Football / Re: Its time to stop indulging Kenwyne Jones

Now because of Kj "descent" performance in England and well the obvious fact that he is not scoring for us  we all are sour. But you all cannot knock the young mans comittment. The EPl is very good at creating larger than life images of players or to put it bluntly, making players appear much better than they actually are.

Kj was never this potent striker that we all suddenly expected him to  be, he is a descent striker with the potential to be better. with all that said,  I find the attacks on him are unwarranted, now 4 me i would of given kerry baptiste a start yes but how many balls  have we actually crossed to jones during the whole campaign? 2?  If thats his strength we surely not playing to it and what about the countless chances that HE created  for other players against costa rica in tobago. chances that were not taken.

we are not playing to his  strengthens OK. he should get bench OK but dont make it look like the man putting in ah half shift for country and a full one for sunderland.  i have seen countless times where he was in  a perfect position to recive a pass was begging 4 d ball and the other player opted to do some sorta folly.

IF our players learn how to pass d football jones will b scoring  4 d red ,white and black

like some ah allyuh dont understand the expression hands down. so let mi put it this way, as  i becoming to understand u must not make assumptions of ppl comprehension.

the gap between our foreign based and locals is getting smaller. think this easier to understand

« on: September 07, 2009, 02:27:17 PM »
only on a T&T football site would u see such a question.
we question the players passion as is our right, but where is the passion of our supporters? how patriotic are we?  at the drop of a feather we deny our identity. its no suprise then, that our players have issues with country vs club. maybe the fact that they give more for their club has to do more with us "fans" than with them

Football / Can we expect to see wholesale changes?
« on: September 06, 2009, 07:10:57 AM »
I really want to see the "younger" players get ah good shake.  Want to really see what there made of and its obviously a time to rebuild  as the old stagers should be hanging up there boots, this over reliance on the older players sometimes repress  the  development of our "younger players".

I really hope we see some new faces for our next game.

To be quite honest ,  I no longer believe our foreign based players are hands down better than our local based

where are our midfielders?  the rebounds always going straight to the houndurans cause our midfielders ball watching. all 4 defenders were in the box but not a midfielder in sight.

no brother no own goal was scored

not exactly. maybe they want it too much.  conceding wont help either

2 nil lawd.  concacaf team may be meeting argentina.

poor tactics argentina trying to attack down the flanks and cross. thats english style ball. especially when your targets are messi and tevez and the brazilian defenders are very tall

argentina only going wide and trying to cross but    their strikers are very small in stature  and outnumbered in the box.

firstly a ref is never going to be ahead of such a play therefore the ref has to rely on the view from the back. the first thing he is going to ask himself is did the goalkeeper touch the ball? NO.
was there contact between keeper and player yes. thats a penalty. now after  seeing replays we will be able to say rooney dragged his foot on the keeper, which he did. but i can never fault a ref for making that once the keeper does not touch the ball or isnt trying to pull out of the  collision.

i dont know how u interpreting " in a position to score a goal" but any good player can score from that position.

anyways this aint my fight.  barca all d way
