This is so sad and disgraceful! This is lower than low! The Minister of Sport needs to investigate this ! In fact Kamla should ask him to ! The government has to declare its  hand on this, it is reprehensible!

If this was the U.S., Warner wouldve been forced to resign by now.

What an evil fkng person

Opinions divided here as well: http://oatcakefanzine.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=Potters&action=display&thread=184888

And this comment sums it up for me:

'Same old story. Pulis plays players out of their natural position and the player is subject to merciless abuse by the Pulis apologists on this site. KJ was our top scorer in the PL last season despite problems in his personal life but has found himself displaced by a 31 yo gangly wuss who is apparently immune from critisism. It is little wonder that KJ is disillusioned and has lost confidence. I have no doubt that will he want away in the summer and I for one do not blame him.'

Alyuh fellas cyah be serious. How you expect KJ to be bossing ah midfield? Worst yet vs Man Utd? Jokers alyuh is. This fella is NOT that type of player to be playing in combination from defense all the way to the final pass. He is not Iniesta. Kj supposed to just move into space receive a pass give it off and move for a final ball - most likely from a cross pass.

Again, what alyuh expect from de man. Next alyuh go say he eh goalkeep well. The coach had crap strategy and shyte tactics. None of the players did any thing. Look at where KJ had to receive a ball. KJ freeing men on the side to cross balls and they can't even do that. When he did he did well to bring the rest of the team into play. Funny alyuh could understand all the shyte Rooney does be playing, or tha shyte hound Jones and call them best player, but cyah give KJ a lil pips when he trying to play in a position absolutely not suited for him.

Get real fellas.

Excellent post Elan...........the funny thing is, if Kenwyne was playing so much shit, why did he play the full 90mins??

Having watched that game i was asking myself the same thing, i just don't like how the whole thing looked, it was clear that Jones was operating under specific instructions to drop back in midfield when Stoke didn't have the ball and when he got possession he tried to drive the team forward speeding the ball wide. The whole team was lacking belief, Pulis put Jones in that position, in my interpretation to provide that extra body in midfield to help defensively and even though he dropped back he never at any point put pressure on the ball. Scholes and Carrick just passed it around him every time. It looked really bad, and when he put the ball wide there wasn't any drive to get in the box, he would stay outside the area. I was just a bit bemused by the whole thing.

Pulis played Jones in midfield because he was conceding defeat and decided to give KJ a charity sweat and make him look out of sorts to justify dropping him.

supporter, stop with de excuse.....

Yorke haven't played for so long and I am sure he could still walk back on the T&T team today or play or any club in the lower english league.

KJ is a dam professional making millions and cant kick or pass a ball.... he dies run like he have knock knee....

He weak for a big man and blasted lazy....

Go on de Stoke forum and ask about KJ and see what they say...

Oh believe me, I know KJ can be very lazy on the pitch. Ive been very critical of him when he plays for us. And maybe he was lazy and uninterested yesterday, only he knows. All I'm saying is that its not easy playing your first 90 min match in months against ManUtd, regardless.

Hope they find the cowards responsible for this.

You cant really fault KJ for his performance though. Aside from him playing out of position he also hasnt played a full 90 in how long? Its tough for a player to not start for months and then be asked to play out of position at old trafford and expect him to look sharp.

Shocking. Jan is a really nice guy.

I'm so disapointed that this didn't make big news, and even more frustrated that football hasn't come together to give him support. The TTFF and ProLeague should be ashamed.  Football could use this issue as a way of shaming the criminal fraternity and the inaction of the police. And it sounds as if her co workers were not too supportive either.

I pray she pulls through.

Agreed. This is horrible.

But, to expand on FireBrand's list by adding Spann and Birchall:

Signed

Carlyle Mitchell (D)- Vancouver White Caps
Cordell Cato (M)– Seattle Sounders
Kevan George (M)- Columbus Crew
Keon Daniel (M)- Philadelphia Union?

