This is really a double tongue on Eve's part.

I can tell you first hand that he wants money from the 06 Warriors saying that he also contributed to the cause as he was part of the team in 2005 and wants his share.

He also wants to grab the opportunity to coach the senior team, that's his aim, so he is trying to kiss up.

Football / Olympic players planning boycott.
« on: February 14, 2012, 07:09:34 AM »
They are very unhappy with the way the TTFF is treating them.

They are also unhappy with the pay they are getting which almost half of the amount is going towards food and transportation.

Under 23 players getting $200 TT dollars for a game while the TTFF members getting big dollars despite the cry they make in public to fool the public. Dont be fooled guys, the staff is not working for free and they get theres.

I will keep you guys updated on the matter, but some players is really vex.

Anil Roberts yesterday gave the assurance that neither the national Under-23 footballers nor other national teams will suffer from the fall out between the Trinidad and Tobago Football Federation (TTFF) and former players.

This is the same speech given every year at these award functions. Just telling the audience what they want to hear and get a long round of applause. But in reality nothing is implemented.

The Minister of Sport, the TTFF and SPORTT is doing everything else but helping sport in this country and our leaders are not doing anything about it.

Imagine Cricket is not an Olympic Sport and fund is abundant but other sports which are under the Olympic umbrella the athletes have to fund themselves in competition to represent the country even though they bring home medals and glory.

This is a great article Flex and you saw the markings on the wall...

If you want to hurt the TTFF, we need to boycott the games and ALL OF THEM !!!!

Like it or not !!!

Any games where the TTFF can benefit from, we need to boycott.

We need our voices to be heard.

We need to hurt them in the pockets until changes are made.

The SWO is the only media house where voices can be heard,  injunchile, you should rethink, we need to let our voices heard man. Flex site is the only T&T media where the TTFF and anoyne in T&T cant contain.

Now is the time we need to pool together, the evil will fall, but we must be here, if we varnish we are just giving the TTFF the power.

Gally criticises "hasty" Corneal appointment
By Lasana Liburd (wired868.com)

Ex-Trinidad and Tobago national football team standout player and coach, Everald "Gally" Cummings, today criticised the Trinidad and Tobago Football Federation (TTFF) for its "haste" in appointing former assistant coach Anton Corneal as technical director.

Corneal, who received a four-year contract to oversee the development of the local game, began work today at a TTFF Elite Coaches Symposium in the Larry Games Stadium, Malabar.

However, Cummings insisted that the TTFF should have held an analysis of its unsuccessful 2014 World Cup campaign before making long term appointees—particularly when the appointee, Corneal, was a key component of the "Soca Warriors" humiliating first round elimination.

"This is a very important national issue which will have a long term impact on our future development in football and sport in this country," stated Cummings, who famously took Trinidad and Tobago within a point of the Italy 1990 World Cup and is a Hall of Fame inductee as a player.

"The Minister of Sport and, by extension, the Government should not fund any such long term appointments until a proper analysis is made. (This) brings me to question what was the purpose and recommendations coming out of the Symposium held recently by the Ministry of Sport, which was also held at significant cost.

"All appointments should be on an interim basis at this stage and only where absolutely necessary. Instead what we are seeing is individuals trying to jump the gun and install themselves in positions."

Acting TTFF President Lennox Watson said Corneal's appointment was made by its executive committee on Thursday.

Corneal is one of two local coaches—after Bertille St Clair—to take the country to a FIFA tournament after he steered the "Soca Warriors" into the Korea 2007 Under-17 World Cup. However, his reputation was not helped by less successful stints as assistant coach to Francisco Maturana and Otto Pfister.

Cummings, who is the head coach at the University of Trinidad and Tobago (UTT), suggested that Corneal's father, Anton Corneal, a FIFA Technical Study member and former TTFF Technical Advisor, might play a role in his ability to get desirable jobs.

"When Russell Latapy lost matches (as coach), he was fired," Cummings told Wired868, "and it was the same for Pfister. So why is it always different for Corneal?

"Is it because of his father's role?"

Alvin and Anton Corneal are the main instructors at today's Elite Coaching Symposium along with Neville Chance and Edgar Vidale. The Symposium aims to empower an army of coaches who are earmarked to help lift the standard of the local game.

The 25 invited coaches are: Hutson Charles, Angus Eve, Derek King, Sean Cooper, Clint Marcelle, Dale Saunders, Terrance Marcelle, Philbert Jones, Michael McComie, Kevin Jeffrey, Ross Russell, Anthony Streete, Stuart Charles-Fevrier, Leonson Lewis, Anthony Rougier, Terrance Williams, Clayton Morris, Brian Williams, Dion La Foucade, Marlon Charles, Izler Browne, Stephan De Four, Rajesh Latchoo and Peter Pierre.

