Impressive work Flex.

Good luck to LP and great archievements and interview, glad he considered Flex for his exclusive, its shows that he has a lot of respect for the SWO and Flex.

Very strange that this topic came up.

Cheryl is a decent person, but she has been given the job to do more with the TTFF and does a relatively poor job. She is slow and unprofessional at times with what she does.

1 out of 10.

I'll rate her a 3.5, sometimes 4.

A perfect TTFF employee, she blends right in.

Once Jack Warner loves you, its doesn't matter who gets vex, you will be taken care off.

Football / Lincoln Phillips released ?

I just spoke with Keith Look Loy this morning and he said in a laughing manner that Lincoln Phillips is not the TD anymore and Anton confirmed it.

I just had to come out and say something.

Good read Flex and nice article, you said it right, based on your assessments Anton has gotten alot of chances and does not justify his selection. As Sam pointed out, stats dont lie, guys, we cannot get carried away because of personal feelings towards Anton.

I know Anton Corneal personally and he is a very nice person who seems genuine about football, but does he have the mentality to lead or assist T&T, I am not sure about that. Time will tell...

To be a good coach you need to be a good motivator and a good tactician among other things. This will explain our last under 17 team that went to Mexico and got humiliated under Anton and he turned around and blamed the players, the players parents could vouch for me here too.

I spoke to Jack Warner a few years ago under the Beenhakker era and he told me indirectly that he does not care to much for Anton and Lincoln Phillips. Aparently, Keith Look Loy is another problem in the TTFF, these men are not geniune and they try to spite LP and others in the TTFF.

I take it that Anton is still here as part of T&T football because of his father Alvin Corneal who seems to have some strong hold on Jack. ?

The question here is, did Otto Pfister really picked these guys ? come on, we all know the answer.

Another thing Flex, you made a good point here, I to feel Lincoln Phillips should play a part as T&T assistant coach.

As for Kingman reply to Stuart Charles, I am 100% sure if Stuart Charles had gotten the chances Anton got he would have done better, Charles spent 6 months as T&T coach ? I am not defending Charles, just making a point.

I understand we cannot qualify for every world cup, but I am sure we could put on a better show.

By the way, wasn't Ron LaForest, Brian Williams and Clayton Morris part of our senior team once ? their time was so short that I cant remember.

Sam, the purpose and importance of a player's association is to avoid situations like the player salary dispute from taking place. If the players won't band together for their own interests, does it really become the role of others to take up their fight?

Agreed !!! the locals need to step up, but they dont have the money to, unlike the 2006 WC squad.

The 16 blacklisted players took years before they could have sued the TTFF because they to faced the same problem.

And to date they still cannot form a players association, from Shaka to Sancho, its only talk.

Sam you are right, I heard that Latapy will remain as coach (for now), no decision was taken on his future by the TTFF yesterday. Mr Lincoln "Powder Posse" Phillips and David "Clueless" Muhammad are soft heads.

The TTFF is understood to be taken up in other matters, IE (Court Case) and there are no competitive football games until late 2011/2012, so they are in no rush.

The TTFF will look at Lincoln technical report soon and we know how that goes, before they make a decision on Latapy, for now, Latapy is our coach.

Lincoln makes $70,000.00 a month and does not justify it. While he is a nice guy and a gentle man, there is so much more he can do. Same for Gorden, Anton Corneal, Camps, Cheryl Abrams and Keith Look Loy.

Believe me, this team is in need of bad help.

They cut tail booked if something is not done quickly.

Vranes is not a quality coach and he seems to be stuck at one level.

The team is not playing fluid and quality football and is riding on a lot of luck.

They are a bunch of good talents that is in need of good coaching, discipline, incouragement and more preparations.

I hope the TTFF looks to invite some US based players to help show the locals how to play organise football and rub off some discipline on them, the local guys have attitude problems and Vranes is no father figure, neither is Anton Corneal.

I spoke with Corneal last week and he said he is not here to baby sit anyone and couldn't careless if them players stuck up and indiscipline, all he cares about is results, he said its not part of his development to baby sit anyone, as you all know Corneal holds a big position and he is our youth development director.

