On another note, if we win the cup, we sure to get a week home, the government might send everybody to Tobago for a two days in batches for a holiday. :beermug: :beermug: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I see a man say play our usual attacking football :rotfl: :rotfl: since when we play that kind of football. We need to come out strong, try to attack them from the outset, score 2 and go in up at halftime then 10 men behind the ball for the 2nd half. Everytime i think about Sweden these days, i remember when they hit Bulgaria 5 and in that game, they just jumped out the gates and swamped the Bulgarians. I just hope Beenhakker shows the players that tape so they will expect them.

I'm an optimist but i also have to be a realist. That statement would be a dream come true but right now, it's only a dream because with the likes of Holland, Brazil, Argentina, Germany, Italy and the other 400 horse power engines there are out there, the trini corolla just nah make it. :rotfl: :rotfl:

Football / FIFAworldcup.com declares captain Yorke a Motivator
« on: June 08, 2006, 10:21:55 AM »
FIFAworldcup.com have categorised the 32 team captains with Yorke fitting into the motivator role.

Veterans - Been there, seen it, done it
Role Models - Models of excellence
Organisers - The art of organisation
Motivators - Leaders on the park
Goalscorers - The men who lead from the front

Experienced, well-respected, and typically among the country's finest footballing ambassadors, only a chosen few are awarded the badge of honour that is the captain's armband. These men are natural-born leaders, whose influence on the pitch can prove even more important than their contribution as players.
The art of captaincy

The captain's role can take many forms, but one of the key ingredients is the ability to keep a cool head in a crisis, boosting team-mates' morale and making them believe they can turn things around. Good captains never shy away from a battle, and never let their heads drop, no matter how bleak things may seem. The ability to motivate, and bring hope and encouragement to those around them are priceless in the white-hot atmosphere of a FIFA World Cup™.

Juan Sorin, Pekerman's right-hand man
Having captained Argentina's U-20 side to victory at the FIFA World Youth Championship in 1995 under Jose Pekerman, Sorin was the automatic choice once his former mentor was given the senior national team job. Sorin's versatility enables him to adapt seamlessly to any position on the left flank, and his fierce will to win makes him a key figure in Argentina's bid for glory this summer in Germany. The gifted left-footer also played a prominent role in club side Villarreal's recent charge to the UEFA Champions League semi-finals.

Mark Viduka, voice of experience
As one of the most famous Australian players of all time, it came as no surprise to see coach Guus Hiddink award Viduka the captain's armband previously worn by Craig Moore. Following a glittering club career spanning clubs in Croatia, Scotland and England, the 30-year-old marksman is delighted to be leading out the Socceroos on his first-ever appearance on world football's biggest stage.

Stephen Appiah, a force of nature
It may be Ghana's first-ever FIFA World Cup finals, but captain Stephen Appiah has already accumulated a vast store of international experience. A member of the Black Starlets side that won the FIFA U-17 World Championship in 1995, Appiah's strength and determination have made him the undisputed leader of a Ghana team looking to take Germany by storm this summer.

Savo Milosevic, veteran frontman
Just two games short of completing a landmark 100 appearances in the colours of the former Yugoslavia and later Serbia and Montenegro, Savo Milosevic's experience ensures that he, and not Mladen Kristajic, is his country's first choice as captain in Germany. The Plavi will need all of the 32-year-old striker's know-how in one of the toughest groups in Germany.

Dwight Yorke, a special talent
The gifted forward’s finest moment came at former club Manchester United, with whom he lifted the Champions League title in 1999. At 34 years of age, this summer's tournament will be Yorke's first-ever FIFA World Cup finals, and you can be sure that the T&T captain and coach Leo Beenhakker's "special player" will be up for the challenge.

Tell the girllysss(once they are legal age) and the wimmenz(not the menz who like to play wimmenz) to come visit Trinidad after the cup and they'll see the real party. You could come too but yuh must bring at least 3 girls with you.

Cameroon lost to the Soviets 4-0 and still topped the group and the Soviets didn't even make it through because they came last in the group.

he supposedly did well coaching the clubs but can't win a game in the biggest football show on earth

Didn't Holland make it into the second rounds under Beenie Man? If so they had to have won at least one game and probably drawn one. Right?

They did not win any games as far a tallman said so they must have drawn 3 or lost 1 and drawn 2.

Well this leads me to the third problem ..and it may surprise some .... Beenhakker is still to win a game with a team in the world CUP.

The fact that he has no experience winning at this level must be taken into account when we assess his ability to do miracles ! He had a much better Dutch team before and could not et a single victory !