The TTFF is a big family business...

Gally, good call !!!!!

Question for the football law experts here:

Is it compulsory to have a 4th official?

Oh, by the way....North East were very poor vs Caledonia. Looked like a completely different team to the 10 men who drew with T&TEC 3 days ago! Cally had a player sent off around 55 mins, but Stars still couldn't take advantage  :pissedoff:

Left before half time in the Jab vs St Anns match. Jabloteh looked really good. Couldn't believe they lost!

No food or drinks on sale until 2nd half of NES/Cally. No entertainment provided either!

I was there also, I just can't believe the Pro League admin operate so good in some areas and then very poor in some.

I am also very disappointed in North East Stars, they are not a bad team and I know Sancho and company are trying very hard, they play so inconsistent, but I predict they will improve.

Cant believe Police won a game, I think there first in 2 years.  :rotfl:

W connection is from savonetta, which is in central next to california. Eagles united is from central and they play in the super league.

I don't know much about Eagles. Do Eagles play in Ato? thanks for the update. I know W is based in Savonetta, but correct if I am wrong, they tend to play the vast majority of their games at Mannie. They more or less are a south team headquartered in central.

W Connection home field is Ato Boldon, they play at the Mannie because the league admin try to play double headers to help with crowd support.

Football / This was written before the Bermuda loss.
« on: November 15, 2011, 09:43:48 AM »
Someone in the football circle asked me to post this.

This Article was written on October 4th 2010
Trinidad played Bermuda on 7th October 2010

There is no secret why the campaign really came to an end from the loss to Bermuda

Accessing  the selection of theT&T Squad for the Bermuda Game

It is indeed puzzling and difficult to understand the rational or criteria used to select the players for our World Cup qualifier against Bermuda on the 7th of October. While we have to appreciate there has been some injuries, some forced withdrawals, and a retirement, it is difficult to understand the thinking of the persons selecting the team.

The Goal Keepers.

They pick themselves based on their pedigree and experience but one has to ask when was the last competitive game that Jan Micheal Williams has played for club or country. That will be in March of this year. I guess that Akeni Adams who has been in the training squad for the National Team for quite some time and representing T&TEC may feel a little hard done by this. I guess being on a trial in Belgium counts for more than playing in the Pro League.

The Defenders

Most of them pick themselves based on the recent past as well as the results the team has had thus far in the campaign. The inclusion of Abu Baker and Telesford is interesting. We wait to see if they will be included in the final eleven and if they are where will they play. Akeem Adams has been overlooked for the past two games for left back position with the coach preferring to use Carlos Edwards there and Anthony Wolfe at right back (who is actually playing as a forward for his club). It will be interesting to see what will be the composition of the back four. Who will play at right back in the absence of Carlos Edwards and Anthony Wolfe?  Will we see experimenting again in this all-important away game as we have seen in the first two qualifying games?

Midfielders

Clyde Leon is an established starter for T&T for the past three years and is an accomplished player; however his only competitive game since March was the game against Barbados some four weeks ago.

Kendell Jagdeosingh last played a competitive game for his club (Rochester Rhinos) in the A league on August 26th in which he played 31 minutes. That was their last game of the season. Come October 7th if he is called upon to play it will be his first game in forty two days!!! This is definitely unacceptable in the modern international game.

Keon Daniel has established himself as a national player. He has however found himself unable to play any competitive games because of visa problems with his team Philadelphia Union. If he is used against Bermuda it will be his first competitive game in thirty days!!  This is hardly ideal preparation for an international game, more so a World Cup Qualifier.

Kevin Molino is a quality young player that has represented T&T in the Digicel Cup. His last competitive game however was on September 3rd in the A League final. Should see action in the game on October 7th he will be seeing his first competitive game situation in thirty three days!! This is not acceptable now in 2011. We are not in 1962, as Tony Lee (I 95) will say.