Chris Birchall (M) - LA Galaxy ?

Trialists
Scott Sealy (S)- FC Dallas
Quame Holder (M)- New York Red Bulls
Lehann Anderson (M) – Portland Timbers
Daryll Roberts (S)- Houston Dynamo
Silvio Spann (M) - Columbus Crew

Quite a number of trinis getting some great experience and exposure!

35M for Andy Caroll dismisses that load of filth you just wrote!  That young shithong that displaced Carlos @ Sunderland and now starting on your team nullifies that f**kry yuh just type.  I can't believe of all people, you cited that management equivalent to a f**kin amoeba Steve Bruce to make a point about KJ.  the same Jackass that ran off Darren Bent who is a top shelf striker.  The same conthole that Gyan left the primeirship to play in Iran because of!  You not f**kin easy nah, you are an English fan and you are biased.  You also don't like KJ as a player so yuh bised from 2 angles.  You should probably recuse yourself from any discussion regarding KJ given your low estimation of the player.  As for Crouch, he did well in the National team no argument whatsoever.  However as a club fottballer he is sub par and that is being polite.  If we are going to paint KJ as unworthy (my interpretation of the opinions here) then Crouch is at minimum equally un-fackin-worthy!  Where has Crouch ever been where he has been the focal part of a winning club?  Where has Crouch been that he's been simply outstanding as a club player?  What did Crouch do @ Tottenham up until Pulis brought him in to merrit the price they tag?  Whay isn't stoke a much better team with him in the starting line up than they have been with the likes of KJ, Fuller & Walters?

When your KJ totee get hard blood does rush from your f**king head and deaden yuh optical nerve or what?  Can't read or can't process what yuh read... which one?  My comment wasn't disputing whether English teams overpay for English talent...that is a known fact. My comment was that it is ridiculous to assert that English holding down PL spots simply because they are English like JC say. Do you understand the differences inherent to both statements or yuh need mih to spell it out fuh yuh with Crayolas?

Carroll and Henderson is young (both 22 years old) promising English players, of course they will get a chance to develop in England and teams for whatever reasons overpaying for them.  If they display any degree of potential, and both have, then teams would be willing to hedge their bets on them.  But who are they keeping out of the Liverpool squad?  Which foreign player lost a spot to them because they're English? If they wasn't playing for Liverpool what evidence you or JC have to show that the roster spot would have gone to a foreigner, BUT FOR Carroll or Henderson?  In fact give one example of a foreign player losing out to an English man solely (or even largely) because of nationality.

You telling me about recusing myself?  Ah man who nose hole does get wide facking open anytime man only say "Ken"... let alone "Kenwyne"?  You have all kinda balls stains in de palm ah yuh facking hands from carrying Kenwyne jock but you want to talk to me about bias?  You think me being a fan of the English national team means that I would rate up Crouch (a player who I personally indifferent to) over anybody else?  You have to be either a ass or a marble.  Stoke isn't better with Crouch because the team has other significant shortcomings, and Pulis greatest tactical ability involves manipulation of the Brittania's configurations.  None of that makes Crouch a failure when he has more to offer Stoke when he's on the pitch.

You could attack Bruce on other managerial failings all yuh want but that smoke and mirrors tactic still fails to excuse or explain why KJ failed under both Keane and Pulis and quickly lost favor with both as well.  I suppose you in yuh St. Anthony's striped jockey shorts know better about KJ's abilities than all three. Clearly his failure to live up to the hype is the result of their inability to recognize talent when they see it.  Is a wonder you have time to launder KJ jockey shorts when yuh should be managing a PL side instead.

Man, relax. You killin yet another thread with your nonsense.