Nevertheless, they did reach de second rounds where they were eliminated by eventual winners Germany.

Well one thing is that we have history on our sides and numbers. 1973 - 1989 and 1989 - 2006 as the numbers(16 years apart) and the smallest country ever to compete in the cup and Beenhakker's world cup side got to the 2nd round without a victory so i guess they drew all their first round matches and then faced Germany in the 2nd round. T&T could do the same get 2nd in the group and then face Germany who'll be the likely group A winner. Hmmmmm.... the prospectus looking better by the day. :rotfl: :rotfl:

Holland 2
Mexico 1

That's a fair result but Van Basten picking some shit sides right now so Mexico could surprise them and hopefully they will for Holland's sake so they won't make a first round exit.

FATZ u serius!!??

Very serious, hitting yuself 3 beat a game(the equal to supposedly beating a man and heading in the direction of your goal) and sending in 1 good cross out on 7 and then not sending in any crosses on the 5 other opportunities that you get doesn't give you the right to be in the premiership.

It seems Beenhakker has a mental block where wolrd cups are concerned, he supposedly did well coaching the clubs but can't win a game in the biggest football show on earth and he continues to show the mental block with his current tactics. People will say he's experimenting, playing dead to catch cobeau alive but that is total shit. If it is that he's doing, then he's telling our players to go out and play shit now and play good when the cup starts. Some others saying that he's a big coach and that he's using different and strange tactics so that's why it is difficult for me and others to understand but there's no way with those tactics he is using, we will succeed. Different and strange = shit in this instance.

Football / Re: Some questions for Beenie
« on: June 01, 2006, 09:18:27 AM »
Stern already knows what it is to play in big games, Kenwyne and Cornell don't have that much experience so they should at least get a whole 45 to stretch their legs. Defence is weak for us so we could definitely try Sancho and Charles, forget Cox(use only as last ditch sub). Switch keepers at half time as well as some midfielders, use Samuel more and maybe give WOlfe a try and see what he does. Beenhakker also has to talk to Whitley and try to make him understand that he's no longer in Trinidad and that he's in Europe and heading for the big show so he has to stop wearing pampers and grow up and stop making rash and irresponsible tackles,he's one man who has to play all the games and for the full 90 because of his inexperience.

Birchall will get lost in the Prem, so too would many of the guys. Birchall has two aspects to work on in his game. His first touch and his left foot. His left foot is only used for standing. A two season in the Championship will do him well. He does have what it takes though. Having said that his 1st touch is not as heavy as it used to be.

A few of the other guys need to be consistent and fine tune aspects of their game. In Britain, work ethic and getting stuck in is important and some of them need to improve in this area.

Right now Carlos Edwards might be the only man ready for the Prem.

Carlos Edwards is worse, he shouldn't even be playing in the 1st division yet making it in the premiership

Oh ye of little or no faith, this is the same man who buss Mexico nets when the whole country was ponging him and he will be the same man to buss nets in the cup once he gets the chances and then it will be the same detractors who will be singing him the highest praises.

Fellaz

we winning 2-0 for sure!

we have no reason not to be this peru team
partly because of the fact that they bring there local squad,i.e. without the likes of Pizzaro,Solano and Farfan..... :beermug:

So how everybody feeling now that Government spend big money to bring Peru's 'BEST' side and all we get i a bunch of locals. This comes like if T&T was a big side and Jamaica call us for a friendly and we send a PFL 11... :rotfl:

Like I said I ent wearing it.  All yuh go look up from this talk and it go be JULY 9th I guess.  I am an action person.....if you say we taking it to the press and cuss people, call me.  Until then I out.  Steups.

You talking about how you have Jack and all these Assidas VPs on your cell, all that counts for nothing or your say counts for nothing because if i had their numbers, i'd be calling them and letting them know what shit is that with our jersey and i'd definitely get it changed.

119
Jack is a old dutty thiefing liar amd all i say is that every rope has an end. All how Jack rob and rape the country, people still paying 300 and 500 to go see the T&T vs Peru game and fulling Jack's pockets more, why don't we boycott the game because that should have been free to the public since government already paying all the money for the game and it really doesn't mean anything in the grand scheme of things except to make Jack more money. We trinis are so full of shit, it's a wonder Trinidad is still floating, we take everything and anything the powers that be feed us without asking any questions as to how much salt that have in it boy, is that gonna kill me.... :rotfl: :rotfl: I've seen so many posts on this forum about the shit that going on and the dislikes of many yet still they still supporting the devils.