Forwards

Devron Jorsling has done well for Trinidad and Tobago in the games he has played, but his last game for the Red white and black was just under a year ago. That is a long time being away from the international game. We may well argue that in the absence of Jones and Roberts he should be the automatic replacement, however he has seen very little playing time for his team Orlando City during the last month of their season which ended on September 3rd.  In the final game on that day, he played just the last seven minutes of extra time. This is less than ideal for a striker, preparing to represent his country in a World Cup Qualifier away from home. Playing just seven minutes of competitive football in the last thirty odd days and possibly being asked to carry our attack maybe asking a bit too much of the player. This may as well not be doing justice to the player’s professional career if he does not perform to expectations in the game.  Added to this Stern John at 34 has not set the world on fire in the TT Pro League thus far and his mobility and energy level leaves much to be desire. His performances against India and Bermuda (at home) did not suggest anything different.

Notwithstanding all that has been said , all the players mentioned whose selection is being questioned (except for Stern John) are all deserving of a spot on the National Senior team had they been playing regularly and recently for their clubs.

So what is the reason for inviting Jerrol Britto and Winchester to National Training sessions?  They are playing every week for their club yet other players mentioned before are being selected ahead of them. Jerrol Britto is averaging a goal a game in the Pro League thus far. Shahdon Winchester is not far behind in performances this season and has been in the National Senior set up for the past 18 months. He has two senior caps for T&T. His international experience at senior level is not limited to this, since he has represented his club in the Concacaf Champions League. What has become of Andre Toussaint who I assume (in the coaches’ opinion) was good enough to play against India (albeit 12 mins) and to be in the 20 man squad that travelled to Barbados for the last game?  Added to this he was selected ahead of Hector who in the opinion of many was by far the best player on the pitch for T&T against India and played the full 90 minutes. Yet Hector was not even good enough in the eyes of the National coaches to be selected in the final 18 for the games against Bermuda and Barbados, A case can also be made out for Jamal Gay who seems to be at the top of his game at present for Caledonia AIA and scoring regularly as well. Gay has been part of the National Senior set up a well for the Digicel Cup.

It is all indeed puzzling but we hope for the best and for a positive result against Bermuda

So what happened- We Lost 2-1 against Bermuda.

The Referees" Association, which is also battling the TTFF on its own issues. They raise the same issue of unconstitutional behaviour by the TTFF.

I can also tell you that the same people Keith Look Loy are battling in the EFA, Watson and Ferguson, are key figures in the TTFF's effort to destroy the TTFRA.

All these are just questions......

Tony James and Horace Burrell is Jack Warner very close friends and they are leading the race to represent CFU.

Rumour has it that Keith Look Loy was fired by the TTFF and has been replaced by the man of many trades Anton Corneal as TTFF Advisor.

Simpauls travel was the ones responsible for the foreign players tickets that came for the last 2 qualifiers.

The Concacaf and FIFA offices are about to close down in T&T, whats going to happen to the Center of Excellence as it was built with FIFA money that FIFA pay's a heafty rent to maintain as well.

Sportt (Errol Ashley) was a good firing, now things might be looking up.

Government money has not been release as yet to the TTFF, Anil Roberts is still awaiting paper work from the TTFF.

Jack Warner is still very much involved in T&T and regional football.

The course is adapted, Look Loy (as the person who initiated the involvement of the KNVB in this course and who was responsible for the TTFF Academy), and the local instructors have ensured that. And BTW, the TTFF has moved to dismiss Look Loy as its technical adviser. Politics...

I think it was Lincoln Phillips and not Keith Look Loy who initiated the involvement of the KNVB and also the person responsible for the TTFF Academy.

This letter should have been published in the T&T dailies as well Flex. !!

Good work !!!

Unfortunately, its a mountain for Keith Look Loy to climb, but it's not impossible. Ferguson and Watson need's to be on the breadline, they are worthless, Jack Warner slaves.

And Look Loy needs to watch his back, (IE: Richard Groden, Jamal Shabaaz and Alvin Corneal), trust me, they say enough bad things about him behind his back.

Keith should try and work together with Lincoln Phillips and Richard Braithwaite to help bring down Jack and company. They need to put the past behind them for the betterment of T&T football and they need to help rebuild it TOGETHER too.

We are to small of a country to be fighting, we need to pool everyone for the betterment.

PS: The Jack Horner guy....  :rotfl:  I think you are giving Sam a run for his money for best comedian of the year...

Like I said. Jack will raise again !!!!!!!! he always wins, God don't like ugly.

Jack did good for T&T football, who here could remember how he took his own money to help Marvin Lee and Mickey Trotman.

One way or the other, Jack will get a piece of the pie from football in the region.

I can guarantee you guys Keith Look Loy will not win the fight.

Let me remind you guys that Jack Warner is currently the acting Prime Minister.

Jack will raise again !!!!!!!!

