to the Doctor , lack of professional respect so he and his deputy
rode off into the sunset. Latapy here we come. Same shit another day- Sorry that language is unbecoming of me , so let me put it this way- The more things change the more they stay the same.
Tolerance is sinister when it reflects indifference but Anger is good when it reflects concern.

Revisit Palos post and let us put this local talk to rest- Some of us are tired of the same thing.
Let us take off the rose colored glasses- W e just cant cut it- Not only in discipline but fitness and footballing intelligence. Let us face it the cream will always rise to the top and go abroad else they will become a big fish in a small pond- Ask Arnold  Dwarika if you  think I lie. Having said that there was a small guy by the name of Toussaint who showed remarkable positioning and good ball sense with the ability to take on players and he even was a regular goal scorer but faded in the background from lack of International exposure.

Maybe we need a Latin Coach preferably one from Argentina. Costa Rica destroyed the USA yesterday with quick passing and players movement off the ball. When they attack with speed players found themselves in spaces to receive the ball - three four and five players. It could be our players problem is the fitness level. Hart allude to it and physicality. The good news is that we have time to address some of the glaring problems. My honest impression is that we need new players and some foreign recruitment .  Has this Coach lost the dressing room ? :

Well at least the President of The TTFA will have something in his cabinet to show his grandchildren.
Let us look on the bright side.

We showed fight against Mexico twice, dropping our heads is not the DNA of a T&T team. Actually we are known  to play better when we are a goal down. Same ole another day. Who is the Messiah to bail us out this time?

The Coach already had in his mind that Costa Rica was a more  talented team than T&T.
So the man played it safe and hoped for a point. If we are honest most teams in the Hex feel that we are the whipping boys and that they can get points . What we have to do is surprise some of them away.
The trick for the Hex is to win your home gains and try for a point away. A win against Honduras will change the whole equation.

Chelsea has settled into a System- 3 in the Back with pace from the wing backs. Manu still looking for a style of play. The best this season is against Liverpool. Still a long way to go, but it looks as though Jose might soon  see the back door.

11 vs 11. With the home crowd and the way we [played against Mexico twice. We can pull a win at home. The key to getting to Russia is not to lose at home. O ye of little faith

Words of Wisdom from Just Cool. One should not make major decisions in the heat of passion nor when angry / Upset. Maybe Kaka can put some sense into his head. It is not only about his career but also about the Team bonding and creating that family feeling that Conte is talking about with Chelsea. To take a year off is to take a permanent holiday from Wearing the national Colors.

Congrats on the win. well done and it would surely build confidence. Let us finish the Job in Suriname.
George / Hyland or George / Boucaud. Interesting as we go forward.  Happy for the win.

I was saddened by that news . Sammy was my brother's  friend and although I was a Malvernite , Essex was my second team with my Trinity College captain , Edgar Garraway  and then Bobby Banfield  in the mix. I will pray for strength at this time. One of our top forwards who was always Goal hungry and did not waste many chances.

To whom much is given much is expected. Those three should set an example . They know that they could not try that foolishness with their professional clubs. Is it any wonder that some folks prefer a foreign coach , We seem not to respect our own. Is the same star boy thing that is a curse to our football. The same S---- another day. This episode really does no favors to the Coach.

We have to play them with the same mindset vs Mexico. From now on the goal is to go for a win. The target is Russia and no- one must stand in our way in CONCACAF . Let us not take our eyes off the prize.

Blame The Coach. It is always  a learning process. In all fairness to Shabazz{ I never thought I would say this} he did recognize our weakness  in the first half of play and changed the strategy for the second half. He would have played five in the back and go for the counter,
Congrats to the little ladies for bouncing back Shows character and just maybe if we keep this squad after this tournament , we can talk about the future.

He Young and brave and will take on players . He reminds me of the ball Jumbies we used to have in the past- Leonson Lewis- Sammy LLewellyn- = Nixon. Take the ball and go to goal. Now is a set of passing to the wingers and hoping for a Cross. That youth and the other 18year old from ManU playing on the England squad is what I am talking about. But then most of my friend on this Forum would not have seen football in front of the Grand Stand- PSA grounds and King George 5th Park, not to mention the Poor house grounds and Mervina League. Trust me memories are made of these.

Ukraine is a good team - I like the way they use the wings and the ease in which they run pass the last man and cross into the box.. They will go far in this tournament .

Chile is a good case in point. The Coach left them and it was four losses and yesterday they lost to Argentina. I guess the Jury is out about SH after Canada fired him with the loss to Honduras in a W/C qualifier. If you pay peanuts you get monkeys. With the salary scale that is being offered , I guess we are lucky to have SH. Another plus for us is that he knows the region and style of play in CONCACAF.
The players will play for him and he has improved the style of play and we look like we can compete with the big boys in CONCACAF.

This was an opportunity to widen the pool- to expand the bench and to look at players who seemed to have performed at the local level whether they can step up.
I guess the opposition was too much for this bunch of players- El Salvador- Cuba- Puerto Rico would have been a better yardstick. You cant run donkeys in a horse race.
Secondly it was a fund raiser for the TTFA.
Thirdly it answers the Question about preparation for the W/C and makes the President look good- So we cant be asking what is he doing for the NT.
Finally, we  are assuming that Mr Hart attends most of the Local Games? I know for a fact because my friend Mr Cummings related to me one Sunday , that the problem with local coaches is that they  have their favorite players that they want to see on the National team. Now it is worse because playing on the NT is a passport for being scouted for bigger leagues and not to mention transfer fees.
I hope it was a learning curve for players and coaches.
My concern is for Hart's  job , In this business success is what counts. We have a history of firing local coaches and bring a big name coach when we reach the HEX, Captain Burrell once said when Jamaica reached the World Cup , that Caribbean islands need a foreign Coach to take them  to the World Cup.
