I thought I red somewhere on the forum that FS said that Darryl Trim was released? but I am sure I so him came on for Central yesterday?

Angus Eve really learn well under Fenwick, they play a fighting untidy game with no tecnical flow, just hard kicking and knocking.

I went to the game last night, Central didn't look to bad, but from having a potent midfield, probably one of the best in the country you would expect more than just draws, even though they fail to convert many chances. They would have lost, they lucky they got a penalty.

I predict they will not win the league or even place second. I hope I am wrong, Terry Fenwick is not technically a good coach. But next season if they have the same team they would be a force. So too is Jabloteh and a young Rangers.

I saw Angus Eve got kicked out, I was leaving already so I did not see what exactly happended, I think he was protesting the penalty?

Peltier I think scored for Central, but the ball looked like it went in, but the ref says no, the goalie got a touch on it to, but with no goal-line technology I doubt they could protest that.

Marcano and Central was disappointed to watch especially in the first game, that final 3rd they just not connecting.

Caesar was good to watch.

Winchester came on as a sub and was the reason they got a penalty.

I think North East Stars got some bad calls?

Football / Re: Epic! Costa Rica tops T&T for U-20 WWC berth
« on: January 29, 2014, 05:43:06 AM »
Far too much unrealistic expectations on the U-20 Women.

The fact is that with any developing program the Nation lacks depth. We do not have two players for every position, nor do we have players who can change a game off the bench tactically.

Once TT lost the starting Gk & their Central defender (strong player), the game lost its balance.

Better Nations in the womens game can rotate a squad of 16-18 + players comfortable. Affording rest & recovery.

They can also as a team keep possession for long periods & rest. We can do neither. We rotate about 13 -14 players at best. If two injured you rotate 12. Not strong enough for an International Tournament with 4 games in 10 days.

No coach can compensate for that.

Hart, we look forward to you in the new year.

For the first time in 7 years have I felt so good about a T&T coach.

I like your interview and I hope you are given the tools to do your job as you would like.

Good luck.

An extraordinary gentleman.

Great work Flex to highlight Sheldon accomplishments, we need to give him time and stop being so quick to condemn.

If after a year still hasn't improved then off course we could query.

I believe things has gotten better since his appointment.

One thing though, Sheldon must move himself away from the dead beats or else his rep will get burn to.

He needs to get a good management team onboard to assist him and mean what he says and say what he means.

He cannot do it alone, LP tried and it did not work, this is T&T we are dealing with.

As a cash strapped organization, the TTFA gave all they could so when others criticize their efforts, I have one question: what was Lasana's contribution?

Palo Seco won 1-0 vs UTT.

Oh so that was Roopie….

Amwood, what's your impression of him?

Thought he had some nice touches, but there was literally no space out there to play....as a man who enjoys seeing a beat or two, he may be quite the entertainer, as a coach, I would be more interested in seeing if there is an end product to his approach.

Went to the Brazuca launch and was impress by Roopie touches, he is a good box type player and will cause a lot of trouble in the final third, he also has a good left foot. I believe Central should take a chance with him as he will grow into their system pretty well and will add some flair to Central game both him and Winchester will be good. He will get more complete once given the chance to play regular and around a pro team, good investment.

I was also impress with the fact that he does extra work after training, that shows discipline and determination.

« on: November 11, 2013, 06:41:19 PM »
I was told from a good source that DeLeon will be called up again by T&T in January.

I have also spoken to someone close to him and he is starting to change his mind, he knows that he will not be called up by USA and by the time the next world cup comes about who knows what could happen. His interest is starting to change.

He know that USA has at least 8 to 10 top strikers over him, Jozy Altidore, Terrence Boyd, Clint Dempsey, Aron Johannsson, Eddie Johnson, Chris Wondolowski, Landon Donovan, Mike Magee, Jack McInerney and Aron Johannsson.

Nick has scored just 2 goals this season, so he knows his US dream might never happen.

I didn't know Nick was born just 2 days before the Abu Bakr coop, youth man.  :D

Stay tuned.

I've heard that Sheldon Phillips has had a brainwave of making the JA home game a testimonial for Carlos Edwards and Chris Birchall. It will be their last international. Problem is, he hasn't asked them if they want this. Also, does he realise that a testimonial means the players will get the gate (or a large cut of the gate?).

It's a great idea to honour the players but, again, I don't think he's thought it through. If people attend to pay homage to Carlos and MeMum, they will expect their entrance fee to go to them.

I don't think Sheldon is a crook, he seems like a very decent guy, but I think he has the wrong people around him who may even be setting him up. Also, he really wants TTFA to get praise, so much so that he's not willing to bring others on board to share the praise. But with a dodgy crew around him, he's gonna end up as the fall guy! I know his father have high praises for Tim Kee though but they will not bring in someone capable of outshinning them.