I cah even bother with this pack ah shit I readin here from some posters nah.  Crouch is ah rank f**kin shithong and if he was a foreigner he would have already been out of the EPL many moons ago.  Other than having better dribbling ability he is no where no how better than KJ.  Gets into better positions?!  And do fackin what?  Throw wey!!!  Man doh know how to appreciate the quality that KJ brings caw if Crouch is better and gets himself in better positions why is his shot : goals ratio almost identical if not worse by now than KJs?  Crouch is a point blank shittong that can dribble buh he English so naturally they hype him up and some of these fools here buy into the hype.  JC save yuh keystrokes dan caw plenty ah dem people here eatin de shit dat english media feedin dem an swear is sugar.

And I know some of you are trying to approach this rationally but I dont quite understand how Trinidadians can favor a player who pulled Brent Sancho's dreads to score the crucial goal against us in the 2006 WC. Crouch is a c*nt and, even rationally, not the better player. Granted, he has some qualities that he is better at than KJ. But, what riles me is that even when Stoke go on a poor run of form, Pulis still wont give KJ a sweat. And now its gotten to the point where even Cameron Jerome is getting more playing time than KJ! That just aint right. If Stoke were in great form then I could understand the team selection, but their form has not been great of late.

Football / Re: Jones is going nowhere, insists City boss Pulis

Crouch's one redeeming quality is that he "has a good touch for a big man".

He is nowhere near as good a header of the ball as Kenwyne, as a matter of fact for his height his heading ability is actually sub par.

Physically he is not as dominant as KJ.

He is not clinical and his finishing ability is nothing out of the ordinary.

Defensively he offers less than KJ.

The only category in which he is better than KJ is in ball control and dribbling with the ball at his feet, but as a supposed big target man type, that is lagniappe.

Stoke was a better team with KJ than they are with Crouch. The only reason why Crouch does get so much forward at Stoke (and at all previous clubs), and the only reason why his value is higher is because he is English! If Kenwyne was English he would be top 4 (eg. Andy Carroll).

Cut away that outer lining and you will see that Crouch is a shithound to the core.

Bingo.

According to sky sports, peter crouch could face a 3 match ban for violent conduct on saturday against west bromich albion on their central defender jonas olssen, according to sky, crouch was seen trying to gouge out the eyes of olssen. right now the FA is revioewing the tapes along with balotelli / clownotelli (damn idiot) incident.

Crouch doing something despicable to gain an unfair advantage on the football pitch? No way, I cant believe that!  ::)

And put me in the crowd that knows that KJ better than Crouch. Crouch is one of the most overrated players in the league.

Pulis was going to bring him on yesterday, but changed his mind and brought Jerome on instead.  He didn't look a happy bunny.

Good! Its time KJ stick up for himself and show his displeasure because this nonsense has been going on for too long. You cant not play the man for months at a time. Pulis is an ass.

Nah man, the only way to get change is to not support this mess, financially. I hope that stadium is empty for this 'friendly'. Btw, this match wont happen anyway. You guys should know better.
Yuh drinkin this early in the day bredder?? :o boss, the finnish  team dun in trinidad already, and as ah matter of fact, they mustbe training @ the stadium right now as i type, so what's to prevent the game from happening except for ah natural disaster? God forbid.

anyway bro, the TTFF real source of income from games is not so much gate receipts, but rather adverts, cooperate sponsors for the event and broadcast rights. so whether you attend or not, stadium full or not, they will still turn ah buck.

like i said earlier, the executive body don't take to the field, but rather the boys, and if the boys don't have true fans to cheer them on, then it's best for the TTFF to suspend football indefinitely. what's the use of sports without spectatorship.

PS: the irony of your name, and you advocating abstinence.  you might need tuh change that to something more appropriate.

Bro, I did say it half-jokingly, but you forget this is the TTFF we are talking about? Until those players kick-off, I wont believe anything stemming from the TTFF is confirmed. As for usernames, how about 'blindly_supporting_criminals' sound for you?

4 mill for KJ? Man, his value has dropped. So, Touches, you cant say that all hes missing out on is goals and appearances. Look how much his stock has fallen...and that factors into the future wage he will get and in priority playing time moving forward.
