yeh i c ya point Feliziano , i would love to see we play san marino. latapy would have rel fun and stern would just rip up di net  :rotfl:

1052
lol, after tobago stern might overtake pele on goals

I know some people may say we are getting ahead of ourselves but its just a question and i would like to see peoples views. lets say we have qualified and u can pick 6 friendlies from december to May who would they be against and why???

heres mine.

Nigeria: we should play a typical/strong west african side as there are a few in the draw.
Morocco: they would be a good test, african nations runners up, there style is closer to european than most african teams.
Austria: not an amazing power but still a decent european side who have plenty experience playing the big boys.
Bosnia: an emerging european side who just missed out on the play-off and we need to play european teams as 7 of the 8 groups in the world cup will contain 2 euro teams.
Japan: asian champions, quick and can run all day, would be a big test for us.
Chile: simply to get a good wuk out against a strong south american team

a friendly against Denmark would also be good to see. to try help us solve the protection on our flanks, as u know denmark play the old style wingers hitting u from both sides they are a team that can rip u apart if u dont cover up well, would be interesting to see how beenie would deal with it.

i also think we should play nearly all these games away get used to playing outside the americas abit more

alot of teams would go for weaker teams, but i believe we should start preparing for the harshness of the world cup, if u dont come correct we will get humiliated in front the world, anyone remember 8-0 germany - saudi arabia. i aint on dat and im sure beenie isnt either ;)

i think it was mexico that dropped a man because he was suspended for the first 2 group games of the world cup, obviously if it was yorke, latapy, andrews. u would still take them, but a fringe player i dunno

yeh man, but remember what ever go on we go be bottom seeds for sure, so we will have at least 2 or maybe all the teams in the group better than us. but yeh we will need at least 4-6 friendlies between dec and may to try a few tings out. like we need to play a couple teams like austria, bosnia, maybe another 1 wid morocco, nigeria, japan that standard, not no friggin haiti and azerbajan. remember plenty african teams go be lookin for warm up b4 african nations at the start of the year. as for the team i only know the keepers and forwards i would take, i go make up my mind about def and mid after we cut bahrain's ass. also take into consideration a couple first teamers maybe injured, and as we will play the group games like finals and we wont be expected to qualify for last 16, beenie wont take any 1 who will be injured for the first 2 matches or even suspened for the first 2 matches which could happen if som1 gets sent off vs bahrain so i feel we may see 1 or 2 young local players sneek in there with good performances, specially if beenie has plans on staying long term.

yeh i always thought that the world cup should have a last 64 phase where where smaller teams have a chance to play bigger side but also weaker sides from other zones, but instead of holding it in one country hold it around the world, so u can have 1 group hosted in usa, which might have usa, slovenia, egypt and austrailia top 2 make it to the actual final stage of the world cup last 32. that way football will devlope better, more teams playing on a bigger stage against teams from other zones also teams that had no chance to win their group would be able to eliminate a team of similar abilty from elsewhere. an example  would be guatemala 5th in concacaf may have a chance to be in a group wid bosnia who are very good but had 2 good teams that prevented them from qualifyin. and it would be done in a way so the world cup counlt be all euro teams etc, but sadly its unlikely because of money and club commitments. but would be nice to see.

well to me aus have been average, the view in england is people still kinda laugh at them, but i have to say they are decent now, but in past world cup they have only had to play play off and they never win, and they havnt impressed at confed cups or friendlies so they really are nobodies, it only the last 2 years where they have come up. trinidad go through a very long hard qualification so no country can say shit, oh yeh dont bring up aus beatin england 3-1 because england arnt all dat and it was a friendly with an experimental squad so they cant keep using that as a result to gain respect from.

i dunno what they mean by they have the best league in the world? what does that have to do with anything? its all the foreign players that make la lega what it is. and spain flop at major championships anyway. they seem to forget that mexico , usa, costa rica all played well at the world cup, and we our a island of 1.2 million competing with them. no 1 can even start to deny our achivments as a nation. as for australia dont get me started, they only recently emerged as a decent team, say over the last 2 years and they are moving to AFC so that aruement is dead

yeh i know what ya sayin bro, but i will never stop supportin, ive supported them since the first time i saw them play wen i was like 6,because i grew up in london it was virtuall impossible to see them play. and i supported them wen every 1 use to make fun of them say how they shit and would never qualify. and we always knew the day would come wen they will get another chance, and lets say they dont we still supportin wether its 20, 40, 50 years.

Bobby Zamora is not class is just decent, plz show me his record, show me who hes scored goals against. the man done well at brighton and hove. until he can prove him self in the premiership i dont even wanna hear about him, and b4 som1 says some of the strikers on our squad havnt been proven in the prem, they hav however show to be good players in other top divisions and are a threat at international level.if u take zamora world cup who u leavin out? say we take 5 forwards. tell me who they go leave out. john lol jones, yorke, sealey, glen, scotland? id rather see mcfarlane go to the wc at least he scored 3 goal and contributed.

yeh man, bahrain tight but i feel we good for a 2-0 win in port of spain, then we go and grind it out in bahrain, and if we score first its as good as over. i know in trinidad they will soak in the pressure their only weapon will be the counter attack so we have to be careful, and not give away any stupid free kick around the area. i feel we will need jones alot in the away leg if its still tight.

they rel priks, those 2 goals was wen the player went off but it happends all the time in football, one of the other players should have been coverin, but if u see the stern winner v the guats did u see the 3 men unmarked at the back post, never in my life have i seen worse defending, so we punished them. so they have no 1 to blame but them selves. and all this stuff about v mexico, they seem to forget we went to mexico and played well if a couple things went differntly we could of had a draw and that was a full strength mexico who hadnt qualified yet. guatemala on the other hand played mexico in the biggest game in their history wen mexico was understrength and had already qualfiied. they scored in the 2nd minute and still got licks. and to make it worse they were basically given a point by usa. they were lucky to even get in the hex so they can piss off. they vex because they know it will be a long time b4 they get so close, they can wait 32 years as we did

the japaneese version of winning eleven is out and u can get pro evo 5 on burn. pro evo has the gameplay n ting and over here theres big tournaments n ting.i qualified for the first nation tournament, the winner got into europe. i have to say tho fifa 2006 is a decent game its the best fifa since 98. the ting i dont like with the new pro evo 5 is they never add to much new ting into the game.they add snow and orange ball now tho ;) they need to start putting in more international teams like they used to

its not if we jump ship, if another company came in and offerd to take the contract its then up to finta, they will be the ones makin money. anyway it was just somting i was tinkin of, i didnt know the history behind the deal. that they came in wen no 1 else wanted us, but it would help if they made more kits availible.
