i wouldnt say it was our best gm since 2000 without our defense, but we did play better than the 5-1 scoreline would indicate. but that doesnt say much and that dont mean the midfield didnt play some real shit at times,especially when it came to helping out defensively and closing down men (which we still dont do).

palos,we all know tnt usually let us down, but you figure that the boys learn they lesson from last time and at least put up a respectable performance. lose 2-1,not 5-1. with no friendlies and the attitude ttff has and yes,anyone can really predict the tnt outcomes.but why then do we follow the team and their games? answer: that they pull off a result and can scrap their way to a 4th spot. hence why i am deflated. this is a huge blow in our qc quest. goal diff is huge this rd. world cup only comes every 4 yrs so when you are in the hole after only 2 games it is deflating.i couldve predicted a tnt loss like you or anyone else following the team based on their preparations, but it still doesnt make it any easier when they take 5 up the ass.

you all want a recap?? or a game report?? simply re-read the recaps from previous games.....ITS THE SAME DAMN SHIT. we lose but if we just couldve done a little bit here and a little bit there then maybe we come out with a result. same thing as the U.S. game, except now shaka has a poor game and the defense was horrendous, and we take 5.

i am absolutely stunned and embarrassed. im glad tv 6 didnt show this!trinidad would drop football if people saw this. i am usually optimistic on these boards but bertille has some serious questions to answer. i really cant defend him anymore after this performance. if we dont win wednesday then thats it folks.

now with this said, as bad as we played, 5-1 didnt reflect the game too well because we did have chances we shouldve taken(stern). but all people look at is scoreline, and we were embarrassed. i am embarrassed i paid to see this match.we got what we deserved...no friendlies,no result.learn ttff.

the issues of the game:
1.our defense was horrible, allyuh who say give lawerence a chance come apologise to the board. big marv was SORELY missed. guat played balls down our defensive wings and our d-men couldnt keep up.where is avery?bertille,you want to answer that?
2.carlos edwards was boss tonight.the lone bright spot. he was running all over the place, played smart and with passion.the midfield as a whole was ok but im sorry,leslie cant cut it, he plays hard but hes just tactically inept. not good with decisions. we need someone to hold the ball and keep it on the ground
3.we still playing route one football,too much longball,even agst short guats.
4.the strikers shouldve done better,yorke trying but you know yorke need people around him that can play to make him look good. kenwyne hustled, and so did stern, but stern couldnt finish. the strikers sum up the teams performance:worked hard but were poor tactically(bertille?)
5.shaka is usually our star,but he was off today.

we give up 7 goals in two games now. if i were in charge id be stressing heavily on Defense. but right now i dont feel like typing anymore because this is a damn shame and im embarrassed as hell, and totally deflated

So you see the attitude of Channel 4, TV-6 and the rest of them? back in 1989 we had ONE TV station but saw ALL of the strike Squad's away games. Is 2005, we have Channel 4, TV-6, Gayelle, IE TV and Synergy, FIVE local stations, and NOT ONE OF THEM F!@#$'s willing to meet 1/2 the cost of bringing the game! But leh we win nah.. ALL ah them go be asking jack and the TTFF for FREE MEDIA pass. These people have NO PATRIOTISM AT ALL BOY!!!

I don't think patriotism has anything to do with it.  It's simply a case of profit margins.  The Warner offer was interesting, did he mention how much the full cost of the broadcast would be? 

I think it's important to recognize that the few people who post in this board are die-hard T&T football fans (and die-hard football fans in general).  So the few will always be interested, no matter how badly we're playing.  I doubt our feelings are representative of the general population.  perhaps the TV stations have the wrong impression.  Whch is why I suggested calling and harrassing the TV outlets, if they sensed a demand they may be persuaded.

Frankly, I think if many of you were in the private sector, you would be as cautious with how you spend your money, especially when it comes to an organization which has promised much and delivered little.

profit margins my ass. this is a wcq game. if the station stands to lose a little money by broadcasting it then so be it.its their damn duty to show this.

I visited the TTFF office yesterday and bad news, there will be NO live coverage of the game in T&T on TV OR radio!!! I will post more on this later, after work.

did you ever think that the cost outweighs the available sponsor money, it certainly seems that not many people outside T&T and Guatemala are interested in the game, World Cup Qualifier or not.

it doesnt matter who watching it outside tnt and guat. pay for the rights and people in tnt will watch the match. you tellin me sponsors wont come on board because they feel nobody will watch?please. if they can air the us gm then they can air this one

Fellas, let Lawrence  play.  Allyuh need to relax a lil bit.  The same Andrews allyuh calling for is the man who has been woeful to date in the qualifiers:

1 - Gave up goal against Mexico in fisrt two minutes of game (Goal)

2 - Gave free header to Eddie Johnson in the game in the Oval (Goal)

And this is just what I remember off hand.  Look, I know men will get vex at me for posting this as Dog is a fan favourite on this site, but he really has not been very sturdy in the back for T&T this present campaign.  Too error prone.  You could tackle as hard as you want, his lapses in concentration have been very costly so far.

in case u havent noticed, big dog has been tearing it up at ibrox recently.his form is superb right now. we need that more than ever.

As I ponder this question, I am taken  back with the images of the coach leading the team in sessions. If you look at the TNT  football  Federation site go to the article TNT regroups for Honduras. You will see apicture where BSC is  actualy  in front as the team appears to be jogging.

If this old man could outrun we team, we in trouble. This episode reminds me of the novel "THE OLD MAN AND THE SEA by Hemmingay. Read it and you will see the connections and the moral. Trying in vein to catch the big fish aganist all odds. Did the old man have the tools or the fortititude?