But its not to late to turn things around, they are a good bunch but we are headed to play better oppostions.

For obivious reasons Concacaf officials and Digicel are trying to keep the lid on the situation.

But I will try and find out more.

There were two ladies with the magician, maybe one his girl and the other her friend ? or maybe Latapy is an undercover freak...  :rotfl:

Latapy told me he will be leaving for Portugal soon.

Football / Re: Terry Fenwick: Where do we go from here?
« on: November 30, 2010, 06:43:22 PM »
saga pinto, YES, Latapy is a fan of Trotters, saw him there with Stern John a few weeks back.

And a week before the Digicel Cup, Latapy was in Tobago playing Golf.

He loves golf so much that he is out of the country a lot of times.

Many of the foreign players have no respect for Latapy and he knows that, hence one of the reason he does not call them. I cant call names, but you will be surprised what some of them say about Latapy.

As for Fenwick, he cannot do anything about the current state of T&T football because he will not get the support to do so, if he gets the job, he should decline, its best, the TTFF does not respect him.

Fenwick have a good discipline that is needed in T&T football today but sometimes he could get overwhelmed and react on players, he needs to learn to curve his attitude and respect players a little more.

But I agree, he is better than Latapy by far.

Aye Tempo, yuh seem to be a man in the know. I in 'Bago 4 years, and we eh see the TD here, we eh hear from the TD, we eh hear 'bout no programme for we.... so set me straight with the fact nah...

Good question Doc !!

Lincoln is not the problem, he is part of it.

He is a gentle man working in a insubordinate company.

He cannot make a change because he is not supported/respected to do so. How can you be a TD and your employer does not respect you.

At the same token, he does not have the voice or determination to show willingness and just sweep everything under the mat.

PS: Sam, you are smart, I respect you, you always hit the nail on the head. Believe it or not, the TTFF did approach W Connection for a friendly on the 17th but I think the league did not want to push their FA cup game (carded for that same day) for the weekend instead.

Latapy knew about the Digicel Cup final a month in advance, why didn't he prepare, he had the majority of his team available. He is taken up with his personal life to much.

Flirting with girls, smoking cigarettes and playing golf and this is not a joke.

Football / Re: LA refuse to release Birchall for DCC finals.
« on: November 17, 2010, 06:17:20 PM »
From what I heard is that after the court case earlier this week the members (Marvin Andrews, Shaka Hislop, Kelvin Jack, Atiba Charles, Cyd Gray, Ian Cox, Avery John, Chris Birchall, Aurtis Whitley, Collin Samuel, Evans Wise, Anthony Wolfe, Cornell Glen, Kenwyne Jones and Stern John) will never get the chance to play for T&T again. Off course some of these players are to old and have retired.

Before the ruling Birchall and Glen was sure to join T&T, but that changed and Jack Warner gave clear instructions, none of the blacklisted players will get a call up until further notice.

Anthony Wolfe position is also questionable but might be an exception. ?

Latapy said none will be missed and is focus on getting the job done.

When I asked David Muhammad whats the situation he said, mind your business.

Football / FA deny £400k World Cup bonus plans.
« on: October 10, 2009, 05:19:05 AM »
FA deny £400k World Cup bonus plans.
By Soccernet staff.

The Football Association have denied reports that they are negotiating a deal which would earn England players a World Cup bonus of £400,000 each if the Three Lions triumph in South Africa next year.

Saturday's newspapers suggested the FA are earmarking £5.5 million to be split between the 23-man squad should England win the World Cup for the first time since 1966.

That would see each member collect a tidy sum, although in some cases it is not even a month's wages for their clubs.

It could also be argued the FA would gain far more through increased exposure and the sponsorship that would follow from having the world's number one team.

However, it seems the speculation is premature, with the FA claiming discussions have yet to take place over the bonus structure.

"We are surprised by today's stories, as the fact is that to date there have not been any meetings, discussions or indication given regarding any payments of World Cup bonuses," said FA director of communications Adrian Bevington.

