TTFA Statement.
TTFA Media.

The Trinidad and Tobago Football Association wishes to state that following several hours of  its statutory Board Meeting on Wednesday evening at the Association’s Head Office, it is yet to come to a final decision on the selection of the Trinidad and Tobago Men’s Senior Team Head Coach.

The TTFA expects to make an announcement on the selection by this coming weekend.

http://ttfootball.org/2017/01/18/ttfa-statement-2/

Yet another indictable development. As if Trinidad & Tobago football has the luxury of these cumulative delays. We are all witnesses to a perversion of governance.

At this rate, Saintfiet will be announced in another position before our friends at the federation would have made public a final decision.

ha ha - with his personal trainer in tow.....

Same assistant coaches?

33
this is a good sign. it gives an indication that djw would be willing to pay more for a coach if he can find one that will work under his constraints. this speaks to the question I posed in the other thread about what the current administration is willing to pay for a coach. so we know from this a coach could get more than saintfiet ..... however, troussier was out of reach. but there appears to be some latitude.

Your optimistic viewpoint of the dictator is touching.. it almost brought a tear to my eye...

There is no latitude, he's not willing to invest in a better coach or support Hart... his goal is not to get a good coach and qualify ... there's only one way to spell corruption...

If we accept de premise that djw "taking bribes" to make money when de team lose, what price this C-team getting? With no coach? Makes no sense.

Hanlon's Razor.

Check the odds on that Suriname match and check if you bet 100 on it what would be your return?

We will have a coach, qualifiers are not until march... the dictator announcing this week...

lololololololololololololololol.................So he's doing all this to bet against TnT games to win money

Why don't you ask him or is he keeping you on a short leash?  :D

Match fixing is part of it you fool... did I say that was the only corruption involved here?

Take your meds before you come nah

contro, yuh see all de talk about kompromat in de news? if djw involved in match-fixing, whomever take that bet have it over djw. dey can pull de rug out whenever dey choose. it don't make sense for djw to get into this situation .... unless he either very trusting or very broke.

it looks like djw try for troussier and fail and didn't really have a plan b candidate so dey "choose" saintfiet. dey need to put de work in to get a better choice of candidates.

Saintfiet was the default choice for the job as the Trinidad & Tobago Football Association reportedly couldn't afford Frenchman Philippe Troussier's salary terms, and the TTFA technical committee that was working on the coaching hire -- via Google -- questioned whether the other candidates, Colombians Luis Suarez and Eduardo Lara, spoke English.

if djw ready to spend money on a coach, in particular if he free up the purse strings a bit, Hart will have challengers. "what is de budget?" I feel should be the first question.

They won't tell us the budget, it's a secret, I've already asked is question ....

contro, we know saintfiet not getting paid much. i'm not asking about the current budget. i'm asking about when djw want to start spending what that budget will be for a head coach. if the dictator decide is time to spend money, what kind of coach that could bring.

if he thinks he can continue to limp and still make any improvements in the coaching, that is a contradiction. then it will be a string of coaches of the same quality as saintfiet.

just like jai john said in the other thread - cheep ting no good and good ting no cheep -  :)

How long is the tenure for the TTFA president?

In other words, when is the next election? Who are the possible candidates that may pose a credible challenge? Is anybody else genuinely interested?

Those persons should be mobilizing now, not to agitate, but to start to communicate their philosophy for the future and present an alternative. The removal of incumbency is anchored in a process and those persons need to start to address stakeholders earlier rather than later.
Stephen Hart should be the president .I think he is not a thief and has no hidden agendas .

no offence quags, but hart would be de bernie sanders of any ttfa elections. he would make all de fans feel good but wouldn't stand much of a chance with all de club owners. none of de vested interests would support him. and fans have zero leverage with de vested interests.

so de best thing is to start a "fire so and so" thread for each potential candidate.

Honestly doh, we could beat Nicaragua with this team, they not all that special at present..even St Kitts and Antigua ranked higher and they haven't had a ton of practice games to improve on this or themselves.  Thing is, if we do beat them the supporting public will think the right decisions was made (till fire bun we in March), if we don't beat them, "the man new, just learning the team". I still hoping we win, cause competition for places is always good.

Allyuh sleep on Nicaragua.

Nicaragua beat Jamaica 3-2 in Jamaica in the 3rd round of WCQ

They lost the return leg at home 2-0 to lose overall on aggregate.  This was a Jamaica with their foreign contingent as well
the office is no longer the fortress that it was. Jamaica lost to Panama and Costa Rica at the office in the run up to the hex, remember?

CR and Panama rank #1 and #4 in the conference

If DJW has nothing to hide why not have a one on one interview with Lasana or some other journalist to repudiate the claims in the article?

Petty preaction letters simply mean he has a soft spot that going and be targeted now.
Was fighting the media part of his transparency campaign?

Watch now all the people inside the TTFA who not liking how he doing things going and start leaking EVERYTHING.

How in the 21st century you could go on legal record asking a journalist for his source? Not smart.
What in the next letter....stop putting my letters in the forum