I also heard that Terrance Marcelle is on the verge of opening a Sport Store in San Fernando.

As for the League.

The Pro League have introduced a player of the month and coach of the month award. The coach award is sponsored by BlueWaters. Coach gets $500 plus a nice trophy. Not sure who sponsors the player award or how much they win.

They presented Sept and Oct yesterday at the Toyota launch. Not sure who got the September awards but Fenwick and Winchester got the October awards.

At the Toyota classic launch Central were one of four seeded clubs. They were drawn at home to Joe Public. But the game will be played at Marvin Lee Stadium, while, W Connection and Club Sando will play their home games at Ato Boldon. There will be other games at Marvin Lee where none of the teams will have an advantage or disadvantage.

I heard that Central have written a strong letter of complaint about how can a home team play at the away teams home stadium?

I heard that Dexter Skeene threw that complaint in the delete folder.

To me, it wouldn't matter if it was a grass field, but JP will clearly have a massive advantage by playing on the plastic pitch.

I believe, fair enough if they're the home team, but how can that be a home advantage to Central, a team I am a big supporter off.

Finally, it's not even in their region! So, again, no home advantage! Guaya play North East in Guaya. Point play at home in Point. W.Conn play at home in Ato, but Central play JP in Macoya??

Sometimes I feel Jack is still pulling the strings in football.

How Terrance Marcelle de assistant coach not traveling with de team.

 :D

Marcelle went to training with the national under 15 and the police came and escorted him off the field and from the compound. The center of excellence where he was a coach had a game with Palo Seco and they stop the match untill he left the venue.

Well my source told me I that the reason the TTFA has not announced the official attendance or figures from our "I Support Akeem" drive is because the LOC has yet to meet and have its post event analysis.

They will actually meet today as this was the first available date where everyone in the group can meet.

So, there is nothing nefarious going on, they just want the group charged with organizing the event to get the information first before it is shared with the public.

In addition, the so called "source" Lasana indicated is wrong, I was told that Sheldon never really promised to meet with the Adams family on October 18. I know first hand that he and Tim Kee have been in touch with two family members, Ivan Dick and Sherwyn Humpries. They received information on the RBC account Akeem's mother set up and will direct the funds to that account.

There is no need to have a special meeting as its already been conveyed that they can come by at any time and the TTFA have the account information.  In these types of cases, there is always an element that seems to bent on muddy the waters and bring confusion to well intended plans.

BIG TEAM !!!!!!!!!

However....

Spending all that money to bring all these players for ONE GAME !!!!!

I hope they plan this better in the future, they need to utilize the money better.

Glad to see Rundell and Cordell there.

Ministry playing games Sam. They only concern about getting Newspaper coverage & then not coming through with promises.

The TTFA could not take a chance on playing two games, because the money PROMISED from Ministry could only cover one game & still they will have to wait for the money. Like pulling teeth.

You guys feel Anil Roberts easy but no one wants to say anything yet and only buying time for him to lose his position.

The man evil dread and is still controlled by Jack Warner, amazing how Jack still has a strong hold over Anil after all these years I am sure Anil repaid him already but still continues with the politics.

Kamla scared to do anything because she does not want anyone crossing the floor to join Jack's party.

The Point game was a mess.

Point game: One gate open to let everyone in. Pure madness. Then later almost kick off time, they open a second gate.

Seating was placed behind the goal under tents, with just two temporary bleachers.

Man eh bringing children & women to games no toilet, no cover nothing.

No vendors, one nuts man come late in the game.

Saying that, Point people supporting their team & they have a fan based organized and willing to travel.
If I was Kamla I tell Point now, I will build a stands for 2000, with lights for the Mahica & that alone will bring nuff votes hahahahh

Game quality was okay, but slow and lack and imagination, plenty side to side possession.

pro League disorganized: Weekly schedules & inconsistent.

Overall at present in the pro league, it have very few individuals, people will pay to watch. Fans want to see stars and outside of Marcus Joseph & Rundell Winchester from Central (now Learning), it have very little quality.

Central look the most organized team, with a solid plan of attack & defense. Not pretty but effective.

W Connection & NE Stars have good organization defensively & show good possession, but don't know how to attack with penetration.

As for the Super League overall quality poor, not much different from pro league. The gap small.

Funny enough Siparia have a nice side doing good things, but need a real striker.

Football / Re: Joevin Jones
« on: September 25, 2013, 01:44:14 PM »
The issue is not the fact that he played Minor League. Its the fact that he is a so called professional & his club played that night. Also it was stated in the press that his club felt Joevin need a rest from football.

I also found out Cyrus played in the same game for the same team.

People who say minor league contributing to their football growth, are out of touch with modern football.

Ask them to identify top class world International footballers who leaving their clubs to play minor League.

