Football / Re: WARRIORS given....
« on: June 25, 2006, 10:36:20 AM »
That money was wayyy more than i expected Manning to give out and any more would have been irresponsible on his part. Remember that the players would have also or were supposed to get money from Fifa as well. Thirty one million dollars($31,000,000.00) is a lot of money to be just giving away just so and on top of that some of you wanted them to get house and land. Madness!!! They were overly rewarded here and by no means should any of them or any of us be vex. One thing that this reward should do is raise the motivation levels of our future players because just making the cup again will not suffice because no extra rewards will come out of that but if they were to make the 2nd round or further, they would then be rewarded.

« on: June 25, 2006, 10:21:38 AM »
Shirt exchanging has nothing special in it, whoever a player feels to exchange his jerseys with, he does. I remember a coach asking for Zidane's jersey during halftime, it was a champion's league game if i am correct.

Fire bun the US team and them friends.

Football / Encouraging words from a great Italian player.
« on: June 22, 2006, 02:36:59 AM »
I've been following AC Milan as long as i can remember and one of my favourite players there was Daniele Massaro so i was reading an interview FIFAworldcup.com had with him about his thoughts on the Azzurri and i was so glad when i saw this answer to one of their questions, this really does show that we have come far.

Which team has surprised you the most so far?
Trinidad and Tobago have brought colour and warmth but they also have a good team. They were more than a match for both Sweden and England.

Check the whole interview at http://fifaworldcup.yahoo.com/06/en/060619/1/7unn.html

comming from the same man who say beenie was the most dissapointing man of de WC

Say what you want, it shows why the man has never won a game in the world cup. It's my right to criticise what i saw were shitty decisions because if it is not criticised, it will just happen again. If you want to accept a mediocre performance from a player, fine by me but i want and deserve better, we as a country deserve better. I don't want to be seen in the streets of London or Germany and all people have to say is where yuh partying tonight, i want to hear "aye you're from T&T right, i remember in the world cup when you all beat England" then the englishman thinks back to what he said and wants to start me because T&T put them out the cup.... :rotfl: :rotfl: :beermug:

Football / Are we in T&T true supporters of football??
« on: June 20, 2006, 11:24:52 PM »
After the game i was in a desolate mood, i couldn't even fathom the thought of celebrating, yet still i see people jumping up and wining down the place like if we made the 2nd round. Sweden drew against us and their fans wanted to cry yet we lost and we jump up. Are we truly supporting football or just there to party. What do you all think? I know trini love to party, give us a chance and carnival will last for a week but when we lost to England and Paraguay, it was really disheartening for me and in no way could i bring myself to celebrate. It comes as though someone loses a loved one yet they gone a dance the same night. That's not a true fan.

I think Latapy would have a lot to offer as a coach, T&T should look into bringing him on just as Germany did with Klinsman and Holland with Van BAsten.

A man had great tickets for the World Cup Final. As he sits down,
another man comes down and asks if anyone is sitting in the empty seat next to
him.

"No," he says. "The seat is empty." This is incredible!" says the other
man. "Who in their right mind would have a seat like this for the World
Cup Final, the biggest sporting event in the world, and not use it?"

"Well, actually, the seat belongs to me. My wife was supposed to come
with me, but she passed away.

This is the first World Cup Final we haven't been to together since we
got married in 1966 in London."

"Oh ... I'm sorry to hear that. That's terrible. But couldn't you find
someone else, a friend or relative, or even a neighbor to take the
seat?"

The man shakes his head. "No. They're all at the funeral."

Funny but old.

It is just something to laugh at, did not thought i would get a comment like that

I am just saying that the joke has been around for a while now.

2006 World Cup - Germany / Re: My Line-up for England minus Avery
« on: June 14, 2006, 12:27:41 PM »
I just have a feeling that Beenhakker will go with Carlos in the back but Theobald has to get the bench and Stern must start so he could be the target in the middle that will keep Ferdinand and Terry occupied while we work the weak links on the wing (Neville and Cole).

2006 World Cup - Germany / Re: What the media say Birchall say
« on: June 14, 2006, 12:13:32 PM »
If Birchall make the mistake and pass on any good shooting opportunities against England, he can't come back to Trinidad cause i personally will pelt him. This is all about football, not birth place over adopted home. If he wants to get a big contract, he better net if given the chance.

77
I am an optimist but i am also a realist. England is just one of the hurdles Trinidad has to face and experience counts for a lot when you speak about winning the cup and T&T don't have that experience.

            shaka-bc jack not 100%

edwards          sancho      tallest        grey

                           birchall

samuel       yorke        whitley       wise

                       jones

the reason ah pick jones is bc he is a player who will run back and play d, stern and glenn wasnt doin dat atall in de game, dey juss playing upfront and limin, jones plays an allround game, wise on de left and smauel on de right bc he samuel is a natural right footer and can cross, so can wise, wise will also bring possession on de left, dis team is a very good all round, which will pose more of a threat than de sweden line-up and playing edwards in de back will allow us 2 build our attack from the back wihout this boom kick

vibes it up

And u just post in a nex thread to take edwards outta right back dred????????

he's playing Beenhakker and trying to trick us :rotfl: :rotfl: but really and truly, Edwards can't last a 90 in defense.

Football / Re: Bring Stern on as a sub
« on: June 12, 2006, 10:52:10 AM »
It's either Stren starts or don't play at all because if you bringing on a sub in the 2nd you will want him to be a runner and that's not Stern's role in Beenhakker's game plan so he has to start to wear down the defence then when we bring on Glen or Jones, they'll be running against heavy legged defenders and they may or should be able to capitalise.

the hardest group is

cote d ivore
servie montenegro
holland
argentina

in that group usa would not survive

good luck usa and england

Football / Re: Move carlos out of right back
« on: June 12, 2006, 10:32:47 AM »
He cannot last a whole 90 defensively because although he made the face saving tackle against Ljunberg, he would not have had to make it in the first place if he had cleared good in the first instance. We don't need that shit again cause it might not come out in his/our favour on the next occasion.

2006 World Cup - Germany / Re: My Line-up for England minus Avery
« on: June 12, 2006, 10:20:19 AM »
Exactly what weight did Stern not pull. All through the match Sweden had 4 defenders agaisnt Stern and he was pulling all of them. What is a man to do with long balls played into him with his back to goal and 2 defenders on his back and another waiting to clean up??? Beenhakker's strategy should be changed for Stern to move out onto the wing where again he'll draw the defence and then have a pace man like Glen or Kenwyne running down the middle. That should have been for Sweden game but for England, the pace mansay Kenwyne or Glen could run the wing because that's where England are weaker and Kenwyne could definitely 'out pounds' Cole or Neville. Beenhakker is afraid to attack because of our defence being leaky so you can't blame Stern for what the coach told him to do.

I say fire bun the US side, i hope they get 4 from the Czechs. Max Bretos described T&T as the worst side in the cup and they never have anything good to say about us so with that i hope they finish with no points then lets hear what Bretos and Coby Jones and the rest of fools have to say.

T&T needs to beware of Sweden's fast start, i draw reference again to their game against Bulgaria when they hit them 5.

I was watching the video and the China man helped with that Cisse injury because he hooked Cisse's foot which sent him off balance and he wasn't able to negotiate the fall properly. This is his 2nd career threatening injruy and with God's grace, i hope he makes it back again.

Football / Re: Birchall could be middle man
« on: June 08, 2006, 01:17:00 PM »
When i look at Birchall, he reminds me of Gattuso for Italy and Milan but less intense. He also has a better shot than Gattuso but Gattuso outweighs him in everything else.