Football / Re: Question: Warriors Nation Members based in T&T.
« on: August 11, 2011, 08:14:44 PM »
Here are the questions to ask at the Oval press conference.

1. Is the TTFF registered as a sole proprietorship or corporation?

2. If I wanted to sponsor the 2014 effort, who do I write my check to; the TTFF or TTFA?

3. As the target of a multi-million dollar lawsuit by the 2006 players, how would a sponsor know their money will not be used to pay the judgement.

4. If you are trying to convince this is a new TTFF, why are you announcing the India game one week before kickoff rather than the usual three weeks?

5. Has the present coaching staff been paid?

6. Minister Roberts, how can you assure the people their hard earned money won't be spent on propping up a rogue entity like the TTFF that has lost all credibility in the eyes of the public and the world.

7. Can you comment on the recent FIFA Ethics Committee indictment of General Secretary Richard Groden? How does his indictment and the pending contempt charge on Ollie Camps effect the credibility of the TTFF?

8. What has happened to the "Win With CONCACAF (still in existance)" money the PFL was supposed to receive on an annual basis? It is believed that the PFL was supposed to receive 200k (USD) each year from that CONCACAF program? Jack Warner made Keith Look Loy and Alvin Corneal (played a part) two men who were rivals to work together with FIFA, they were responsible for this program, where is the money ?

174
Without the SWO, life would be miserable

Thank you Flex !!!!!!!!!!!!! and Tallman.

Love the write-up.

175
The SSFL can implement that zonal structure that Gally mentioned in #4 of the interview. SSFL has nothing to do with Camps and them. It might just force their hands to really bridge the gap so T&T football can have more technically sound players at the senior level.

Unfortunately, the people at the TTFF don't really care much about bridging gaps.

Camps would have done much better without Jack Warner in the picture and now he is so much involved in Jack dirty laundry that he cannot get out or make any changes and will never resign, but Jack wants and need him there so Jack will always have a hand as long as Cheryl Abrams, Oliver Camps, Anton Corneal and Richard Gorden is around you can count on Jack playing devils advocate with T&T football, he is a parasite.

I remember in a recent interview with Flex, Keith Look Loy said that the SSFL should not be, I feel he should try and work to improve the league instead of thrashing it, we are not a powerhouse or a big country and need all the help expecially since the federation and the people incharge of the leagues dont see eye to eye or on the same page.

Interview here.

Wrong again Insider. Howard under Lincoln won NCAA championships in '71 and '74. The NCAA vacated the '71 championship. However, Howard successfully sued the NCAA and forced the NCAA to change their rules regarding foreign students because the courts said such rules violated the 14th amendment equal protection rights of foreign students. However, the courts did not force the NCAA to reinstate the '71 championship for a variety of legal reasons I won't bore you with here. Howard could not participate in post season play in '73. In '74 under the banner of William Cullen Bryant's poem, 'Truth Crushed To Earth Shall Rise Again", Howard came back to win the '74 championship with a perfect 19-0-0 record; a record that stood for about 20 years.  Howard didn't renew Lincoln's contract in 1980 because he threatened to not return unless the program received more support. He was out of the college until the late 80's when he coached VCU.

You should really do some research before casually spreading mis-information. There is actually quite a bit of information on the Howard team.

LP hired a lawyer name Yallery Arthur and had an out of court settlement with HU. After he was fired from Howard University he never coached at Howard after that, a Bermudian guy was the new coach.

« on: June 04, 2011, 07:53:01 PM »
Sorry guys.... that was some mis info passed on...

Is this true though ?

I know that the NCAA took away Howards second championship title because of Keith Aqui who was a national player and teacher in Trinidad before Lincoln drafted him into Howard University on scholarship. Howard then fired Lincoln as coach. This situation made the NCAA change up all recuitment policies. Lincoln then took Howard to court and won an out of court settlement. Then some years after took over as coach at Virginia Commonwealth.

I know Keith Look Loy pretty well and I can tell you first hand he is good at playing with both hands.

Watch him Flex, what you pocess here is a great tool for T&T football whether they recognise it or not.

Anyone who friends with the Corneals, Gorden and Camps cannot be trusted.

Look what happened to Kyle Bethel, spent hundreds of dollars for a trips with his parents to trial with the youth team after Look Loy confirmed the trial dates and venue with him and yourself and poor Kyle was left out in the dark after months of planning.

His parents (Trinis) had to go above and beyond to make contact after days of trying, Kyle was there for 7 days and managed to get only one training session.

So as you can see the unprofessional ways in our people who runs or are part of our federation, its them, no one else.