What will contribute to their football growth is games in the CONCACAF Champions League, where incidentally Joevin was one of the worst performers on view for his club.

Football / I heard the Saudi trip is in jeopardy.
« on: August 27, 2013, 06:52:58 AM »
I heard the Saudi trip is in jeopardy as the airfares have not yet been provided by Anil and co. Everything else is covered by the Saudis.

Remember the political game that's going on:

Anil is Jack's boy.
Jack would want to see TTFA fail.
Kamla can't attack Anil as she can't afford for him to cross the floor.
Jack can attack PP govt for not supporting sport.
Jack can be the saviour of football once again if his party gets into power.

Food for thoughts guys.

Also, there is a rumour that Point Fortin have been given $150k by the Regional Corporation and Anil has promised them $300k. That will cover their entry fees to the pro league. I also heard that Anil will give them a subvention.

If this is the case, then teams like Central FC could sue or be eligible for the same.

The writing is on the wall guys, Jack Warner is still in control of T&T football.

Sadly, this man has to die for a bright light to shine on T&T football once again. He is trying to make life hard on everyone.

He is like Satan and Anil Roberts is the grim-reaper.

Unless the TTFA becomes more sustainable, they will always be in these sort of predicament.

As for the T&T league.

To be honest, Dexter Skeene may not be the best man for the job, but he is very isolated. David John Williams and Jamaal Shabazz bully him and Daryll Mahabir supports them. Ross Russell doesn't care either way. Williams and Shabazz won't work to promote the league, just themselves. That is the wrong approach. The League must prosper, then the clubs will get the ancillary benefits.

Unfortunately, their motto is All for one and f**k the others!!

Football / Re: Melons more than Football.

After the photos were posted on Facebook, SPORTT sent someone to quickly cut the grass. The security and people there can vouch for this 100%. The security may not say much though, because of his job. They wanted to do this because media was trying to get in so they wanted it to look like it was being taken care off.

I spoke with Blake yesterday and he told me that it costs $50,000 a month to cut the grass and fertilize the field and that they are normally on top of it.

He told me they sometimes use sub pumps to drain the field so it does not flood as the drainage is really poor.

He said the Larry Gomes and Hasely Crawford will be ready next week.

And they are going to start working on Manny on Monday.

I heard from a close source that the budget his made to cover all of these miscellaneous stuff and when money is pass on to get the job done these guys pocket the money and with Anil there who does not care, he does not follow up to see if the job is done and just take the word of the person responsible. They then take the 50 grand and enjoy themselves every month with it, free money with no accountability.

Football supporter, let me make this clear.

1. I was a valid supporter of Terry Fenwick.

2. I really like Central.

3. I was impress by what I saw the first time I went there which was at the beginning of Fenwick.

I did not make this up.

There are a lot of truth in this. I also got this from a close source.

This, what I posted in not personal.

Apparently, Fenwick is an Englishman like yourself and I have nothing against you guys, I love the English stern organise way, but I hope it is not clouding your judgment on him. Maybe you need to secretly attend training sessions and a few and come back here and prove me wrong.

I am sure some of these things are very true.

I also mentioned, maybe Terry needs to act like this because the players are not discipline ?

The players do not respect Terry Fenwick, especially the establish ones.

Terry Fenwick style is old school and he does not know how to speak with players and therefore they do not respect him.

These players cuss Fenwick during training and there is always a fight in Central training sessions. This is a joke guys, no other Pro League teams you will see this. I am talking in every practice sessions there are physical fighting, hand passing.

Fenwick is always on time and he is organized but he cannot coach Trinidad and Tobago, he tried to intimidate players instead of just training them. He treat the players in T&T with a slavery mentality.

There is a lot of thieving going on in the club locker room and the players have no discipline, so maybe this is why Terry uses this tactics? They have no behavior and I cant believe Sancho will allow this.

Central have to be crazy to pay Terry $5,000 USD per month that money could be better utilized and hire some decent local coach, get rid of the players with poor attitudes and build again as they could be bad examples for the younger ones.

Some players show up late and do not get fine while some do.

They need a Technical Director and who will overlook Terry Fenwick and the team performance.

Brent Sancho have control of the club I think but gives Terry to much power. Kevin Harrison needs to get involved and stick around in the sessions more often before he comes here to reply to me ( ) .

Fenwick had the money with Jabloteh and support and was successful but now that the playing field is leveled out Terry flaws is showing.

For example do you think any foreign players who were there will ever return to Central. I have spoken to a few and you will not believe.

Some of the top players in the league is; Joevin, Glen, Rundell, Trim, Teesdale (Kenwyne cousin), Sebro, Cyrus, Kareem Joseph, Devon Modeste, Belgrave, Gonzales to name a few.

Teesdale should be on the national side.

North East Stars and Defence Force have the best team chemistry despite not being the best team technically.

Nothing is finalize yet, but its in work.