The reason why I am posting this is, our 2006 WC players have a court date with the TTFF on October 16th.

I had to sign in and compliment you on this well written one Flex. I agree with everything you say here.

I guess the WRONG Muhammed is the manager of the TTFF. The right one should be Mohammed..  ;)

Btw.

Spoke to a little bird and he confirmed that "Jack Warner lost interest in the T&T senior team a long time ago, he said the big prize is the under 20 team especially the opening match vs Egypt where alot of money is going to be made.

He also told me Zoran Varnes don't like Anton Corneal to much because he is always underminding his work. The last shake up with the technical staff of the under 20 team affected the team members, but they are starting to rebound, I guess it affected them in the South America tour.

Team arrived at the International Airport of El Salvador on February 4 at 9:46 in the evening via flight CM 870. And will stay at the Radisson Plaza Hotel in the Salvadoran capital.

Training on the 5 to 9 February at the stadium Jorge "magic" González from 9:00 to 11:00 in the morning and 4:00 to 6:00 in the afternoon.

Scheduled to leave on February 12 at 7:34 am, Flight CM 871.

Glen, Wolfe, Jagdeosingh, Pacheco, Connell, Primus, Noel and Peltier was wanted by a few clubs in Argentina. Dont know the outcome as yet, will find out once they return to T&T.

Pacheco, Primus and Peltier was more of a age thing, because they were young the club wanted them to come on further trials.

Warner say nobody presenting solutions.A lot of people saying fire Maturana.

Solution : Lincoln Phillip

Lincoln dont stamp his authority, he supporting Maturana I'm sure.

The T&TFF were shopping for a coach since after the two legs against Bermuda but I heard that everyone they spoke to felt it was a lost cause and there isn't enough time to turn things around. So I can't see anyone hopping into the hot seat now. Maybe if the team miraculously get to the next round, they will drop the axe then as they did with Bertille.

Hello everyone. Just a little news.

Dexter Skeene, Larry Romany and Julia Baptiste should resign, the T&T pro League is heading down, slowly but surely, a very sad case. Watch this space.

As for Anton Corneal, well it seems a lot of T&T players is having a big problem with the way things are being handled (very un-professional). Expect something to happen soon if this continues. Also, players are being dropped and given no reason or insufficient reasons (not just Ince but Ancil, Guerra, Akile, Carter and Marvin Phillip too, among others). Anton Corneal is the man pulling the strings despite what he has been preaching in public. Maturana is a poppet and will end up the scape goat, if I was him I would resign, fellas, the camp has been down and players will not gel as a team if things dont change. Anton Corneal is our biggest problem right now. Imagine a dummy coaching our foreign players who are accustom being coached by top coaches in Europe. Corneal wants strictly local players who he can control.

David Mohammed is another case. Seems Jack Warner always hire some clown who he can dictate.

Spoke to Dwight the other day, more than likely he will be back and he seems very committed. He told me he got a one year extension at Sunderland (un-official)...

Strange, so far in our WCQ games our foreign players came through for us, I am not saying they are a must but they should be given a fair chance.

Not one of the TTFF members even call Kevaughn Connell to find out if he's ok....

Spoke to Gary Hunt this afternoon, he is willing to help T&T ($$) and told me he will inquire about the missing Warriors (not demand, just inquire), he hinted that he will ask Warner to call them back even if its for tryout. Not sure how that meeting went, but I will get updates soon.

Football / Kelvin Jack & Brent Sancho.
« on: January 10, 2008, 05:50:25 PM »
According to my close source, the blacklist is officially not over. I cannot say much about players involved but when I say Kelvin Jack and Brent Sancho may never play for T&T again, I stand correct hoping that I am wrong. Remember, I said may never as there is still a chance, all is not over until the fat lady sings.

Gillingham did not offer a buy out despite what they reported in the press a couple days ago as I am sure Jack might had took it. Furthermore, they (Manager/Chairman) are said to be working hand in hand with the TTFF in trying to make life miserable for both players. I cannot say much more because I do not want to make things worst for anyone.

