Nothing but pure applause for Machel, that was one hell of a run. Unfortunately he came up in the time of giants.

32
Excellent performance from MLA. Wasn't as fluent as her semis, but damn good effort  :beermug: :beermug: :beermug:

33
abject f!?$ing failures...what sh!t  is really on display right now from our athletes????:cursing:

35
I really don't know what good he will do us fresh with an a$$ run likethat. If I was management the final 4 is Gordon, Cedenio, Solomon and Quow. Lendore has to earn his spot in the heats.

Sports Illustrated predicts two medals for T&T . Silver for men 4x400m and Bronze for women 4x100m.
http://www.si.com/olympics/2016/08/01/rio-2016-olympics-medal-picks-predictions-projected-medal-count#tf

Sounds about right.

I predicted the same. However I think the men 4x100 can squeeze a bronze. And of course we usually have a surprise medalist. My guess is Keshorn or maybe even Cedenio. For Cedenio to medal , one of the big 3 will have to mess up their race plan. If I had to choose out of the big 3, I will choose Kirani as the one to mess up his race plan.

A bit of wishful thinking there Re Kirani. He has no track record of deviating from his game plan, and may be the most consistent of the 3 IMO. Keshorn has the best chance due to the more sporadic nature of his event and the fact that he has multiple chances to get it right.

Actually Kirani did have a hiccup in 2013. Finished 7th. Last year he came 3rd at the WCs. All I'm saying is that if there is one to mess up the race plan out of the top 3, it will probably be Kirani. Not saying that he will. But best case scenario for Cedenio to medal.

Running 43.78 when your PR is 43.74 , is NOT messing up. Cmon man. He got food poisoning between the rounds in Moscow. The Kid is an ace! So if Cedenio wants to put himself into the medal conversation, he better have a 0.50s or better drop in PR come th the next 10 days.

Lol...no mistake. You can take 4 athletes, but only 3 can run. The TTOC has until the 13th to submit the final team. Khalifa is already there for the 4x1, so it's smart , have her as as alternate.

This should be motivation for Keshorn Walcott to prove them wrong  :)

Add the men's 4x1 to that list.

45.34 for Lendore. Was in the race for about 330m, but faltered when it came time to press. Had no answer for th eventual winner.

MLA second in her heat in 11.03(-1.3m/s) and the best I have seen her look from a mechanical standpoint this year.

Well if he's at UTECH, that means he's a defacto MVP member aka under Stephen Francis or at least his brother Paul.

Well on the downside, I just watched Lalonde Gordon pull up 180m into his race in Edmonton tonight....sigh!

Nice to see Cedenio maintaining his form. A big drop is usually preceded by this kind of consistency. Hopefully it comes in the Rio final.

Has to be a typo

49
Freeman Octavious  who is she ???
She's American. Has had lots of injuries in the recent past, but is working her way back. Was on their 2013 team for the 100m.

50
Looks like Thompson is back.

Looks so, but lets see what he looks like between now and Rio. I expect him to race one or twice more or hope so. He's woefully short on races and i don't believe practice alone will be sufficient for him to get back to PR shape, which he will need to get himself seriously into the discussion for finalist in Rio.

It's on Flow Sports - channel 95

Thanks, but sadly that's of no use to this outsider. Hope someone can tape the races tonight.

54
Is there an ounce of coverage anywhere. Radio, TV...anything???

55
Saw that myself and was wondering the same thing.

56
Khalifa' s younger rival, American Candace Hill cruised to 11.09(+1.9) in her semis at the US Junior trials. Finals in an hour. Sub-11 looks ominous.

57
Not much too choose from so far. Some video would have been nice, but I guess the semis tomorrow will cast a light on the pretenders.
