Why was Nakhid fired the first time from the National team? Because he spoke up. He stood up to the power that be and he was cut down. I know everyone is in support mode - there I say bandwagon  mode - so we will all suuport until we lose and then you will see the forest for the trees. Many of us think he was no good as a player for T&T ( I have read many posts here), yet anyone that knows anything about football knows that he has been our most technical player. Now he says things that we don't want to hear, and that the higher up don't want to hear and he is punished again. Leo is talking out his rear when he says Nakhid is no longer needed, because scouting is over. Crap.
If this is the case, then he was never needed. Why? Because we played Gautemala and was hammered, therfore they know how to beat us, we know  what we have to work on to beat them. We beat Panama so we know how to beat them- they need to figure out how to beat us. They would not do that trying to beat Mexico or USA. We saw Panama and the USA play so many games in the Commonwealth cup. We are just persecuting anyone that is not in support of the team, or our cause. So what if Nakhid express some personal opinion. A disclaimer and we move on.

If the Bahrain defender are tall, why would we want to play crosses in the air? Even if Jones start, what are the odds of him winning a cross 2v1?  How good is he in the air? Can our wingers provide consistent, quality crosses?  It is simple to play against tall defenders, we just need to be smart. Leo knows how this can be done. We have the Mf to change our game plan and score.

I can't understand us. We fire Nakhid and bulls**t*** him. Now why we care about what he do. Now, I am not saying that if he take such a job he is right. But what should he do? Just sit around playing with his b*lls. We have aways treated Nakhid unfairly. So why should he owe us anything? He is just a passionate guy who expresses himself. Are we not allowed to do that anymore in T&T?

We need to play a 3-1-4-2. We need to dominate the midfield. This formation is where the counter will come from if we have to be cautious. Or we could go with a 3-2-3-2. So we play numbers up and numbers down. The 4-4-2 will be fine if we let a midfielder sit.

Why we want to argue which team was/is better. What did the 1990 team achieved? What has the 2006 team achieve? After the 12th and the play off rounds then we can say who the better team was/is.

Trinidadians use small goal in the wrong teaching manner. Small goal was developed to teach movement off the ball. Our problem all over the field is proper technique. We can play but it's slip shod. We need to become more proficient technically so that we can be more consistent in the game.Most goals scored at home is from a forward straight on at goal. Look where Yorke scored most of his goals for Man U from.

     It's all good that we have introduced more National Youth Teams, but where are the players going to come from, how are they going to be developed? The clinics are good, but better have to be done. Kids need to be playing all the time. We need to establish proper youth league within the communities. In the US there are Rec. leagues where anyone interested in playing can play. It is not necessarily to provide competitions, but to generate interest in the game. We need to have something like this going. Then they have Select team or Travel teams. These teams are for the players who are better and are more competitive. The select teams are divided into division 1, division 2, and division 3. The division 1 players work to make it to the Olympic Development Program (ODP. From these programs -ODP- all over the US players are selected to the National Teams.
      We also need to have soccer year round. More tournaments for high school kids in the off season would be a plus. Also, the SSFL needs to be revamped. The US college leagues are successful because they are design to provide soccer games at maximun level, and to provide teams with success. We need to provide specific goals and objective to kids as to what can be achieved by working tediously at football.

I use to look at her play for Caridoc Stingray, she had great skills. Have not seen her play in like 4 year so I don't know. But we would be playing her team next week so I will let you all know first hand how she did.