The bonus money is a percentage of problems that kept them out. The real problem is FPATT. 16 players and now 2 targeted because the rest not strong enough to withstand the pressure. 2 started it and took the fall, the others still support but it seems they getting weaker as time goes by ? with the exception of Shaka Hislop. FPATT is very important to the future of T&T football once they maintain honesty even when Jack and Sancho is long gone. Why are the TTFF against this, God alone knows.

Chris Birchall is another case. Soon to be told.

I also saw Guerra training with the national team today and I was very pleased, he is a natural talent, glad he showed up, we lost Jemmott for a bit (and I hope he comes back with a bang, he's trying hard, Sweden division 2 club trials for him and then back to Florida before heading to Europe again, good luck to him, his passing ability is impeccable) we cannot afford to lose possibly another great or even greater talent since Latapy and maybe Jemmott.

One of Jack Warner's men is stabbing him in his back and he dont even know. He to will be surprised at who it is when or if the mark eventually buss.

There is alot to be told, but in due time.

Football / News from the Motherland.
« on: January 09, 2008, 11:02:29 AM »
Seeing that these names have been floating around the forum a while now according to my source, Kelvin Jack and Brent Sancho may never suit up for T&T again unless they change their attitudes. In other words they get/getting to bright. My source also pointed out to me even their clubs dont what much to do with them. They are very controversial to some point and always causing up a stir, again, this is what my source revealed, I know both personally and are very nice peeps however, I do not know them on a professional level. The TTFF is also not to happy with FPATT and that could be another reason, only now things looking a bit better but you never know what they really think.

As for Guerra, I had a chat with him when he returned from the UK, a very talented player indeed but his head is not right, was home sick for most part and had it not been for Peltier and Hyland, Guerra would have never even went on the trial, he couldn't get his act together, a girl thing may be. He still hangs around with trouble makers and was dropped by Fenwick a few times last season because of no shows. He may not be a bad case as Jemmott was but he is certainly taking the same path. I believe he needs to be drop from T&T and possibly Jabloteh (temporarily) and let his family put some blows on him for him to come to his senses. He should also move from the area he currently lives in. He is not getting any younger and cannot keep blaming everyone else for his mishap. You have to be a man someday, it have youths in other parts of the world younger than Guerra who would have taken any opportunity and make the best of it. I will see him on Friday, we are meeting up at Trotters, so I will asked him what happen to his latest no show. Its not to late for him to turn his life around.

I spoke to Wim 4 days after he was suspended and he was piss and told me that we will hear from him soon. He did get into a scruff-el with Lincoln which was his last straw, but if you ask me it seems the TTFF wanted to get rid of him a while now and wanted the perfect excuse. I do not think it will stand up in court as the TTFF have documented everything, from his David Nakhid episode to Lincoln. I told Wim when he was coach to insist more games he told me dont worry he knows what he doing, he had a "big boy" way about him no one liked. Maybe it was a language barrier thing because he seems ok at times. He did have the locals playing very well, but it seems he lack the passion and intelligence to take T&T higher. I could be wrong.

Just for argument sake, the TTFF (Wim) did call Robbie Findley but he never return the call.

Anton Corneal is no lover of foreign born players (Birchall, Boucaud) two great additions if you ask me. I hope he makes me eat my words. Anthony Noreiga, Carlos Edwards, Osei Telesford and Silvio Spann, why call injured players or players who havn't played for the longest. We have other players who could have taken their place and cost cheaper at that too.

Leslie Fitzpatrick who I feel cannot make any T&T side, is on trial with some lower division team in Holland.

Collin Samuel is still in Scotland, spending time with his wife.

Jerrel Britto looks sure to get a contract with Portsmouth. His age will benefit him as he may not need much because he will not he signing as a full professional player.

W Connection left for Brazil for pre-season.

If you ask me the players did not look to brisk in training. But Anton had them do light work, still some of them looked like a good perge might help.

Believe me when I say that Michael McComie is a clown.... Anton Corneal is 100 times better.
