Bobby's Bar in Diego Martin has been renamed/ tagged goLocal @Bobby's. The bar changed management in February 2011 and is now under managed by Babash Media and Events, run by a young returning Trinidadian from London Sean Annandsingh. Babash was actually a promoter of Trini events for a few years.

The space once a very popular location has now been reborn and is fast becoming the home of local arts and culture. The walls are hung with paintings by local artist Joel Lijertwood (all pieces are available for sale) and the stage area painted by both artiste Joel LIjertwood and musician/artiste Nickolai Salcedo of the band Gyazette. The background scene depicts many local known faces from Mungal Patesar, 3 Canal, Kitchener etc.

Local bands now have an additional space to showcase their talent every Saturday night and a few odd Wednesdays. On any given night it's quite possible to find a group of musicians just hanging out only to break into a lil jam session. The stage has been graced with the presence of Orange Sky, John Blood, Gyazette, Kin Sound System (formerly Kin Sibling Rivalry), 12 the Band, tassa groups, rhythm sections and many others.

The spot also has an in-house kitchen (fondly known as Homewreckers) that serves some delicious cutters on evenings: corn soup, pepper wings, seasoned steak fries, geera pork/wings/ chicken neck, gizzard, curry duck and provision, oildown... each night has a specific menu.

Note that while the establishment ensures that all performers are paid, the performances are free to the public so be sure to stop by on your visit home for the coldest beers at TT$10., delicious cutters, entertaining company and some local music...

just an update...as a result of the failing business Gayelle changed management/ownership since late last year however it was a little too late in some aspects hence they having to vacate offices...it's still a struggle but they are still on air...there have been offers to buy them out but that might mean selling out their identity to that of some of the other more popular local entertainment networks...but there's hope...so fingers crossed...

PROROGATION AND DISSOLUTION OF PARLIAMENT

68.-    1.   The President, acting in accordance with the advice of the Prime Minister, may at any time prorogye or dissolve Parliament.

2.   Subject to subsection (3), Parliament, unless sooner dissolved, shall continue for five years from the date of its first sitting after any dissolution, and shall then stand dissolved.

3.   At any time when Trinidad and Tobago is at war, Parliament may extend the period of five years specified in subsection (2) for not more than twelve months at a time; so however that the life of Parliament shall not be extended under this subsection for more than five years.

4.   Where, between a dissolution of Parliament and the next ensuing general election of members to the House of Representatives, an emergency arises of such a nature that in the opinion of the Primer Minister, it is necessary for the two Houses to be summoned before that general election can be held, the President, acting in accordance with the advice of the Prime Minister, may summon the two Houses of the preceding Parliament but the election of members of the House of Representatives shall proceed and the Parliament that has been summoned shall, if not sooner dissolved, again stand dissolved on the day on which the general election is held.

All these blasted yes men/OJT ministers just insist on trying to BS people with they foolishness.  Hunt could detail the different technical aspects of how the flag was put up but cyar say what the final cost is??!!!....look, look why de the hell I come and read this story this early in the morning and rile me up....sssstttteeeuuuupppppssssss!!!....ah say it before and I'll say it again....Gary Hunt is damn a$$!!!!....

haha, d cost start at $2m., let's see how the story begins to change...

***note to all going to the stadium from family in tobago, make sure you go an hour early because the tobago roads arnt designed for mass traffic.  Think going for an after carnival lime up toco or maracas, expect the same kind of traffic going to Dwight yorke stadium that time saturday. 

thanks for the heads up and ah hoping i get transport to head back to crown point direction AFTER d game.

okay sorry small mag thought you booked the uncovered- they were selling in 2's
  my bad

i booked uncovered. when i added to my cart i ensured i had the 2 ticket allocation in my basket, and i order for 5 people at 2 each, so i have meh 10 tickets.

the timing of my orders were between 9.07am and 9.39am, no trouble at all ( and i had to create 4 accounts - already had mines).

all dat line up to get meh ferry tickets in hand, rooms booked too, but it seems i mite havta hope ah could fly across in time for the game (hope ah get ah flight) cause my classes got rescheduled and i have mock exams on gameday (it was a free weekend before), exam d saturday after...

pressure...was so looking forward to the lime on d boat...

peeps ah hope allyuh get allyuh ferry and plane tickets already.

i went down to the port for meh ferry tickets on monday (yes brian ah know ah move late) and after i spend more than an hour in d line d girl tell me they have no tickets available to go the saturday 6th june, she take a deep breath, watch meh attire and then proceed to write down the dates and number of tickets i requested, walk to d backoffice, put d paper on somebody desk, come back to she lil sales post and proceeded to print out meh tickets.

so u tell me what happen dey?
