Football / Re: Fabio Capello resignation
« on: February 09, 2012, 05:42:26 PM »
I like most watch the priemer league every weekend, I am a MANU fan however I am not a fan of the English national team they are just not good enough. Capello needed to go his team selection and tactics were very poor. The interrim coaching job has been given to Staurt Pearce he may very well end up getting the job full time. I dont think Harry Redknap will take the job he is right wear he wants to be with a team in the Champions league (barring any mishaps of form with spurs) Roy Hogdson can`t handle big name players, had Martin Oneil not taken that job recently at sundenland he may have been a good candidate

Gally needs to shut up because he also failed when we needed only a draw at home to qualify with the strike squad

trinis really dont know what they want jack gone finally and some having mixed doubt asking what will happen to we football and all kinds of nonsense, if you think that Jack spent his own money on TNT football then you must need you head examined, that money allocated to trinidad and toabgo football, where will our football be without jack well where are with him, at the bottom looking up with that i say be gone satan good bye adios so long and is only so long before they get you out of that big budget ministry

Rat boy yuh really bring back meh grade land memories, Jeffrey was a boss player before he went off, and I witness madee give man red card before the game start. Rat weh yuh from ? the 'Corro? yuh seem to know a lot about football in the area.. some of the best players pass thru right they in grade land.. of  course me boy mickey rat, sean and nigel mcleshie, roger john, sean euzeube, even whitley played with young hearts in grade land. In addition to them players Mico had men like monkey, miguel hackett (army) ,rambo (army) and puckerin (army), jacko.. one of the best to ever save in Aranguez, steve francette (tolleram), mello ..talk bout bomb squad, we used to rule Aranguez, the savannah pack when Mico playing, especially when they playing Survival, that was like a FA final everytime.
college i can`t remember rambo playing with mirco in Aranguez

I must say yes we had the talent i can`t say for now because i have not seen the a local games in many many years but i would say again we had players on par with other countries to include some european countries, having lived in germany for a few years i can truly say had some our players born there they would have been superstars, our talented players started loosing interest in 80`s so the younger players had no yard stick to measure to locally and the reason why ....JACK THE TNT FOOTBALL KILLER AND HIS HENCE MEN..and you older heads know this to be true the criminal started back in the day when level brother grounds used to be filled with paying folks, the criminal pass and take all the gate money, he ban pro pioneers, he ban asl league he ban sammy, if i cant get a piece of the action he out law you, look at the world cup fiasco players still cant get they money that the cancer of TNT FOOTBALL ........

All i have to say is there is no replacement for skill and KJ is very very limited in the skill department his positional play is not good he needs to read the game more, his ball control is non exsistant

To does that think that Jack Warner is really about helping TnT football you are sadly mistaken that man is all about himself the standard of football in trinidad and tobago has not improved in the last 10yrs maybe more what system have he put in place to assist in the development of the game none that i can see, Eddie Hart in my opinion has done more for football than jack, now he wants to play politician nothing wrong with ambition but at who expense john public and the idiots who are easily bought

bleeder afraid of challenges scared to be away from TnT, some how I get the feeling that he thinks that he a big fish in a small pond. He scared of failure so he does try full heartily and he is not the first player from TnT to do so I give credit to Sancho for sticking it out when a lot us said he should come home

we need a coach who understands the culture of the people and can create or enhance the brand of football that is best suited to make the team successful, I think that Russell has the insights and know how to have this done and take the team forward in a positive way provided that he has matured and can put his demons to rest for the betterment of TNT football

Don' t get me wrong. I want Latas to succeed.
But you are saying that he has the insights and know how to take the team forward based on him being one of, if not, the best player we ever had and him being the assistant to the reserve coach at Falkirk?

No sir not based on being the best player but being player who has come to distinguish the trini style of play every country must play to there strengths our problem is that we have always tried to play everybody else brand not ours, why do we need to turn to foregin coaches when we have very cable ones right there in TnT, the players already respect latas and know him as he knows them. Once again i stress his biggest challenge will be his own personell demons and his commitment to the improvement to our football can he get past those things will be left to be seen

Football / Re: T&T's best ever Central Defender.....who would that be?
« on: September 30, 2008, 01:35:51 PM »
For me personally I would have say clayton (JB) Morris and yes he started at left back but shifted to central defence however i do agree that Figaro, Russell Tesheira were both very good but I give Morris the edge he was very consistant and he did have as good of a supporting cast as Figaro that's not knock Brian Williams he was excellent but the others at most times were not very good but they were OK. Morris benefited from being at ASL and playing with likes of Stewart Charles who to me is the best defender I have seen played in Trinidad and Tobago we should have give Charles citizenship then would made to WC in 1990. Not since Morris have there been any defender that who reads the game as well. Carlyle Andrews was also a very good reader of the game and I think he decided to his studies instead if I am not mistaken there were some problems with him at LIU can`t remember the details. To those whose said tallest or Dog please don`t insult the footballing intelligence of the folks on this forum

yes yes guys I know the stories about Downer but lets give his kudos as a ref and contributor to Trinidad and Tobago football as man he needs to check his morality

Can't comment on de 70s, but we cut dey backside many times in de 80s in de mang, so by def. that makes us one of the best in de 80s  , I'd certainly say so since apart from Army and Oilboys, we produced a healthy # of national ballers

The Civic Centre i'm talking about i don't think Ball Players played in that league at that time,Ball Players came out afterwards, why i'm saying that is because i don't remember ever playing against Ball Players, they were in another league,if Ball Players played Civic Centre it had to be after all those guys were gone.My memory not to good but could you mane some senior national players that Ball Players produced,i already know of Alaby.

Mid to late 80s Coops, they were in the same league along w/Army, Trintoc, Coffee Giants, Police, etc, several threads ago I had enquired about this.  Anyway, the other nationals (apart from Alibey) spanning a few years include Faustin, Noel, R. Charles (RIP), and others, College could help meh out w/the other names, those are the ones I recall off the top of my head

Yeah, the players dey mention from PFCC was before the time of them players yuh calling from BBP, the
I saw sammy and sherif lobo about two sundays ago at a back party in brooklyn they looked fairly good for there age if fact lobo told that his son had a pretty decent game should make an impact on the National team soon
