London’s Soca artist Fakekou makes debut video for hit single Kick de Ball.

London’s freshest new soca artist Fakekou makes his debut video for his new hit single Kick de Ball. The first leg of filming of the video took place at The Fountain, 211Lower Clapton Road, London E5 (near Palace Pavilion formerly known as Dougies) on Thursday 16th February 2006. The venue was taken over by camera crews, true Trini supporters and video equipment.

The second location will take place at the Pre World Cup International Trinidad & Tobago Vs Iceland at Loftus Road, Queens Park Rangers Football Club on 28th February 2006 filming will start at approximately 18:00 hrs.
Kick de Ball is a musical celebration of Trinidad & Tobago’s qualification into the 2006 FIFA World Cup.
The theme of the video is ‘Trini to the Bone’. Using Fakekou’s pulsating fusion beats of Hip Hop and Soca to take the viewer on a journey from party atmosphere to football frenzy whilst exploring costume, colour, and lots of soca dancing that is Trinbago.

Ramsaroop starts exploratory phase
By Steve Ninvalle
Sunday, January 29th 2006

Businessman Peter Ramsaroop has started exploratory work that will lead to the creation of a professional football team and league in Guyana.

Ramsaroop said yesterday that he has started meeting with some of Guyana leading coaches in an effort to form an "exploratory committee."

He will soon be contacting players in order to kick start the pro team and league. "We have started working, it is a long haul but pretty soon we will be in full flight, Ramsaroop said.

Late last year Ramsaroop, the patron of RoopGroup Western Tigers Football Club had set his sight on the creation of a professional football team.

The businessman said that he was willing to foot the bill for the first professional team and intends to call about 16 players and pay them a salary at the end of each month.

Initially players will be recruited for six months with a fixed salary. Ramsaroop noted then that his initiative could only be successful if at least three other businessmen come on board and do the same thing.

The Guyana Football Federation and the Georgetown Football League have thrown their weight behind the initiative with GFF president Colin Klass claiming that the entire Guyana will benefit from the endeavour.

Klass said that Ramsaroop would receive the full support of the federation.

"I'm meeting with top coaches in the country and players to determine the process that will be required to set up such a team and league," Ramsaroop said yesterday.

The businessman acknowledged that initially there will not be enough professional teams in Guyana to complete a league. However, he noted that in the interim he is willing to look to teams from Brazil to fill the breach.

"Of course this can only lift the standard of football in Guyana," Ramsaroop said.

Football / DJ CAMPBELL: BAD MAN
« on: January 31, 2006, 06:53:59 PM »
Campbell in shock Birmingham move

Campbell has gone from non-league football to the Premiership in 12 months
Birmingham City have signed Brentford striker DJ Campbell for £500,000.
Campbell, 24, who has played just 28 professional games, has joined on a three-and-a-half year deal with his fee potentially rising to £1m.

Campbell came to prominence during Yeading's FA Cup run last season and joined Brentford from the non-league side for £5,000 in June 2005.

After starting out with Chesham the striker joined Stevenage in 2001, before he was loaned to Billericay.

Birmingham boss Steve Bruce said: "He is someone who is quick, direct and young.

"He is a bit raw but he has a good eye for goal and is an exciting player.

"He is quite refreshing and from his interviews you can see that he is someone who enjoys playing football.

"You do your homework and he is a decent lad who will relish the challenge."

Before joining Brentford in the summer Campbell had been training just twice a week with Yeading.

The striker's surprise transfer comes just three days after his two goals helped Brentford beat Sunderland 2-1 to reach the FA Cup fifth round.

Campbell scored 83 goals in 109 appearances for Yeading before moving to Griffin Park last summer and has been on target 12 times for Brentford this season.

Its actually 6 Months from Ryman Premier(non-league) to Premiership
