Ok easy up here breds; this is call tonuge in cheek humor. Yuh know how it's like when you live abroad and yuh  knda lose touch with the familiar. So in this case I used the analogy of Stern and the British surroundings compared to the Trini food just like him losing touch with the scoring.

Nuff said; this man should prove valuable to us; even if he is a decoy fuh the opposition to mark.

I took no issue with you analogy, i just thought you were a bit too harsh in calling him a flop!

Rodney,TNT gave the man  the 'green light' and the confidence to go score but so far  it's been a flop!!!!!!!!

Too much British ale and crumpets, dolls and that Britsih food done spoil the man.

Let the man come home tuh some tun tun; dasheen, eddoes, cassava, bake and saltfish and some hops bread and cheese and discover  how hard it is to work fuh what you want in football.

I'm dissappointed in u albertatrini! 3 games without a goal and you consider stern a fop in de national team? and whois to say that st clair didnt use him in de same role that he was being used at coventry!

I expect these kind of comments from triniman, not you albertatrini! if you can, pleasse explain to me what you were really trying to say

long flight, percieved inept teammates, blatant favoritism and low pay

the question is asked why would these men give their all when in their mind they probably lookin for the next contract?

that is where the love for one's counrty comes in.  But in any case, dem fellas does get ah nice lil raise when dey playing for de warriors.  When angus eve slap down de mexican in oval for spitting on him four years ago he was fined 9,000 TT which amounted to half of his match fee!

Benhakker's contract starts on May de first!! ah hope alyuh note that! anything that he does now is for free and should be considered as a bonus!

I was realiably imformed that he is putting a lot of things in place for the match against panama.  He already has drafted up local players that he is interested in and has plans of attending PFL games for every round! (just like errickson...lol).  He is no joker i assure you and will prepare this team the best way he can for the next game against panama!

He has international respect (without relying on money like jack does) so he is better able to organise friendlies with the national team!

He isnt stupid enugh to say things like "it go be ah whole different ball game in de next round" Everyone has de eye for talent but what Benhakker does well is finding appropriate roles for the right people!

I not sure that he has enough time to transform this side but i know that over time he CAN make a difference!

Watch and see how hard men go be running in training....lol (except yoke of course...dat is "ah we boy")

yorke made 26,000 a week at blackburn but took a pay cut at Bham
i know that glenn makes around $7,000 US a month
stern is around 10,000 pounds a week
fitzpatrick and rojas are around 5,000 to 6,000 US a month

i eh know bout cox and jones, but ah tink jones is at least 3,000 pounds a week.

by de way, if latas comes back for 20,000 pounds a months as an assistant coach for de warriors, he will be taking ah drop in salary!!

PS: If any ah dem fellas or dey family go missing, i sending de police by you!!

Dcs that is why we tend to have low level players because they dont know the value of fighting for their place...jus becauzse it look difficult for a man to break into a team dont mean you should move him to a softer team how is that suppose to raise their level? Trini players dont fight games and cant perform in pressure suituations let him work his ass off he is at a top team let him appreciate the value of hardwork  if he keeps performing the coach will put him in slowly but surely you think the coach chose him as an allocated foreign player to sit him on the bench?..I watched his games recently and his level has dropped off he doesnt deserve to be starting neither does stern....to be the best you have to compete and train with the best yorke used to bench like i doh know what  and look at the heights he got to?

that is so true! we realy dont know de value of wuking tuh be on ah team! (stern knows it) but i think that as soon as we see on ah we boys in trouble tuh make ah side, we quick tuh say that he should move tuh another club!

it's amazing that everyone says that stern is in a scoring slump and should be dropped but when you check the records he is still our top scorer in this campaing and is the second highest scorer at coventry with 9 goals, three behing de leader.  We just need to bear with him because he is our best player! Whether anyone likes it or not! I'm not saying that he should be allowed to pull de side stones but he needs to be encouraged.  I have never had a problem with stern starting, even if benhakker continues to start him i will not have a problem, but what had me screaming in de stands (ask touches, patrot, hyperhotJ and cowen) was de fact that bertile refused to substitute him!

I just read that rahim appeared to be suprised by him exclusion from the national set up! lol. had he been watching the games that he has played on tape?

the coach will always give john a call up and of course hes goin to play against both panama and mexico
the question we need to ask is how long will he play and if he will start

whether anyone likes it or not, stern is class! he must start. his reputation preceeds him and he will always draw defenders.  I have seen all the world cup games so far and what i can say is that stern`s style of play has not changed, its just that he isnt scoring. Even when stern was scoring in every international game for de warriors, his workrate was always poor.  I still think that stern should start but what i would like to see is that he is substituted when he isnt doing well on de field!

Glen, JOnes, Pierre, Scotland (whose work rate is worse), are not 90 minute replacements for stern!

The fact remains, for us to qualify for germany, we NEED a goal scoring stern. full stop!

remember fellas, this david sullivan is de same man who tell yorke that he shoulda just go tuh de other end of de field when he was being racially abused! dem fall out long time and this is just a continuation of that!

Yorke has been playing well and steve bruce himself has admitted that but its just that the yorke heskey combination was linking well but wasnt producing goals!

He declared his intent to bring his  'stoogies' from his homeland

Compared our game to CR and Guatemala; noticed he did not  comapre us to the U.S.A.

Has not revealed any methodical public plan for the team

Basically said that he noticed weakness in the defence, midfield and attack; in other words the WHOLE DAMN team neeeds fixing.

de fact that he eh compare us to de US shows that benhakker is realistic and isnt in de business of mamaguying us! i like that. he saw all three games and gave us his honest opinion. I`m sure that the US structure is very advanced and he thinks that CR and Guatemala is within range!

At least he isnt saying "it go ah whole new ball game" and "we are going to make it to the world cup, dont worry" (famous st clair quotes)
