Football / Re: Sunderland Vs Chelsea 15March08
« on: March 15, 2008, 12:27:51 AM »
especially since teams are figuring Sunderland's ONLY way of scoring - either Jones, or through Jones.  So double, triple, anything, but make sure Jones is NEVER free, and you basically SHUT DOWN Sunderland's offense.  Isn't that sad, and that is why the 4-5-1 isn't working anymore.  Previously teams didn't pay "much" attention to Jones (they didn't know how deadly he is), but with the addition of a few stunning goals, and Keane's big mouth to boot, Sunderland are in the mess they're in now.  Here's to Carlos doing what he does best and TEAR UP DE WING BABY!!! :beermug:

Keane seemed to have a reality check after all da talk de other day.   I really think is would be fair to Sunderland (and Carlos, if he wants) to let him rest.  If Carlos wants to come, let him!  Jones would be okay to come, but we also need to look at other strikers (we are deep in this department).  Let's not get bitter with other clubs, we should be professional about it, because we need to start building on other players, and not depend solely on the int'l players.

IF HE PLAYS???  Ha, man Keane need a KNOCK in his head if mih boi doh play!!!  I guess Edwards just being bashful, but yuh more than ready Carlos.  You're going to TEAR IT UP next year.  I know you're going to have a few butterflies, but you already played against the best and in front of thousands (World Cup), so that should give you some help.  You're going to do your thing, just trust in God and believe, cuz you're a SOCA WARRIOR BABY!!!

Football / Re: 4-4-2 is my pick for the paraguay match!!!
« on: June 17, 2006, 12:44:40 AM »
my lineup

Shaka / Jack(would like him to get a sweat)

John                      Sancho/Andrews              Lawrence                           Gray

Edwards                 Yorke                             Birchall                              Whitley
                            Glen                               John

Glen will start this game no doubt, he might be a lil selfish, but he still cause them defenders some therapy with his speed and beadsing.   Latas HAVE to get a sweat, and prolly Wise too.   But thas just my opinion....It's up to Don Leo...SOCA WARRIOR FUH LIFE!!!!!!

2006 World Cup - Germany / Re: Game Plan
« on: June 14, 2006, 11:55:38 PM »
Ok here's my lineup

                                                          Hislop

Cox                                Sancho                          Lawrence                           Gray

                                                         Yorke

Edwards                      Whitley                     Birchall (Latas 2nd half)    (Jones 2nd half sub)Samuel/Wise

                                                          John

We start off like this but don't drop back too much like the Sweden game because we are going to pay...which is where the effectiveness of the midfield will matter A LOT....would be great if we have a scoreless first half, much better if we score without conceding any goals.   Second half bring in Jones if we eh score not goals with Latas and put him up front with John (Glen can also be a possibility) but I would like to see Latas get a sweat and bring the midfield together.  But what can I say, it's up to da Don to do his magic and with the wisdom of God on his side, we will be able to pull off a win.  I would really like to see Whitley start tho.

Football / THIS IS FUNNY....A MUST READ!!!
« on: June 13, 2006, 10:48:11 PM »
I've been reading lately (especially after the Trinidad vs. Sweden game) 8) of Erikkson's talk about playing Rooney in the Trinidad game.  From what I've read is that there was an agreement between Erikkson and Ferguson not to play rooney in the first round....but since Trinidad doesn't look like "three points" as quoted by British tabloids, and a disappointing game against Paraguay, Sven seems to be getting a little desperate...he is about to play to two next best teams in the group and they cannot afford to lose neither, so right now he's in the HOT SEAT :P :D!!!

It makes me smile to read this....TRINI FUH LIFE!!!!!

Irony is a funny thing  ;D

it's funny because I REALLY WANTED SANCHO TO START....but then again it is said for the expense of Andrews tho ( although i wanted him to start in front of Andrews because of his speed and aggressiveness).

Football / T&T's starting XI for the World Cup
« on: April 13, 2006, 06:49:50 PM »
Here's mines

GK:  Shaka Hislop (doin real well with West Ham and is getting a lot of playing time as compared to the others)

Defenders:   Marvin Andrews,(improve on passing, too much long balls, but great defender)
Avery John, (needs to improve on passing, but good overall)
Dennis Lawrence,  (can't forget da man who took us there, capable of scoring goals)
Brent Sancho    (strong and aggressive, very good on man coverage)

Midfielders:   Latas  (we need da magician on the team)
                 Birchall (great shooter, ball handler)
Spann (Benedict's is mih alma matta and he's great...hope he recovers well from injury)
Whitley  (i see him as a star in da premier league, no doubt)

Strikers:     Yorke (he's da captain of da team, thas all  ;))
John ( looking very good with coventry right now, consistently on scoreboard....hope he can continue this form to da WC)

so give a reason and why please ppl :)

I like Rougier and his die hard attitude.....I think he would be a great asset to this team.  Surprised Glen is there, but I like him tho.  Kinda sad Sealy is not there :(

Dem fellas really play down to de football ah flippin' Bahrain....it look like back in de days b4 Beenhaker came into da mix.  Holes in da defense, Stern getting shot out, and midfield non-existence and to top it off, da Warriors not playing with i.e. not looking fuh a win and throwing away chances.  But now it is too Bahrain & i just hope that by this time next week I'll be adorned in RED, BLACK & WHITE!!!!

GOOD LUCK WARRIORS
PLAY Y'ALL GAME, PLEASE!!!!!! :'(
